"I thought you already left..." Her words were cut short as Noah pulled her towards him and carried her out of the mansion.
"What's going on Noah?" Confused Anna asked as she was led into the car. Though his grip was firm, he was too careful to hurt her. He already knew what was happening, everything Kate had said last night about reconciliation, he should have known that woman has done something stupid.
Trying to pitch him with the royal family is absurd. And who tries to take someone else's wife? How much more stupid can Damien and his mother be? Fighting with him over his wife?
"Your aunt has apparently accepted the dowry of the royal family to marry you, even if she knows you're married to me." Noah smiled tossing the unsealed letter. Anna's eyes scampered through the letter and her eyes turned more wide.
Damien was claiming her to be his, while giving a stern warning to Noah to let him go. She's never been so irritated in her life before.
"Why would she do a thing like this?" Anna asked surprised herself. She couldn't believe Kate would do such a thing. Why would she accept another dowry if she knows Anna is already married to Noah?
What game is her aunt playing this time? Why would she do a thing like this?
"I'll handle this Noah, you don't have to worry about this." Anna suddenly said. She was scared of Noah hurting her family, she knew what he could possibly do if he sees her aunt. It was already enough that she had lost her grandfather and her Aunt Grace, she didn't want to lose any family member anymore.
"And how would you do that?" Noah asked staring at his wife. He could see how much she was trying to protect his family and it irritated him. How much more do this people have to do to finally open her eyes that this people are not family but enemies?
"I... I'll tell her to return the dowry, there's no way we're accepting that, I'm already married to you." Anna said.
"And what if she doesn't do it?" Noah asked. Knowing how cunning and manipulative that woman was, he doubts she would agree to it. She did this on purpose because she knows Noah knows something about her plans. She knows he's the only person she couldn't decieve.
This is just a mere distraction for what she already has planned. And it only goes on from this. Noah knows. Elizabeth was a proud Queen, there's no way she would want to reduce herself or embarrass herself like this. There are so many women in the world, why would Damian be so adamant about a married woman?
He knew he needed to confirm if this seal really is from the royal family, or if it is another ploy to set confusion as always.
"You go handle her, I'll clear the misunderstanding with the royal family." Noah suddenly agreed with his wife as he took out his cellphone.
Anna was about to step out of the car when her hubby stopped her. "Do you think I'll let you go visit alone?" He asked. He didn't even have the time to spend the morning with her because he got an urgent call from Paul, but this is more urgent now. Whatever it is at the company can wait. This matter is more serious.
"But you can't come Noah, I'll be fine. You said you'll need to handle the royal family right?" Anna said.
"Don't worry, I won't get involved, I just want to be sure you're okay before I leave." He said and she nodded in understanding. One thing Anna has always known Noah for is keeping to his words, if he says he wouldn't get involved, then he wouldn't.
The car started moving and in no time, they were at the Sui's mansion. Kate smiled when she saw their car arrive. She has prepared herself for this moment, she has calculated her words and everything she would say to Anna.
"Nari, come now, I think they're here. Don't forget what we have planned." Kate said those hushed words to her daughter. At this point, the Sui's family wealth will not be the only thing she would be inheriting, she might even get some of Noah's wealth before she leaves, all thanks to her naive neice.
Anna stepped out of the car, but without Noah who sent text messages and made a few calls to the royal family. If anything, he was related to them and he still has the seal, which means they couldn't yet to anything to him. He was still with the most powerful weapon in their country.
When Elizabeth sent out the warning, her husband Raven had told her Noah had returned the seal. She had no idea he had lied about it.
Now seated on her seat was Elizabeth as she gave instructions to her servants.
"This is what you would publish to the media. Prince Damien getting married to Anna Sui." She placed her hands in the air trying to picture the scene with a beautiful smile hanging on that face of hers.
"No, I want it to be something romantic." Elizabeth said to the publisher.
"How about, Wedding of the year, Anna Sui set to wed prince Damien of Crownsville."
Damien sat next to his mother with a smile. He hasn't stopped smiling since last night.
"When did you return." Elizabeth listed her hands and his son kissed it.
"Now with father." Raven appeared next to his wife as the maids helped him take out his coat.
"I can't believe Noah would dump his wife after finding out she couldn't have a child. Why do children matter?" Damien asked picking a berry from the tray of numerous fruits as he threw it into his mouth.
With how Noah had fought for Anna that day, he would never imagined that he would be so petty. There are so many ways of having a child in this world, that shouldn't be a reason for split ups anymore. But what does he know.
He could already imagine the pain Anna must be in, knowing she's been dumped by her husband. But not to worry, he still loves her and he was ready to wipe her tears.
"It's not his fault his thinking is still limited." Elizabeth said.
