Chapter 396 CHARITY CAMPAIGN BEFORE BIRTHDAY 1

"Welcome, to our humble abode. When you arrived, I almost thought you were here to drop someone." The doctor was very particular with his statement. He has been in this business for the longest and knew how the rich operate. They usually come here with huge money and leave off a family member they don't want anymore.
Those family members gradually lose their memories or turn mad like the rest of the people in here due to the drugs they administer to them. To him, killing them off was better than locking them in a mental asylum. Keeping them here is the worst torture given to any human and that is what Kate had done to her grandfather.
Anna was sitting outside with the rest without an idea her lost aunt was in this same very building.
"We're not that heartless. There are patients like that?" Anna asked and the man scratched the back of his head. These patients are under written documents with him. He's never to disclose their names to anyone, se he'll pay the price for it.
"It's alright Doctor Rumero, we can go to your office to discuss some things together. There are patients I'm here to see myself too and I don't know if your hospital holds any patient like them." Anna went straight to the chase. She didn't have all day with her, the soonest she has all of the information she needed about Nari, the better for them.
"But madam..."
"Is the money not enough for them? Do you need a few more millions?" She asked putting the doctor in a more tight edge. It's obvious the clinic needed all the money they could get. The patient in here looked so lean and malnourished. Above all they all looked starved and mistreated.
"What exactly are you looking for miss. Please if you'd like, things like this are better off discussed within closed doors. We don't want the attention of the others on us." Rumero is a greedy doctor who would do anything for money. He wouldn't mind disclosing the identity of the other patients to Anna, as long as money is involved.
Anna, Vincent and Lola were led into the doctors office. He had expected to see the stubborn woman Kate when he arrived, but surprisingly, all he could see was a written note of her threat to him.
"Don't you dare disclose anything about my family to anyone. We still have an unfinished business to discuss." Doctor Rumero didn't take her words seriously this time. It's obvious she didn't have the money anymore to afford the kind of lifestyle she wanted for her sister and grandfather.
The news about the Sui's going bankrupt wasn't a news anymore. Everyone knew by now, so when he had seen Kate arrived earlier, he knew the rumors were true. Kate has never visited herself, she's too proud to be in the den of mad people. She's rather her money do the talking and then she gives orders from afar.
"Like we said miss..." The doctor asked trying to know the name of the person who had come to visit them today. All he could see was a woman in a black hat and sunglasses. Her face was barely unrecognizable, as she had hidden the features of her face very well.
It seems she doesn't want her identity out and she's also here for serious business. Anna adjusted the glasses on her face as she stared at the doctor.
"I want the names of the patient in here for my charity campaign. I need to pick a handful of patient you think need my help." Anna said calmly.
"But, I'm also here for certain people. From my knowledge, they have been your old time customers, but their names just came to my knowledge a few days ago and I've been looking for them." Anna said.
"Who are they?" Rumero asked, curious himself.
"The family of Nari Sui." Anna went straight to the point. With the way Lola had described this man to be so rich, she never thought it would be so easy getting information from him. She guess people could actually do anything for money, including giving out important information like that.
"Nari Sui?" Rumero asked trying to jiggle his memory. He couldn't recall having any Sui family in here, the only family he remembers is the one Kate has brought in herself. Which was Grace and the General. Was there any other Sui?
"Yes, I know she brought her family in here a few years ago and has kept them here for a while. I may not know what their names are, but you have to check your records for that. I want them to be the first patients for my campaign. Arrange a meeting with them, I need to also speak with them." Anna ordered.
"But miss..."
"Is the money not enough for the job?" Anna didn't let him speak or argue. One thing she's learned about these deals, is that you never let your victims speak for long or try to understand the situation.
"Is that all you need madam?" Rumero asked.
"I also need a few patients for the charity campaign. I would need a list of their names." Anna said.
"Remember, whatever conversation we have in here remains in here unless you want to spend the rest of your life in prison for the illegal drugs you give to your patients." Anna threatened.
"We will arrange for more patients to be included in the charity campaign." Rumero agreed immediately.
He would need to have selected patient who actually need the money and certainly stubborn Grace and her grandfather will be out of it.
Now seated in her cell, Grace counted her fingers as she tried to juggle her memories to remember at least her name and that of her neice. Her condition has gotten worse than before as dirt now stuck to her skin like they belong. The treatment in here was quite different from the one she faced before.
In here, no one cares about you and you get beaten everyday if you don't go out for the usual daily works. She hasn't had the time to visit her father, but at least the little girl Meredith visits her and tells her he's okay.
Grace wanted to see her father even if it's only once. Just a little glimpse of how he's doing
