Everyone was fed up by the rumors moving around already about the Declan's. She wanted their family to be back to being the normal private family that can never get involved in celebrity scandal and society gossips. Right now, the scandal was the least of her problems. She was more worried about the gossips going on around about Beth, Noah and Anna.
Somehow it is said that Anna Sui is dating Noah Declan and bringing confusion in their household. Evelyn wanted to stop such rumors, that is why she had been very specific with the invites of tonight.
The most important thing is that things are now working so well for them. Anna was pregnant which means her first grand children were on the way. She wanted to celebrate that so badly, but she couldn't. Noah and his wife love their privacy so much, yet Anna is somehow one of the most popular celebrities in the country.
Living double lifestyle, is the only way she could describe her daughter in law at the moment. And it was quite entertaining.
"Evelyn Declan, what a lovely home you have." A woman approached her. It was none other than Roseline, she's one of the gossip mongers Evelyn had invited to the event. Roseline had spread more rumors about her family more than anyone, that is why Evelyn had given her the first hand invitation. But not Janjan or the Shens. The Declan's will never just accept the Shens into their circle even if they've quietly resolved
their issues.
"Rose dear, you've arrived?" Evelyn smiled politely. Roseline scanned the women before her for any news or sign of being broke. That is the new news about the Declan's. They said they've also had a great loss involving themselves with Anna Sui. Rose wanted to scream, 'i told you so,' but she would let things play out greatly tonight.
She wasn't here to celebrate Beth or anyone, she was here to mock the Declan's for what they did to her family. For the humiliation they caused them. The Declan's have been the biggest family in summerlane for years now, their downfall is long overdue. There's no way they could be in charge forever.
"Good evening aunty." Chalamet greeted the woman after his mother. He didn't want to come but his mother had insisted he did. She wanted to mock Anna, as well as the Sui's tonight. Everybody knows they were now nobodies in the society, but what the people didn't know was that Evelyn Bancroft indeed have a daughter in law that is almost as useless as a toddler in the family. Roseline was hellbent on exposing Anna because she felt like Anna owes the Shens more than just an apology for the damages she caused them.
She caused them great pain and embarrassment in the rich circle and society when Noah came after them. Just apologizing does nothing for her. It will never change the way people see her or perceive her anymore.
An eyes for an eye, an embarrassment for an embarrassment and the problem both the Sui's and Declan's were facing with the royal family was just the beginning.
If only she knew that the whole royal family issue is just Noah's little devious way of punishing Kate Sui without his wife finding out about it.
Everyone who thinks the Declan family were in a rough time now, have indeed recruited against them. Their target, Noah Declan. The one man who had troubled every single family in the city. They haven't come here to celebrate with Evelyn or her family, they have come here to mock them.
When Roseline arrived, due to the rumor, she had expected to see something else. But the decorations and everything going on beats her imagination. It changed everything she came to do. She wondered why?

These gatherings is meant to be like a charity organization where they try to extract money from other rich people and will be exposed.
Evelyn was still wearing the usual rare diamonds that was adorned her neck and body. Her dress was heavenly, screaming the highest quality of material.
This is not the said broke Declan family. They even look wealthier than they have ever been.
"Thank you for coming tonight your two. You're most welcome to our home." Evelyn said politely. She patted Chalamet's shoulder as she walked away to greet her other guests.
"This is far from being broke." Chalamet said to his mother as he peeked around.
"I think they're still trying to mask everything happening to them. I've confirmed and it's true that they're broke Chalamet. Tonight we get our revenge for everything that stupid boy did to you and your wife." Roseline said. Janjan would have been in the best condition of Anna hadn't intervened from no where. She deserves the worst and worst in life.
As if the night couldn't get any worse, Rose saw Kate and her daughter Nari walk through the door, both women in the best form anyone could imagine. Never in her life did she think she would loath Kate so much for being just Anna's aunt, but she did now. She hated the woman.
Even if Kate had been a helping hands to them when they had nothing, she still hated the woman. Showing off those few millions really did nothing to them.
"And what are they doing here?" Rose murmured and took a step close to them.
She would make them feel inferior tonight and give Anna and her family the humiliation they deserve. "Considering your current zero status, people like you should never be in the same gathering as me." Rose blocked both women's part with her words.
