Anna couldn't believe it, the news was devastating for her. Her aunt Grace and her grandfather cannot die, Noah promised he would find them. He he said Kate had them and she was keeping them hostage, was all those things misinformation?
Anna now standing next to Noah cried her eyes out. Noah hadn't thought this process through, though he had asked the doctor if his children will be fine after the news and the man assured they would be fine since her pregnancy wasn't risky, his wife looked like she could die any moment now.
Anna had been one of the most hopeful people, she had been the one praying for her aunt to come back everyday. Now she thinks lost them both. Grace was yet to recover and Noah didn't know whether to tell his dying wife the truth or just keep playing the game he was playing. The life of his children were at stake here.
He stared at the woman with swollen eyes by his side. Noah couldn't stand to see her suffer so much, she is his everything. He would rather die than see his precious little lover cry this much. He had no idea the news of their death would disturb his wife this way, else, he would have held every operation until he had at least cleared the air.
"That's okay, they're both in a better place now." A woman in her mid forties spoke to Kate. Their old mansion was now filled with visitors from far and wide. Everyone spoke to everyone as they consoled both Anna and her remaining Aunt.
Kate cried like everyone else, she even cried better than Anna. It was like the world had just come to an end. She looked devastated, Nari who was seated beside her mother cried a little. At the end of the day, she's the adopted one, so no one cared if she was being dramatic or not. She knew if she cried too much, it would be suspicious. Yes she may have had good relationship with the family, but it hasn't been long since she became a part of them.
She had also lost her family recently thanks to Anna. Nari watched the girl with disdain, she still couldn't believe Anna was pregnant and was hellbent on exposing her. She would find the time to expose Anna once and for all.
"What really happened to them, the last time I was here, Grace and your father were both strong?" The woman asked. She had seen them that day, everyone thought it was a joke when Grace got missing.
They thought she would be found within days of search and that the kidnappers only wanted money but seeing how bad she was brutally killed, they were scared for themselves now. Everyone in the city wanted to learn from the Sui's, the wealthiest people were now seen doubling their protection and guard.
The news of Grace and the generals death was an eyes opener. It was a devastating and scary at the same time.
Who could be heartless to do something like this to a reputable family?
Not only was their real life in shambles, but the internet was also in shambles. Two of theoat notorious women online have lost their family members in the most devastating way.
"She took father on vacation to another country, and that's the last we all heard of them. They never returned, the next time I heard anything, it had been the kidnappers." Kate explained admist her cry. Even if she was mourning, she knew she needed to tell her side of the story to avoid rumors.
She picked her cell phone and played the first recording for the people around to hear. It was the recording she had planned with whoever she did with to decieve people. Noah rolled his eyes a little at the dramatic event, he could only think of how stupid he would make her look when Grace actually arrives.
The only problem he had at the moment was contemplating on whether to tell his wife or not. He didn't know how she would react by the time he told her.
There were two empty glass vases by the table, the vases Kate claim contained the remains of the general and Grace. Noah couldn't imagine how heartless one was willing to go because of greed. The elderly woman was clearly lying through her teeth and very boldly.
The press where everywhere ready to take pictures of the family. Even if Anna had her shades on, it was obvious she had been crying.
"Why would Grace do a thing like that?" The elderly woman asked.
"Did she not go with bodyguards?"
"This is no time to blame anyone for what had happened. We just lost two of the most important people in our lives." Nari defended Grace like every good child would.
"Aunt Grace was the best aunt anyone could ask for. No one knew a thing like this would happen." She added.
"Your daughter is the best thing that has happened to you Kate. Such a wonderful child." The elderly woman praised Nari. She was impressed at how the girl had defended Grace.
"I'm sorry if my words offend you in any way dear, I didn't mean to accuse your Aunt."
