Chapter 399 GET THE HAIR SAMPLE 1

Revenge has never looked so good in her eyes before. If only she could just strangle him with her bare hands and end all of these. He's the cause of their pain, if he hadn't killed her brother then their lives wouldn't have been this chaotic.
She hated her neice as much as she hated this people. They ruined their lives. Even if it was partly her father's fault the way everything happened, it was also his fault too. Vincent had been so heartless back then, he was a monster and he showed them no mercy.
"Oh it's nothing child. I just wished your father wasn't so harsh on me back then. I tried to settle scores with him, I tried to reason things with him. If he didn't kill my wife then, then we wouldn't all be here now would we?" Vincent smiled. Just speaking to him for a little bit, Kate could see Noah written over him. That boy took after his grandfather so well. Cunning and evil, yet so pretentious and calm.
"She must have been a good person. Father spoke about her all the time." Kate said as she placed the tray of tea Nari had made on the table.
"I don't think I taught you how to just stand and not serve your elders Anna." She scolded her neice. Vincent wanted to say something but Anna stopped him. The last person she would want to know about her pregnancy was her aunt and neice. The Declan's family knowing about it was enough for her.
Besides she had other things she came here for. Serving tea was the least of her trouble, but getting Nari's hair samples was her major reason for the visit. She needed to get her hands on her hair immediately.
"The last time I saw you and your sister, you two were very little." Vincent said. He had arrived that night looking for his stubborn wife and he met both girls. It's the first and last time he ever saw them again. Even back then, Vincent never liked Kate.
Still in her thoughts, Anna quickly recalled something. If there's something she knew Nari for was that she loved to brush her hair. Surely, there must be a way to get her hair brush. If Nari had brushed her hair this morning which looks like she has, then she would have to find the brush.
Anna poured the tea into one of the tea cups hurriedly for Vincent while Nari took a seat next to her mother. The tension in the room grew more tense by the minute as both people conversed with hate and pride.
"Excuse me, I need to use the restroom." Anna excused herself and went ahead to find Nari's room once she was done. She tried not to look suspicious.
"The mansion is big Anna, it would be wise if Nari take you to the restroom." Kate suggested. She would never trust a thief around her mansion anymore. Once beaten, twice shy.
"You don't have to worry aunt Kate, this is not my first time here, I'll find my way around." Anna waved her off and walked in.
Surely, finding Nari's room wouldn't be that hard, especially since there weren't any maids around.
"You know my wife so well, she used to visit your father a lot back in the days. You and your sister were always fund of bullying and talking down on her. I'm sure you remember." Vincent said. It was because his wife complained most of the times. Even times when he tried to fight the general from harassing her, she would stop him because she felt guilty for not marrying him.
She loved both friends equally, but she had fallen in love with Vincent specially. Everyday he regrets why he had let some things happen, he should have never let her close to Gabriel or his family.
While Kate and the general exchanged their little details of the past, Anna took the oppurtunity to visit the bathroom. She needed to get Nari's hair samples to be sure she knew what she was dealing with. If everything goes as planned then she would be able to get Nari out of her family once and for all.
Anna walked into the bathroom quickly, and as easy as it seems, she found Nari's hair brush by the counter. This is it. This is her moment of truth. This is where it all ends. Without wasting anymore time, she wore her gloves and picked a few pieces of hair from the brush and placed it inside the little plastic bag in her hands. The hair she had gotten was more than enough for the DNA samples.
If everything turns out positive, then she could continue with her plans.
Anna stepped out of the bathroom like nothing had happened once she was done. She never thought this would be so easy. Getting revenge on Nari looked so easy.
"Of course. We didn't think she and my father were friends, we saw her as one of the many women father brought back home, so we fought with her over nothing." Kate laughed insulting the dead woman stylishly. She just didn't know how to hide her hateful speech, but she would always cover it up with sweet laughs. The elder really knows how to stall people with long conversations, Anna thought to herself as she walked back in quietly.
Lola gave her a look, and she responded with eye gesture. Their gesture didn't go unnoticed by Nari who was distracted by a text on her phone.
"We regret doing that now though. It really wasn't that deep." Kate added staring suspiciously at her neice "You haven't touched your tea Mr Vincent?" She asked the elder.
"I've had more than enough to drink for the day." Vincent rose from where he sat. He has overstayed his welcome already, it was time he left with his daughter in law.
"I hope you would be in attendance tonight. It would really mark a new beggining for us all, and let us hope that your father is found and quickly." Vincent said.
"Oh I wouldn't miss that for the world." Kate rose from where she sat. She already had her plans for tonight, and nothing was going to ruin it. Anna must release Mack Yong from wherever the hell she had kept him.
Anna who had succeeded in her little task of the day, followed her grandfather in law out of the mansion as she bid her Aunt goodbye.
