"No one knows who you are in Summerlane, so how did she identify you immediately?" His stubborn wife asked.
"I know I'm an expectant mother now, I'm already so pale and unattractive." She paused mid sentence tears briming from her eyes. This was the first time she felt like Noah was hiding something from her and she couldn't tell why.
"It's okay if you're attracted to someone else, but I would really appreciate it if you stop lying to me." Anna wiped her tears with the back of her hands. A lot was already going on in her family and Noah must already be tired of her. She understands his pain.
He has endured so much bullshit because of her and was already tired of her. Noah frowned at her words. He didn't like that one little exchange of greeting would make his wife doubt his love even after being together for months.
"She is an ex." He said. "I told you my grandfather set me up with a lot of women, she just happened to be one of them." He added.
"You're not pale and unattractive sweetheart. You're the sexiest expectant mother I've ever seen. The most beautiful, don't ever think I would love you less or pick anyone over you." Anna blushed but his words didn't give her the reassurance she needed.
She still needed to do a little findings about who the new girl is. Something tells her there was more to the story and Noah was only telling her a fraction of it.
"I'm sorry for doubting you." She said sweetly staring at him. This man, whom she had given her all to, she was just scared of getting hurt again.

During the time of noon, while Noah had left for work, Anna was scrolling through the net again searching and watching Imelda's videos of her singing. She was perfect, beautiful, she wondered why Noah never married her or even have anything to do with her.
Her voice was ten times better than that of Nari's, plus her songs are pretty good too. So far, Anna hasn't seen one flaw about her which made her wonder if she has any flaw.
Summerlane has been in shambles since her return, even most of Anna's fans were also fans of Imelda. There is no one in the country that doesn't know about her, but how come she didn't? Anna thought.
She dialed a number and the call went through. "The company were amazed by the photoshoot yesterday Anna, you're the best." Lola's voice rang from the other end.
"That is good to know." Anna said flatly. "I need a favour from you Lola." She said.
"What favour, did your stupid aunt do something again? Anna what are you waiting for, you have all evidence to bring them all down, why are you letting them live freely?" Lola asked. She knows Anna is Kindhearted, but enough was enough.
Those trio have done more than anyone would accept. They have bitten more than they can chew.
"No, it's not about them." Anna said. "I want to know a few things about Imelda." Surely, her manager would know about her.
"Oh, Imelda, I managed her once before she blew up. She's actually a sweet girl and everyone's a huge fan of her." Lola sounded excited. Everyone has been excited since she arrived, the media has been on uproar ever since her return.
The only person that didn't know who she was was Anna.
"So why don't I know her?" Anna asked.
"In the two years you were away Anna, Imelda blew up massively, but she suddenly varnished, never to be seen again. We're just all so happy she's back to give us quality music and time." Lola said.
"Do you know she had also won so many awards in just a short time. Imelda is three in one. There's nothing she isn't good at." Lola kept praising her.
"Before I forget, Imelda just sent a mail about being a part of Eclipse." Anna frowned. "Isn't that exciting?" Lola asked.
"I might get to manage two of the best models in the world. One has the current diamond status and the other is a beast when it comes to modelling. Anna we would need all of the best models there is when it comes to Eclipse, it's the only way we can keep the company alive." Lola said.
"Are you trying to market Imelda?"
"You caught me." Lola chuckled.
"We'll let the boards decide that." Anna hung up before her assistant could speak further. She was not in the mood to listen to more things about her husband's ex.
She tossed her cell phone aside. Maybe she was over thinking. Maybe Imelda is not a bad person, but why did she just decide to work in Eclipse?
Why did she just decide to come back?
Maybe because it's the number one entertainment company right now. Anna sighed as she questioned herself and answered it immediately. Maybe she's really overthinking everything.
But why would Imelda suddenly want to be a model when Music pays higher?
Anna was still buried in her thoughts when her cell phone rang again. She checked the caller and it was Evelyn. She smiled. "Mother."
"Anna dear, how are you?" Evelyn asked.
"I'm fine mother."
"And my babies?"
"They're fine each. How about you?"
"Oh I'm very well." Evelyn said. "We have a little family dinner to celebrate the twins tonight, I've invited a few guests. You have nothing to fear, it's a secret party where only a few people are allowed to attend. Make sure you come along with your husband." Evelyn said.
"Alright mother, we'll be there." Anna didn't want to go at first, infact, for today, she didn't want to leave the mansion, until a thought came to mind.
If Imelda is Noah's ex, it means his family would know about her too. She smiled. This means she would get the answer she was looking for.
Anna hurried back into her bedroom to find a suitable attire for the dinner tonight. She didn't want to go shopping for a normal dinner, besides she had so many designer clothes she was yet to wear.
When she found the right outfit, she texted Noah about the dinner his mother invited them for.
'I'll pick you up in the evening.
I love you.'
She smiled at the text and turned off her cell phone.
During the time of evening, Anna prepared herself for the party. She was a little excited and at the same time nervous about the party. She has no idea what she would find out, but she hopes it wouldn't be something drastic. Even if it is, Noah is her husband. They were already married and we're having children together.
She had nothing to worry about right?
Anna didn't like that one womans return has ruined the trust she had for Noah. Having being cheated on, she felt so insecure about this woman.
At exactly 8:pm, Noah's car arrived at the entrance of the mansion and he stepped out.
"Welcome back sir." He ignored his butler as always tossing his bag to the man as he walked in. A smile was on his lips as he saw his wife all dressed up for the dinner with his family. She looked so beautiful in the white dress she wore, it hugged her frame slightly.
"Welcome back." Anna looked like an angel. The light in his dark world. He hugged her closely, closing his eyes as he inhaled her scent.
"You look so beautiful." He lifted her chin and pressed his lips on hers.
"You'd ruin my makeup hubby." She frowned slightly. "What if I do?" He kissed her again, this time deepening his kiss, stealing her breath away.
"Then you'll have to fix it." She said hoarsely trying to catch her breath.
"I will." He admitted. "Let me go freshen up, then we can leave for the dinner." Anna nodded and watched him go up the stairs. After a while Noah was back in a black suit. His hair was combed to the back and he looked even more handsome than ever.
Anna smiled when she saw him. She felt like the luckiest woman in the world to have married this man. And Noah felt like the luckiest man in the world to have married the most beautiful woman in the world.
"Shall we?" She gave him her hand and they both stepped out of the mansion.
