She didn't want to be seen by the press yet, not like this, not after the disgraceful scandal from last week. She wants her debut to be grand and the only way it can after the whole scandal is attending one of the most prestige party of the year. Being invited to the Declan's party was already enough to stamp her place and return her pride.
It would solidify the news and rumors about them being broke, fake, and make people question their money status rather than just believing anything they see.
They could manipulate the public into thinking that the Declan's will never invite them or associate with them if they ever are broke. But everyone knew the reason they are still able to go out in public right now is because of Anna. The brain behind everything Nari thinks she is.
Anna isn't just going to make decisions without thinking anymore. She'll never let Nari or Kate ruin her reputation ever again. Anna knows she needed to be ten steps ahead of them this time.
"What are you talking about?" Kate asked.
"There's a famous person who wants to do charity in here today. They've invited the press and a few paparazzi around. If we don't leave now, we'll never be able to leave again without anyone seeing us." Kate frowned at this. She hasn't even seen how good or bad her sister and grandfather were doing. The doctor had talked about moving Grace down to the real mental department because she killed someone, she hasn't even resolves that issue yet.
Though her greatest wish is to see Grace suffer and beg her for mercy, she wouldn't want her sane sister live amongst mad people.
Grace life might be in danger as they speak, she could be injured or badly beaten by those mad people.
This hospital has been hidden for years, why would anyone want to make it go public now? Making it public would only expose the criminal activity that goes on in here. It means the rich will no longer be able to bring their family or loved ones in here anymore. Everyone would be scared of doing anything.
"Where have you been, you said you wanted to use the restroom?" Kate asked. Nari couldn't just appear out of nowhere and talk about leaving. They still had a few scores to settle with the doctor. He was speaking about money, maybe Kate could use that to her advantage. Whoever had come here is really heaven sent, she could make a few arrangements with the doctor and make them care for her sister, in an agreement to pay back in due time.
"I did, that's when I overheard the news about the public figure using this place for their charity work. Mother we need to leave now, the public cannot see us yet. Questions will arise especially from Anna and Noah." Nari said.
"Remember, we don't have enough money to transfer grandpa and aunt Grace to a different hospital if we blow our cover." Nari tried to convince Kate. There was indeed sense in what the girl said. Thought Kate to herself.
She couldn't possibly sell herself and ruin all of her plans. Grace was still very much sane, it would be stupid if she blow their cover now, especially since the woman can just point accusing fingers on her and everyone will believe it.
She was so glad she had used a completely different name for her parents when she brought them. No one can identify them until they know her maiden name which she doubts she has told anyone about.
"I'm not leaving until I see Grace and my grandfather, that's the reason I came in the first place." Kate stubbornly refused to leave. She was so adamant about seeing her family and Nari was slowly losing her patience.
"Then you should think of a strong excuse to give to Anna when she sees you on the news tomorrow. Everything taking place today is being broadcasted on the news, I hope you're ready to face Noah Declan's eyes when he comes for you." Nari said through gritted teeth. Kate can really be a pain in the ass most times and it was really tiresome.
"Fine, but we'll be back tomorrow for the deal at hand." Kate said as she got up. She picked her bag and started walking away. After the party tonight, she'll be back to see her sister and make more negotiations with the doctor. Her only hope is that she gets a few coins from her visit to the Declan's mansion tonight.
If everything Nari and she had planned go successful, then she had no problem at all. All they have to do is make sure their plans work. If they play their cards right, Mack will be out of wheerever Anna has placed him tonight and they can finally execute the last plan to destroy her neice for good.
Never in her life did she ever think she would be happy to be associated with the boy named Mack, but here she is. He's like a saviour now. Her last hope to prosperity.
In other for the press not to get a glimpse of them, Nari and Kate had used the back door to escape. An entrance that haven't been in use for years now, it's the only place the paparazzi will never see them or take a picture of them. Nari tried to find out who the public figure was but all she got was that it was an old man.
Why would an old man suddenly try to be generous to mad people, and what was the campaign about? As far as she knows there's no political campaigns going on anywhere, so why did they suddenly want a mental health awareness in a place like this?
