Chapter 329 PUNISHMENT 1
1010words
Grace picked the stick from the floor and turned to the remaining maids in the room. "What is this doing here?" Grace turned to Nari who was still in shock. How would she explain this now, Grace would never believe her.
Kate quickly grabbed the stick from Grace and held it in her hands. "I placed it in here for the servants just incase father gets violent again." Kate said holding the stick in her hands. Both she and Nari had both run out of excuses but she would never let Grace do anything to Nari.
She didn't even know why Nari thought carrying a stick for her father was the best idea. Now they have to go with the idea of him being mad, when his practically sane.
"When have father shown any form of violence?" Grace asked. She was tired of ways defending and fighting this two. Why can they not live peacefully as one family?
"You haven't seen it Grace, but I'm telling you, father is not who we know..."
*SLAP*
Kate could feel her cheeks stinging from the slap given. This slap was long overdue. Grace had thought it was a joke before, but now it's more than just child's play. Kate is deliberately harming their father and she doesn't know the reason why.
She wished she knew. She wished she was here before the accident to know what had happened to the general, but she wasn't. She had hoped for her father to recover quickly so that she could ask him, but there's no sign of recovery. The doctor had said the possibility of him staying like this forever was greater and it's better off they kill him than let him suffer like this.
Grace didn't want his words to be true.
She knew her father would be a burden to everyone that is why she decided to take care of him herself so why are this two still trying to come close to him.
"If he's so violent then why are you two always coming to him. Why don't you leave him alone?" She asked furiously. Kate who was still shocked that her younger sister had slapped her said nothing.
"Why would you slap my mother Aunt Grace, she has done nothing wrong?" Nari said out. Things were really getting out of hand.
"Do you take me for a fool?" Grace asked. "Do you think I don't know you were the one that had hit my father with a stick?" She asked further.
"For a girl they picked from the slums and turned into a daughter again you sure do have nerves." Her words were like lightning striking Nari to the core. She suddenly frowned, the innocent daughter demeanor was gradually breaking from her face.
"I should hit you with the same stick so that you can finally know your place." Grace dragged the stick from Kate and struck Nari on the hands. She was furious. She would never let anyone bully her father in his own home. This people have hurt him enough, they have bitten more than they can chew.
She has let things slide for so long, but never again.
"GRACE!!" Kate called furiously grabbing the stick from Grace as both women struggled for it. It would be the first time both Kate and Grace were fighting physically since they both grew up.
Everyone knew Grace to be the calm and composed daughter. The one that listens and never talk back, but ever since Kate and the general decided to bully Anna, Grace changed completely. She became the daughter who would never condone such things anymore.
"Let this stick go Grace." Kate yelled as she struggled with her sister. She would never let Grace use the stick on her daughter again.
"Why? So that you two can hit father and accuse him of being the mad one. He can barely move or talk, how is he the one mad and you two are sane?" Grace asked as she dragged the stick from her sister and turned to Nari. She hot the girl over and over again in an attempt to give her the same mark she gave to her father.
"Stop it aunt Grace you're hurting me." Nari screamed as she ran around the room. Kate followed who had no idea what to do picked a flower vase from the table and struck her sister's head with it. She dropped the vase and it shattered on the floor.
"Should have done this long ago." Nari said with a frown as she rubbed her palm on the bruise marks all over her body. Grace was a beast, the woman showed no mercy to hit her over that stupid old man.
"Chain her up in her room and make sure to take her cellphone and any means of communication from her." Kate commanded. It was time she took matters into her own hands. If only Grace has minded her business, she wouldn't be facing things like this.
The servants who had witnessed everything were still in shock, but then it's a normal thing now for Kate to hurt people with vases. It should never be kept near her.
They carried Grace from the room over to her room as instructed. No one called the doctor to check up on her as Kate has asked them not to. She has kept her sister in her room to die, it would be better if she died anyways. At least they would have only little to worry about.
Now they have Grace, they had Anna to worry about. Kate didn't know how, but she would have to keep her neice away from visiting for a while. And the only way to do that is to make peace with Anna. They have to stoop low and apologize to her.
"I'll make another soup for father."
