"I'm sorry ma'am, we're just following the procedures madam. I'm so sorry for the slight discomfort."
"And who gave such procedures?" She asked but rather than response, three maids surrounded her immediately as they started moving their hands around her body. Anna used her bag to slap their faces immediately.
"Don't you dare raise those filthy hands on me. You have no right to touch me."
She wasn't violent, but this people were really pushing her.
"What's going on there Collins?" A sweet innocent feminine voice rang through the air and Anna could see Nari walking out of the mansion with two other women. They were her relatives.
Anna didn't hesitate to walk up to her and her palm landed heavily on Nari's cheek. She knew these tricks so well. Nari must have paid this people to try to humiliate her today. She's the true daughter of the Sui's mansion, she wasn't some adopted street fool. She should not be treated with such disrespect.
Nari held her cheeks, her eyes turning moist and the women who walked with her frowned.
"Anna, what's the ruckus about? Why did you have to slap your sister?" One of the women asked surprised to see her in that state. They had seen her just hit the maids now and it wasn't very lady like to them. Seeing her act this way, have made them believe the lies Kate has just fed them now,as well as the other guest who had also heard the rukus outside and were begging to step out one after another.
"She's right Anna, Nari had done nothing for you to hit her." The other woman defended Nari, who admist the sting on her cheeks smiled. She knew this would happen, it is just one of her little tricks to make Anna look bad before others.
"Who gave rules about maids and butlers searching people?" Anna asked furious about what was happening. She didn't care how people saw or perceived her at the moment. She barely even cared of anyone recorded what has happened.
"Anna, aunt Grace just got missing, mother asked the guards to search whoever was coming in, just so we're sure we're not in danger." Nari explained politely still holding her cheek.
"It's nothing big, and you didn't have to hit Nari the way you did." The other woman said again.
"We've heard countless news about you being so rude, but who knew they were all true." The other woman spat.
"I'm sorry if their action had hurt you in any way. I know you're already to upset and frustrated after the news of today. I forgive you." Nari said and Anna frowned even more. She had forgotten both Nari and her aunt where present when Roseline said those words to her. If anyone would spread the news around, it would be Nari and her aunt Kate.
"That has nothing to do with any of this. Enough of your foolish act Nari." Anna said.
"Well, since you two are so pleased with what is happening. How about they search you too, let's be clear you didn't steal anything from the mansion." Anna turned to the women who had big mouth earlier and they frowned.
"How dare you insult us Anna Sui. You have no right to talk to us that way." Carol said to her, her anger visible.
"What's going on here?" Kate finally showed out and the butler rushed to her side.
"Nothing madam, we were just about to search this girl according to miss Sui over here and then she slapped the maids." Anna smiled.
"Miss Sui." She murmured. Neither was takong her identity slowly, this is what her aunt Grace had warned her about. This is what Kate wanted all along.
"That's very smart of you Nari. We need to be careful in this trying times. A lot has happened already and Nari is only watching out for our family Anna, she's doing what you couldn't do Anna." Kate said pulling her daughter close.
"Collin, this is Anna, my neice, you need to start treating her like family from now on." Kate said.
"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding Anna, Collin will never disrespect you anymore. It wasn't Nari's will either, we're all so scared after everything happening. I hope you understand." Kate smiled.
"Please come inside child, how are you feeling now." Kate stretched her hands towards her neice. Anna who couldn't believe what she was seeing was quite skeptical about accepting her Aunt. She couldn't believe this is the same Kate who just last week had send people to kill her.
Was she dreaming?
Have her aunt really come back to her senses?
But if she has, Nari would be out of here right?
Anna picked her bags and stepped inside the mansion. She will never be decieved again. All of these acts of kindness is just a way to make her release Mack, she will never release that man to them. He needs to suffer a little for everything he did to them.
Kate smiled and followed her neice back into the mansion. When Anna stepped in, she was greeted by a few other people in the Mansion. The few relatives who still came around to sympathize with them.
Anna also noticed the Shen's and Yong's who have also come to give their condolences. There was a police officer and another man in a brown suit who was seated at a corner. Their eyes were on her as she walked in.
Was her aunt and grandfatger really missing?
Was Kate really not lying to her? She had thought this was some sort of joke or a ploy to bring her back to the mansion, but this wasn't at all. Her aunt Kate hadn't lied at all.
"Anna, don't just stand at a corner, please sit." Kate held her neice's shoulders as she led her to one of the couch. Anna sat down, her mind calm already.
"Is it true?" She asked and Kate nodded immediately.
"The last time I spoke to Grace she had talked about taking your grandfather to the amusement park, and that was all I heard." Kate explained to her neice. She had thought about these lies for days and days now, trying to come up with a plan.
She knew if she didn't speak up, sooner or later her stupid neice would find out. It is better she exposed herself than someone else finding out.
"Do you know if she called someone else during this time?" The man in brown suit asked.
"I have no idea." Kate responded.
"It would be hard to find someone who got missing in a completely different country. It's been two days already and you're yet to get a call from the kidnappers still?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Detective Suge, please do everything to find Grace, she is a good person, good people don't deserve to go through this." Mia said. She had only heard the news from Kate this morning while she was still in their mansion. The bodyguard that went with Grace called Kate and informed her about the disappearance.
"Did she not go with any guard, or anyone?" Anna asked. It was so unlike her aunt to go to the amusement parks, everyone knows Grace hated places like that since she was a child.
"She went with two, they were the ones to call." Anna couldn't believe it.
"I... I should ask Noah to help find them, we'll find them if he helps." Mia scoffed at Anna's words.
"It's so very like you, always trying to brag and bring your man into things that doesn't concern him." Mia stated.
"Mia, that's enough. Anything is good at this point." Kate cut her off.
"Involving Noah would be such a good idea Anna. There's no need to worry Noah over our family matters, Suge here is the best detective anyone can find, I'm sure he's enough for now. If we still cannot find Grace after a week, then we'll get Noah involved." Kate explained and Anna nodded. Her aunt was right, Noah has done more than enough for them, getting him involved in this wasn't really necessary.
"I'll do my best madam, to find her, let us hope we find her quickly." Suge said rising to his feet.
"I should take my leave now, I'll call you when we have any lead on the case." At his words he started walking away. Anna stared at the man till he was out of her sight and once he was out.
"Anna." Kate called her neice softly. "I know we've had our differences in the past, but don't you think it's time to work things out. I have no one else except you and Nari now."
