Nari felt proud again when she heard the pitiful words from people around her. It was now evening and she was back to parading Mack around and acting like they were two lovely humans in love as everyone gave them little attention and praised them.

Most guest have started to leave, leaving them with a few that came to gossip and not sympathize with them.

"Oh they're so in love",

"Love is really a beautiful thing."

Though the A list stars didn't talk or associate with her like she wanted, she was grateful she was now the center of attention.

"I am so sorry for your loss mother. I don't have much, but here is my gift for you as your son in law." Mack handed a card to Kate whose eyes went wide. In his hands is a check of 10 million, the money both he and Nari had stolen from the Sui's while they got married.

The local models who haven't seen such amount of money in the life were all gagging at the sight of such amount.

"This is so very thoughtful of you Mack. This is why it is good to have a responsible daughter and not one that can't close their legs." The elderly woman from before, Erica Badu said while staring at Anna. She had been watching the Sui's heiress and the strange man that was seating like a hawke behind her and wasn't pleased about it.

Though he was so handsome and impossible to not look at, to her beauty was nothing when compared to status. Anna's wayward ways and lifestyle with wealthy men isn't something new to them as they all accused her of having affairs with married men rather than settling down like Nari.

Martha who was aware of the powerful figure behind Anna only adjusted in her seat, as well as everyone who knew who it was. His presence has been intimidating, it's the reason they haven't said a word to the young girl and have all kept their thoughts to themselves.

Almost everyone seated in the room have been a victim to the wrath of Noah Declan. They have all tested his power. Including Kate who has no idea her predicament is as a result of the man seated before her. He would strike soon, he would hit her when she least expects and put her in her place soon. It's only a matter of time.

Martha and Douglas stole few glances at the man, this man was Noah Declan, he isn't just anyone. A man that could buy them and their families without lifting his fingers. If only Erica Badu was aware, she wouldn't speak before him.

"Don't be like that aunty, Anna is responsible too." Nari said politely. She knew she had a bigger advantage because Noah and Anna have decided to make their relationship private. Now more than ever she loved the idea.

"But I am not wrong. Even if Mack had been through a whole lot lately, he has showered your mother with millions, unlike some people. As ladies, we should be very curative with the man we roll with. We need partners, true partners that care. Well-done Mack." She continued to poke her nose in Anna's business even if it was clear the girl was ignoring her.

Anna was too heart broken to feel anything. She was still in so much shock. She couldn't believe her family were gone just like that. She would never be able to hear or speak to her aunt Grace ever again. She would never be able to see her grandfather again. They have both been burned to dust.

Riches and wealth didn't matter at the moment. She wasn't here to impress or please anyone.

"Do you have another son in law Kate?" Another woman asked due to the rumors they heard, and for the first time since he arrived, Kate glanced at Noah who's grey eyes were already on her.

"No, Nari's the only married one." She said quickly and avoided his gaze. She didn't know why Noah's eyes suddenly gave her chills. He was cold, so cold she had goosebumps all over. It's like a child being silently scolded by their parents.

At exactly 4pm, the Declan's decided, it was time to arrived at the mansion.

The people around were shocked to see series of black cars arrive as men in black suit chase away the reporters and paparazzi Kate and Nari had hired. The Declan's are a family known to have their publicist and reporters to avoid miscommunication, so it was normal they chased them all away.

Torn between seen in public places with Anna yet, Evelyn and her family couldn't abandon Anna at a time like this. Anna lost her family members, the ones that actually care about her existence. They didn't care if the press would be there or if people would misunderstand their visit, Anna needed them.

Noah had warned them not to come and that his wife would understand, but even they know what Anna needed now more than ever was a family. She needs to know she was loved by them. And Vincent had stubbornly initiated the whole idea because he didn't want to lose his healthy great grand twins. They're the only source of joy in their family right now.

The only thing every member of their family look up to.

When Noah saw the dramatic car entrance, he rolled his eyes, so did Paul who had been with his boss since morning. They could already tell who was behind all of these. "That old dramatic man." Noah muttered. There was no point for the too much dramatic entrance.

He didn't know if this was a wealth contest or a mourning ground anymore.

Evelyn stepped out of the car, pride and confidence oozing from her. Dressed in a simple yet elegant attire, she ignored the curious gazes from the people around as her eyes moved around the mansion. The last time she was here hadn't been good, and now she was back to mourn with her daughter in law.

"Who are they?" One of the lowly models Nari had hired asked another person.

"That is Evelyn Declan, the richest woman in all of Summerlane. I heard she's related to Anna Sui because of Noah Declan." Nari frowned at the information.

"Noah Declan?" Another model asked.

"Yes, Anna is the face of Eclipse entertainment. She had direct contact to the richest man in all of Summerlane." The girl said proudly like she knew a lot.

"Wow, she's so powerful. Nari, you must have his contact too right, you're Anna's sister." Another girl said.

"Please, Nari has nothing. She hired us remember. She's the low level adopted daughter and Anna is the right heiress to the Sui's empire." Nari clenched her hands at their words.

"I think you've over stayed your welcome, it's time to leave."

The women that had blabbed about riches before all stared at Evelyn and her family walk in with wide eyes.

"Oh Kate, you never said you were related to the Declan's too." The elderly woman said.

"Mack had business with the Declan's in the past, I'm sure they're here to see him and mourn with the family." Mack scratched the back of his head at the woman's words.
