"Doctor what is this I'm hearing?" Kate went straight to the point. There was no need sugar coating anything. She knows what she wants now and she wouldn't take any chances.
"We're so sorry for your loss Mrs Sui. That is why I warned you before to take them away or pay for a better place. Grace was a good woman, but she had killed our nurse." The doctor tried to explain politely.
"What are you talking about doctor?" Nari asked this time.
"Uh... Miss Nari, we're so sorry, we tried our best but Grace and your grandfather..." The doctor paused taking a long sigh. He acted like his mouth felt so heavy to move at the moment. Like the words were just too heavy to come out. Kate frowned at this.
"What are you talking about? Where are my family?" Kate was turning impatient. She didn't come here to talk too much, she just came to confirm whatever it was Nari had told her about. Was her father and sister missing?
Are they okay?
"Please come to my office ma'am, we cannot talk out here like this." The doctor said politely. It's because he had lost Grace and the general unknowingly and right now they were under threat to not revealing anything to Kate. He had no idea who had told her about her family being missing in the first place.
When they arrived in the doctor's office, Kate and Nari found their way to their seats. The news from last night had been devastating, all Kate had come to know was if her family was okay even if she knew it was impossible. From what Nari told her, whoever called said they had been missing for days now.
Both women stared at the doctor seated before them, the last time they had been here this man had not been polite at all to them, how well the tables indeed do turn. According to Mack, it's a good thing her family are dead, at least she could focus more on eliminating Anna. Getting that girl and dealing with her wouldn't be a problem at all.
"We have been trying to reach you two for days now." The doctor started. Whoever had Grace and the General was really powerful, he had no idea what game was going on in their family, but he would do anything to protect his business. That is all that matters to him anyways.
"We have been too busy lately to notice any news of such. But last night we got a call from the asylum about my family." Kate started. The agreement they had was clear, if anything happens to your family while they're here, you cannot blame the asylum for it. Every individual brought in here was know for one thing, to die or get mad.
This place was already like a mini cemetery.
"I'm so sorry Mrs Sui, but your family couldn't make it through another day. At first we all thought Grace had escaped, until we saw her body lying next to the general." The doctor voiced out. He didn't know how to say it before, but now he's found the courage to finally tell them. He couldn't tell them they had just disappeared from the mental Asylum, that would cause a huge blow on them.
It will make them look so unprofessional and unethical. He didn't want to be caught up in any of that. One thing he would never play with is his hospital, no matter what. Rather than getting into trouble with the wealthy people, the doctor had come up with a plan, and that's lie to the woman here.
It's not like Grace and the general can live on their own past a day. They were both in the worst condition when they left.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Nari asked again.
"We found Grace and the General's body this morning brutally murdered by someone." He paused.
"It seems they had gotten into trouble with a madder person. We would love for you to see their body and confirm for yourself that it is indeed your ward so that we can know the next step to take." The doctors words was very clear for them.
"But how could such happen to them?" Nari asked acting like she cared in the first place. Their calm reaction didn't surprise the man, infact he had expected such reaction from both people. Bringing their family members here meant they didn't care in the first place.
They were warned during the contract in here that things like this were bound to happen. Nari wished now that is was her family who had been brutally killed and not Grace. Anna would have never found them if they were killed.
Grace and Nari left the doctors office to the commentary where the bodies were being laid. Since it's been more than a day, the bodies were already stinking and rotting to an unrecognizable state. The asylum had prepared an identical body similar to both Grace and the general to decieve Kate and so far, their plans seems to be working perfectly because both women couldn't even stand the stench from the bodies.
"I don't think we need these bodies." Kate said immediately as she spat. Nari who stared at the decayed bodied almost puked at the sight of them.
"What do you suggest we do with them miss Sui?" The doctor asked.
"We need to cremate them and send their bodies to us. All expenses will be paid for." Kate said almost immediately. She couldn't afford to let anyone know about this, it was time to tell the world Grace and the General were dead and get over with this nonsense.
"We'll do as asked ma'am." The doctor agreed immediately.
While Kate finalized everything with the doctor, Nari took the oppurtunity to meet the person she had placed in charge of her family. Though she knew deep down Anna's words weren't just mere words, she wanted to confirm it herself.
She still couldn't believe Anna had found out about her family.
"How could you let someone take my mother away from here? You were supposed to inform me, that's what I'ma paying for." Nari dragged the girl to the side when she found her. She had paid her huge sums of money to guide her family because she didn't want anyone finding out about it. Yet somehow, her family are now missing from the place.
"Miss Nari let's be honest, you don't even care about your family anymore. You stop visiting them for years now and stop sending money for their upkeep." The girls stated the obvious truth.
"That's because they deserve it." Nari defended herself. She had left them here to die, who knew those people would get help soon. Only heaven knows where Anna has kept them. She couldn't even begin to wonder what mansion and what condition they were into. She would never be able to find them ever again.
Kate watched the whole cremation process of both Grace and her father. Normally, family members are not supposed to be there, but she wanted to be there herself. She wanted to see for herself that her father and sister no longer exist so that she can be sure no one would use this against her.
She called her publicist on what news and articles they could release to the press to announce the demise of the general and Grace Sui. She was more than prepared to be done with this once and for all.
After the whole cremation process, both ashes were placed in different vase and were both handed to Kate. She paid for them both before leaving the mental asylum.
"Stop by the river bank, I need to dispose of this two." Kate informed the driver immediately. Nari who was seated next to her smiled. "You couldn't even honour them for the last time mother." She asked.
"They don't deserve such honour. Besides we need to come up with a plan, there's going to be so much mourning going on by morning. I ready asked the publicists to publish an article about it." Kate said. Nari could only imagine what was going through her head at the moment. She's never seen Kate this quiet before.
The car arrived by the bank, and Kate was out of the car in no time. She walked towards the river bank with Nari by her side, in her hands were the vases of the bodies she thought to belong to her father and Grace. Kate didn't hesitate to pour both ashes into the flowing river.
As she watched the dust flow with the wind, she let out a sigh. There was no evidence pointing to her killing her family anymore. She was completely a free woman.
"Did you do the job." A male voice from the end of a call rang.
"Yes boss, they both fell for it. They've disposed of the bodies." Came Paul's words.
"Okay." Noah responded.
