"FATHER!"
"FATHER!"
A woman's loud scream was heard coming from a room. The scream was escorted by series of other screams and whooping.
"Keep quiet woman!!" A nurse yelled as they struggled with her. In their hands were injections they wanted to give her, but the woman struggled against them.
"Don't let Noah find out what you're about to do to me, they will never spare you." Grace kept screaming at them as she fought with them. She didn't like the injection they were about to give her, it makes her tongue heavy and makes her forget who she is for a while, thereby calling her down.
The injection was weird and what makes things weirder is that she has already started to lose her memory. But she kept the important memory close to her heart. She recites them every morning, just so she doesn't forget.
She had no idea why Kate would be this heartless towards her. Her greed and hate for Anna has turned her into a monster. A heartless monster.
Since she arrived here, Grace has seen her father only once, and the general wasn't looking good either. He was given the same injection that has made his condition become worse.
Away from the room Grace was locked in just Infront of the door we're two women, who cleaned the hall and where now standing before the last door in the hall which belonged to Grace. "Who is that this time?" One of the women asked as she packed the remaining dust from the floor. She had been working here for seven years, yet for all years of her life, she has never witness a thing like this.
The woman shouting has been screaming for days now. Her body was badly wounded from the result of the beating she has received, yet and yet again, she hasn't stopped screaming and telling those people she's not mad.
"Do you think she's really not that mad." Meredith asked Faith who looked unfazed by the shout. She has been here longer than Meredith and has seen worse cases.
"That's what they always say and then it is discovered that they are truly mad. I promise you Meredith, if I stay in here one more day, I might go crazy." The woman named faith confessed. Meredith still wasn't convinced that the woman in there was not sane.
She had seen mad cases, but none can be compared to that woman. She cries everyday since she got here claiming to be the aunt to Anna Sui, the biggest model in the country, yet no one has seen Anna here.
Why would Anna Sui even bring her aunt here in the first place? Though Meredith has seen cases where family members bring normal people in here, especially people they want to punish. She knew once a person was in here, it was difficult to get out, unless a powerful person decides to free you.
"Stop day dreaming Meredith and do your job. Remember, whatever they do with the patients are not our business, we're only here to clean and nothing more. We're not allowed to mingle with the patients." Faith warned as she carried her bucket of dust and started walking away.
The scream of the woman from the room suddenly stopped and three nurses with long stick in their hands and the doctor stepped out of the room. For now, no one is allowed to enter the room as they called the screaming woman a special case that needed to be tamed first.
Meredith couldn't hide her curiosity as her feet carried her into the room where Grace laid half conscious. She looked calm now, but she wasn't herself. Grace was unable to move, the drugs had taken full effect on her that she could barely remember who she is anymore.
Meredith has seen similar case like this, but the woman lived down the hall. According to the gossip, she's the mother of a popular celebrity, but they were yet to find out whose mother she was.
Meredith closed the door quietly behind her and moved close to the bruised woman. Her body has been bruised to an unrecognizable state that she looked hideous.
"Hello ma'am." Meredith called to know if the woman was still sane but there was no response from Grace. Just muffled sounds and tears that fell from her eyes.
"Help me Anna, please find me." Grace cried out. "I'm really trying to be strong, but I can't anymore." She added crying herself.
"Ma'am, can you hear me?" Meredith called, still maintaining a distance between herself and the woman. She had no idea if she was mad or not, but she needed to be safe herself so that she could escape before anyone sees her.
"Hello, ma'am, I'm Meredith. Are you really related to Anna Sui?" Meredith asked.
"Anna..." Grace called in a barely audible voice. The injection given has taken full control of her body that she was going into semi conscious state right now. She moved her head slowly, to the side as she spoke.
"Ma'am, please you need to answer." The door knob twisted and Meredith's eyes turned wide. She quickly picked up her mop stick and started cleaning the blood from the dirty floor.
"What are you doing in here, you're not the one assigned to clean this room." Another maid said to her with a frown. She's the one always assigned to clean Grace's room after every injection as instructed by Kate so that no one dared help her.
They had to be careful because the money paid to keep this woman and that old man locked in here was huge.
"I... I'm so sorry, I thought the superior asked me to clean. It's a good thing you're here, at least my work has been lifted." Meredith smiled, but the other cleaner didn't look like she was buying the lies.
"Get out of here before I call the authorities on you." The other servant yelled and Meredith rushed out of the room. She didn't bother arguing because she was superior to her. Maybe of she had a higher position, this girl wouldn't dare talk to her this way.
She stared back at Grace, who kept muffling silent sounds and then walked out of the room with her equipment. There is always a next time. Though she doubts that time will ever come, especially since this woman has seen her in here. They might double the security.
She needs to find the old man that came with the woman. She has to know who they truly are.

Anna rushed out of her bedroom at her aunt's words. She couldn't believe it. It was no wonder Grace hadn't responded to her text to picked her call in days. She was thinking Maybe her aunt didn't need disturbance and she was disturbing her, never had she thought she would get missing.
And how did Kate come up with such conclusions? How was her aunt Grace and grandfather missing?
As Anna hurried down the stairs she crashed against something hard, but before she could fall, Noah held her close. "Are you alright?" He asked.
"My aunt Grace, I... I think she's missing." Noah frowned at her words.
"How do you know, who told you that?"
"Aunt Kate just called me. I... I should go Noah, I'll call you if anything happens."
"I'll come with you..."
"No!" She said. "You have nothing to worry about Noah, I'll go with a few maids just Incase anything happens." At her words, she picked her keys and hurried away.
She had no idea what was happening, but this is not a good sign at all. She should have known something like this would happen when Grace stopped communicating with her. The whole idea of taking her grandfather on vacation was so not Grace.
Grace would never do such. She wasn't one to celebrate other people's misery.
Anna left the estate with a few maids and a bodyguard and in no time, she was back to her grandfather's mansion again. The maids at the entrance of the mansion only stared at her car as she arrived and walked away.
They no longer acknowledge her as a part of the family. They've never did, not since her grandfather disowned her willingly, but she hasn't cared.
"Miss Anna." The new butler greeted.
"Where's my Aunt, what's going on?" She asked the advanced looking man who looked so calm and composed even if she just got the news of her grandfather and aunt being missing.
"Madam is waiting in the lounge with the others." Anna was about to walk in when he stopped her again.
"After you have been checked." He added blocking her path with one hand.
"Checked?" Anna asked a little surprised. Since when did her grandfather's mansion become a military zone. And how dare they check a member of the family, it's not like she's going to steal anything.
"Yes ma'am, you see that's the rules here."
