Who knew the first thing she would experience would be an attack on their side?
Roseline saying they aren't meant to be here was insulting for her and she didn't like that one but. Just because she made a little mistake that had altered their way of living doesn't mean she belonged to the street. Especially since she's related to a family like the Declan's. Kate has decided to use whatever she has to climb back up again, and she wouldn't let silly words from gullible women like Roseline get to her tonight.
Kate smiled. There's no way things like this should be happening to her. She had everything planned out tonight, these people cannot turn against her now. Besides she was more than willing to forgive them for the betrayal just to teach her stealing neice a lesson.
"Rose, it's been so long how are you doing?" Kate greeted the woman who stared at her like the most disgusting thing in the world. She acted like she didn't hear Roseline's first words. For her plans to go accurate tonight, she needed patience more than ever.
"Don't touch me with those filthy hands. We're no longer on the same level, you shouldn't address me with that friendly title." Rose made her point so clear that even a lame man could tell what she meant. She was fed up with seeing these people around. Why can't their lives go back to before the Declan's have anything to do with the Sui's.
"I don't know where this attitude is coming from Rose. I have done nothing wrong except walk in here, yet here you are attacking me for no reason."
"Before you lost everything you think you had. The boldness to even attend such event as this one. People like you should be put in your place once and for all before you contaminate the rest of us." People had already started to gather around because of the commotion Roseline was causing. She has decided to create a scene and humiliate the Sui's, and nothing is stopping her.
Nari panicked a little. This is not how she had imagined her night. She had just walked through the carpet in this beautiful purple dress Anna sent for her and was already the talk of the town. The internet had welcomed her warmly even if a few people still said a few bad things about her or mocked her.
She had accepted it to be Anna's fault and was already plotting of ways to get back at Anna. Who knew they would face something even more heart wretching before they step in?
"Aunt Roseline what's wrong. You're harassing my mother and I before all of these people tonight. I don't think that's how your kind of wealthy people behave." Nari spoke out for her mother like the good daughter she is. She would do anything to build her image back again.
"Is everything okay Roseline." Evelyn who had overheard the commotion from where she was walked up to the scene. Even if they aren't in good terms with the Sui's, they were still somehow related to them through Anna and she didn't like the commotion Rose was already creating.
The party has barely started and the guest were just walking in, yet, Rose has decided to turn her daughters birthday into a bazaar spot.
"I know you're a good person Kate and because your son is somehow related to the Sui's daughter you decided to extend your generosity to them. But I don't think everyone deserves such treatment. Some people are just too poor and they're making us seem less important to be here." Rose said loud and clear for everyone to hear.
"This has gone too far. We did not come here to be humiliated like this Evelyn." Kate said suddenly playing the victim. "And who says we're poor now, how dare you lay such accusations on us."
Rose laughed so loud. "The whole city knows about you little tragic incident with the royal family Kate. Where is your mansion, you even called me for help that night don't you remember?" Rose asked.
Everyone has heard of the downfall of the Sui's. Especially people in their level of riches. While others didn't care at all of the next family who cannot handle wealth and decide to go bankrupt, others really did care about who they speak to and mingle with.
"Why are you doing this Roseline, we have done nothing to you?" Kate asked. In all her life, she never thought she would be humiliated like this. She's the one to always inflict pain and humiliation on others not the other way around.
"Doing what exactly Kate. It's clear you're not needed here." Roseline said. Chalamet who had already started to get embarrassed himself tried to stop his mother from attacking them, but she wouldn't listen. She was doing too much now and the people are beginning to pity the Sui's.
"You have no right whatsoever so uninvite or disturb an invited guest." Kate stood her ground. She was a hot headed woman too, she would never let a mere cat like Rose destroy her evening. She was here on a mission, and that she must accomplish.
"We're here to celebrate our dear Beth's birthday stop making the evening about you Roseline. I know you have a main character syndrome but tonight is not about you or I."
"How dare you Kate..."
"That's enough aunt Rose. You've done more than enough, don't ruin my party for me." Beth was the one to come out this time. She didn't appreciate her aunt fighting the Sui's over little matters. It doesn't matter what status they hold now, this is her first ever extravagant party since she turned 18 and she wouldn't let anyone ruin it.
