Chapter 332 PEACE MAKING 3

1009words
After breakfast Anna had gone over to her room to prepare for her meeting with JK Lee as promised. Lola had already sent her the location for the meeting and she had informed her lawyer about it. She would never sign any contract without the knowledge of her lawyer anymore.

When she signed that contract in the past, she was desperate at that time and didn't read thoroughly. Who knew it would come back to bite her. Her lawyer had told her there is a way out of it,but she has no idea how.

"Can I come along?" Ashley asked as he finished the last touch of her make-up but Anna shook her head. The meeting was between her and JK, she didn't want so many people to be there. They would just have to reach to an agreement and get things over with.

Lola had advised her to take the deal to avoid the public being involved, but Anna Sui will rather die than enslave herself all over again. JK we're the ones to cut ties with her stating to the public that they never want to have anything to do with her. The fact that they're even coming back right now is ironic.

As Anna wore her shadow diamond necklace, she heard her phone ring. When she checked the caller, it was none other than Kate calling. She paused, feeling surprised as she stared at the ringing phone.

It would be the first time in ages her aunt was calling. Kate stopped calling her the very day she refused to play Noah and steal his money. She had demanded a lot that day. What did she think, that it would be easy to steal from a man like Noah?

Noah would kill them before they even steal a penny.

But Anna thought quickly drifted to something else as she stared at the ringing phone. Why was her aunt Kate calling her all of a sudden? It could be an emergency.

Did something happen to Grace? She recalled calling Grace for three days now with no response. Or did something bad happen to her grandfather?

Anna bit her lower lips and picked the call.

"Anna dear." Kate's voice could be heard from the other end.

"I just left your estate, I tried getting in but was sent back k by your husband. Can you imagine the disrespect Anna." Kate asked and then Anna's eyes went wide.

They were the people Noah was talking about earlier. The ones he asked Lurch to escort outside and never let them in again. Noah had every right to behave the way he did, her Aunt Kate has disrespected him time and time again, the boldness to even try to visit.

But why did Kate suddenly want to visit all of a sudden. It felt strange, especially where they had left off the last time they met. If she's looking to apologize for Mack and Nari, she can as well forget about it because she'll never free Mack without Nari embarrassing herself.

She had wanted to do it at Janjan's bridal shower, but a lot went on that night and she didn't have the oppurtunity to. She would embarrass Nari ten times more than she did to her. She'll make her pay for everything they had done.

Just as Anna thought of it,she suddenly realized she didn't attend Janjan's wedding that day because of everything that happened. She owed her dear friend a lot. To think she ghosted Janjan all this time when losing her child was all her fault and no one else.

She would have to create a little time to visit her now. Noah must have returned the Shens family wealth back to them, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't apologize for the inconveniences. She hadn't been the one to accuse them though, Noah did. He even locked them up overnight.

"What do you want." Anna finally asked her aunt after the long silence.

"Anna, mother just told you your husband embarrassed us and this is all you have to say?" Nari asked. Of course she just had to be there. The last thing she would ever do is let Nari into her home. She still couldn't understand why her aunt out of all the girls in the world had to adopt her worst enemy.

"That's not the reason we had even called Anna."

"Where's Aunt Grace, I haven't been able to reach her since three days now?" Anna quickly changed the conversation. She didn't feel the need to continue that conversation with them.

"Grace didn't tell you?" Kate asked as if surprised, but she knows what she has done to her sister. She knows the state she has placed her sister.

Grace has been living like a prisoner in their house with no food or water to drink.

That day when Kate hit her, she had surprisingly woken up with a very crucial headache, but she couldn't touch or move her body because she was chained. Grace had lost so much blood and hadn't been able to eat anything to regain the amount of blood lost.

Kate has kept her that way so that she wouldn't escape. Tonight, both she and the general will be shipped to the mental asylum in the outskirt of the city. It is in the same place where Nari and kept her parents. But Kate has no idea about it.

As she spoke to Anna, the maids were already preparing everything, and the truck to take them away had already arrived.

Anna didn't recall her aunt Grace speaking on traveling. But then she smiled, maybe she wants a little time alone with her grandfather, it'll be a good healing peal for the old man. It isn't a bad idea, as long as they both have fun together.

"She never told me, but it's okay. I'll call her later or send a text." Anna said to her.

"Anna, the reason I had visited earlier is to make peace with you." Kate said shocking Anna with her words.
