Chapter 401 WHO'S THE CELEBRITY

1636words
"What if he's her father, or uncle, we don't even know who that is." Meredith tried to defend the famous person she's aspired to be like all her life. She wasn't the type of person that judged people by what they do or what they looked like.

To her, it was unfair to point accusing fingers on people. Especially after everything she's been through in the past. Meredith had been through an almost life and death situation because she was accused of the wrong things, that is one of the reasons she stopped judging people.

"Nonsense Meredith. No man would hold his daughter with so much affection as that. That's something more than just a daughter." Faith gestured her head towards them.

"Just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean it's not possible. All I see is a fatherly love for his daughter. Not the other way around." Meredith said.

"That's enough ladies, they might hear you. Meredith please pass the tray of meat to them, I've told Barnes we need more workers. Hurry." Mary who had just finished dishing out the beef soup said to Meredith. She had no idea why they kept arguing about what other people do with their lives. Meredith smiled at the offer, it would be the closet she could get to a celebrity or famous person and she couldn't miss that.

This was her chance to shine.

She quickly picked the tray of beef soup and hurried to where Anna and Vincent were seated. Beside them were two guards standing on guard ready to annihilate anyone that comes close.

"I heard the press was present at the asylum today?" Mary changed the conversation quickly. If Faith and Meredith aren't close acquaintances to her, she would have never let them in here, not tonight. The privacy of her customers seems more important at the moment, although they needed helping hands. Since it was known that a celebrity had arrived yesterday, it had drawn the eyes of the few paparazzi and important guest lurking around and visiting their little shop.

"Yes. They were three people. Two women and an old man. Now I think of it, this old man looks like the man that had been present at the event today." Faith said staring at Vincent who laughed a little bit louder at his granddaughter in law's joke.

He didn't want to eat anything before, but Anna's enthusiasm made him taste the food, and it beat his imaginations. It tasted really good that he couldn't resist either. One thing Anna was good at was food, she would never eat anything that isn't worth it.

Meredith beamed as she approached them, she couldn't believe she was really standing close to a famous person now. Anna who ate her beef smiled at the tray of more food being delivered to her table. Meredith didn't know whether to introduce herself or not, but the stern look from the guards there, made her compose herself immediately.

She couldn't embarrass herself, not tonight.

"We should hurry my pretty girl, Evelyn and Beth will be mad at us if we're a minute late." Vincent reminded his daughter in law and she nodded. Meredith tried to peek through the protective mask the woman beside the old man had used on her face but she couldn't.

She looked like someone no one has ever seen before. A known yet an unknown celebrity. But why would someone go to far as to hide their identity?

"Alright, you've served, it's time to leave." One of the guards said moving her aside and she did as asked.

Lola who stayed in the car, replied Noah's text of wanting to know where they were at the moment. Since his grandfather has decided to ghost him completely, he also decided to take matters into his hands. He couldn't let his wife out of his sight even for a minute. He would never let the same mistake happen twice again, even if this time Anna was in the best condition yet.

There is nothing risky about her pregnancy, not that the doctor had found. His children were safe, but he still couldn't relax about it. He has sworn to deal with that short old man by the time he finds him for keeping his wife out this long. Anna should be resting, not stressing.

Noah stepped into his car and found his way down to the outskirt of the city. He would also have to deal with that little woman eater for stressing him today. His day hasn't been at all productive, especially with his grandfather trying to hide things from him.

Just what the hell are those two up to?

He has learnt to never let the two of them be together ever again.

"How did serving time go?" Faith asked her friend as she packed her bag ready to leave. They have stayed for quite a while and it was time to leave.

"She's beautiful, though I still cannot recognize her face no matter how hard I try." Meredith confessed. It takes one famous person for her to find Anna Sui. She has tried sending messages to Anna's team about Grace but there have been no response so far. She wouldn't blame them, they could see her as a scammer or one of the many fans obsessed with Anna.

Meredith also gave up when the Sui's brought up a general statement, cancelling everything they know and saying all the rumors about them are all lies and fake. She wanted to help Grace, she really wants to, but there's only so much a little body like herself can do.

It was obvious a member of their family had brought Grace in the metal hospital. The same person might be responsible of releasing such information. If only she could get to Anna in some way to confirm everything. Deep down, Meredith believed Grace's words to be true.

Even if Grace has suddenly gone mute, she still believed the woman.

"Now I think about it, isn't it a little suspicious that it isn't on any news?" Mary asked. She has been feeding into Faiths words and was already falling for the conspiracies again.

"They even asked for specific people's names before everyone else." Faith added. "Sounds a little suspicious." She added

"Hmm, whatever it is is none of our business like you said. For me, I think it's best people discover that asylum and expose whatever wickedness happens in there." Meredith chimed in. She has seen broad day light wickedness from the nurses on the patients. That place was no longer a mental hospital, it's a slave establishment for the rich and wealthy.

As they spoke, they realized more black cars were parked at the entrance of the little shop and a huge man in black suit stepped out of it. Noah didn't bother searching for anyone as he barged into the restaurant almost immediately.

His grey eyes scanned through the whole place till they fell on the sweet little angel at a corner eating and feeding the old man beside her. Anna and the elder laughed and talked about something Noah felt like was the most annoying things at the moment.

Her intentions wasn't to come here and get lost at all, her Intentions were to buy as much potatoes, enough to share for the family tomorrow to at least have them taste the goodness she's had these days. Who knew she would get so lost and forget the important party about to start anytime soon?

Noah didn't walk directly to his wife. He walked over to the counter where Mary sat. She had recognized his face because he was the same man that had come here yesterday with the young faceless woman now seated with an old man. Noah's action made Mary wonder if everything Faith had said until now true?

Was this young lady really cheating on such a man like this? Had he caught her in the act? If so, who is she?

She should have known, women like this are not to be trusted. And to think this man brought her here yesterday only to see her with another man today. And a much older man. Mary frowned at the girl.

She couldn't tell if she was playing hard to get, but this isn't worth it.

"I want lot's of potatoes and beef delivered to this address everyday by this time, can that be possible?" Noah went straight to the point and Mary who had been so lost in her thought quickly nodded.

Meredith and Faith were both mesmerized by how handsome the man looked that they couldn't move or utter a word. He would have been here with Paul instead, but that rascal had some errands to run. There was serious preparation going on for Beth's grand brithday and here his grandfather and wife was, eating and being fed.

Noah handed his card over to Mary before leaving. He walked up to where his wife and the old rascal were now seated. Vincent who hadn't noticed his grandson's dramatic entrance until now sudden frowned.

"You had one job to do today."

"Please, don't spoil the mood." Vincent waved his grandson off. He decides to spend just one funny day with his daughter in law and here comes the devil.

"We're leaving." Noah was speaking more to his wife than his grandfather. Anna understood the situation and started walking away with her hubby. She smiled as they walked, thinking of the stress she must have put Noah through today.

"You have a lot of explaining to do when we get back." Noah said.

"Yes Sugar." Anna didn't argue much, she was well fed to even say a thing. For tonight, she would be an obedient wife for tempting her hubby too far.
