"I hate him," Anastasia whispered as her tears swiftly rolled down my cheeks. She wiped them away, feeling weak.
"I'm sorry, Luna," Jenny spoke sincerely, almost in regret that she had to tell her this information. "He had announced this to everyone. Even if you run away, he'll find you."
"Is there any way I can change his mind?" she asked, hoping there was, knowing there wasn't.
"I'm afraid not."
"Does he have.. any weaknesses?"
"Well, there is one thing I know," Jenny said in thought. "The Alpha's weakness is that he loses his control easily but you won't like what happens when he does."
Her face paled slightly as if remembering a certain event and Anastasia badly wanted to ask what happens when he loses his control.
If she began being a bad girl, will he lose his control and finally get rid of her? Will he let her go? Well, perhaps death was better than living in this hell.
Apparently, she couldn't take it anymore. Who would want to marry a stranger was beyond her. He must be insane and it wasn't normal.
"I'm tired," she sighed, leaning back on the couch and trying to understand the difficult situation she was in.
"I prepared a bath for you, Luna," Jenny offered.
It sounded like a fresh warm bath would be a really good idea for now. She nodded her head and stood up. She took the tray from the coffee table and led her out of the Alpha's office.
They walked back to his bedroom and entered the holy bathroom. She saw the bathtub already filled with water and bubbles. Jenny placed the tray beside the bathtub and gestured for her to get in.
Anastasia nodded with a smile. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, Luna." Jenny performed a curt bow then turned to leave her alone in the bathroom.
Releasing a heavy sigh, she stripped and got in the bathtub naked, feeling warmth wrapping around her body. She laid back and looked up at the ceiling, thinking about him.
She just didn't understand him. Not at all. All she knew was that he was somehow a very dangerous man and one wrong move could be something she'd regret for the rest of her life.
Would he really hurt her?
She felt frustrated. Looking afar, she took a grape from the tray Jenny left beside the bathtub and popped it in her mouth. Relaxing herself a little, she finally closed her eyes. She needed patience and a lot of thinking to get out of here.
Running away was the easy part. She would need some kind of strategy. God, this felt a lot like a movie. But she didn't feel scared at all. As a matter of fact, she was excited for an adventure.
Her whole life, she'd been a good girl. She always followed the rules. Perhaps deep in her heart's desire, she wanted more from her simple life. She wanted to explore different places and experience all kinds of memories to treasure.
But her father needed me. So she had to work to earn a lot of money. Some people were born with freedom. But she wasn't one of them. When she opened her eyes, she realized she had fallen asleep.
She stood out of the bathtub and found a white bathrobe which she assumed Jenny prepared for her. She wrapped it around her and tied it up. Walking out of the bathroom, she saw a beautiful dress along with an underwear placed on the bed.
If someone asked her, she'd say they look too sexy and seductive for her liking. It was almost as if to impress someone. Or more specifically, to impress him. Having no choice, she quickly dressed up.
The dress was truly beautiful and it reached mid thigh. A pair of doll shoes were placed on the floor. She put them on and to her utter shock, they fit perfectly. How the hell did they know her size? Not to mention this dress fit her right.
Before she could go on further with the matter, a polite knock echoed on the doors.
"Come in."
The doors opened and Jenny walked in. She smiled at her. "You look very beautiful, Luna."
Anastasia looked down shyly and blushed. "Thanks, I guess."
"The Alpha wants to meet you downstairs for dinner.
So was this what it's all about? She would dress up and dine with him. Then he could get to think she's his baby doll. She knew she looked like a barbie doll and she felt kind of used.
Her chocolate hair had fallen down her back in waves. She was wearing a dress and a pair of doll shoes. What should this make her think of him?
"Um." Without finishing her response, Jenny left the room. Sighing, she followed after her as she led her down the hallway. Downstairs, she could see the large dining room.
Many people surrounded the large and long dining table.
She felt shy all of a sudden when silence covered the atmosphere and many eyes darted towards me. Suddenly, she felt self-conscious even now that Jenny had walked further, leaving the full attention to her.
She followed her to the end of the table where she saw him. His eyes were dark and were staring at her intently, making her want to run away and hide inside his room.
Jenny pulled out a seat beside him and Anastasia sat there. She looked down now that people were openly staring at her with glints of curiosity. It made her nervous.
All of them were men.
She wondered why there were only men but then she saw a few maids who walked around in uniforms, taking a few glances at her occasionally.
She noticed they wore the same uniform as Jenny did. She suddenly remembered what Jenny told her earlier. She said she would serve the Alpha for the rest of her life which meant she would work for him as a maid her whole life?
How merciful was he that Jenny had to sacrifice her life serving him? Suddenly, she was back to reality and she remembered all eyes were focused on her, making her feel even more nervous than she already was.
"Don't look at her," the Alpha growled, loud enough to be heard.
