She has dreamt of a life like this one. A life filled with love and peace and no worry at all. But that life is impossible, not in this world. In this world, there's no day of peace for her. It's either she's on the news for doing something terrible or she's fighting with her family. She couldn't recall the last time she's had to just seat and not worry like the times she's with Noah.
Wrapped in a thick blanket against the harshness of the wind, Anna adjusted on Noah's body, her head pressed on his firm chest as she listened to the calm rhythm of his heart beat.
"Shake one more time and your panties would go missing." She buried her face further into his chest at his words, her ears turning red. She was tired of his slutty promises, she wanted him to do all the wicked confessions that left those lips to her, but she was to shy to say anything.
She would never utter such words from her lips.
Earlier, Noah had showed her her grandfather's will, he said he had acquired it the night he was almost killed. It is the same will that Kate wants so bad which is the reason she was accusing Anna of harming her grandfather without any solid proof. Anna didn't know what she was planning, but at least she knows she's the next successor of everything they own.
Her grandfather has given everything to her. She should be running the company not Kate. But the general's wish can only be granted if he's dead, now he's alive, she cannot inherit anything yet. Unless, she proves that he's not able to do those things anymore.
"Have you met grandpa's lawyer personally?" Anna asked.
"Hmm." Came Noah's response. "We met once and he confirmed that the will was actually written by your grandfather." Noah said.
"When will you take everything away from your lousy Aunt?" He asked because he knows even if Anna knows everything the Sui's have belongs to her and her father, she will never take anything from her aunt's. She would rather work hard for her money and keep them in charge.
But Noah knows the evil witch Kate would never let things slide.
"I don't think it's a good idea, my aunt's need the money more than I do." She said meaningfully.
"Who says they wouldn't have money?" Noah asked. "They'd only work harder for it. You'll only be put in charge of everything." He explained.
"That's why Aunt Kate is the eldest."
"You're willing to give your inheritance to her?"
"She knows more about the business than I do. Besides she's still family, it's not like I wouldn't benefit."
"She adopted your arc enemy as a part of the family." He reminded her.
"She wasn't thinking properly and now her pride won't let her stop." Noah smiled. This naughty little wife of his, having fate in evil people.
"She almost killed you days ago and even pushed you down before the guest that attended your party." Anna raised her head to meet his gaze with wide eyes. Noah knew about that? Why didn't he ask or show concern?
"If I asked about it, you know the answer already." As if he read her thoughts he responded. She had warned him to stay clear off her family, that is why he hadn't said anything about the injury.
"All sins can be forgiven." Anna said. Even if her aunt had tried to kill her just days ago, she was willing to let it go now. There's no need holding grudge against a family member. Whatever they have done to her in the past, she has forgiven them all. She's in a better place now and don't care about the past anymore.
"Do whatever you want. But just know they won't see another light of day if anything happens to you." Noah said, his words were a warning she couldn't ignore. He has respected her wish a lot and has stayed away from her family members like she asked, but it seems things are getting more complicated each passing day.
"I know." Anna assured. Noah had brought her out here to tell her about the child situation but seeing how peaceful and calm she was, he didn't want to ruin it for anyone.
As both people sat quietly in the balcony Anna quickly recalled the irritating remarks of the women from last night's event. They had accused her of ruining the Declan family and being the reason Noah had locked his sister up. Maybe she's part of the reason, but Noah had done that because Beth and Cara almost killed him first before their confession.
"Sugar." Anna called thinking of what to say to him. She didn't want to upset him at the same time wanted the rumor the women were spreading to stop.
"Hmm." As always he gave his wife his full attention and listened to her words.
"W... When will you let Beth free again?" Anna asked gingerly readying herself inwardly for his scolding. But nothing came.
"Why?" Noah asked and she bit her lips. She couldn't tell him about what she had heard the women say about her, it's not she cared, but she didn't like the wrong accusations.
"Her punishment has been going on for long." Anna said.
"It's just been four days." Noah reminded. He wondered why everyone around him turned so soft and good. He would never let Beth out till a month left for him. That sister of his has done more than she should. She should never think of hurting his wife ever, not to think of actually implementing her thought because of some childhood jokes.
He never even joked about marrying Cara before, he didn't tell his family to start those stupid match making because they thought he was gay. Their foolish actions almost cost the life of his wife. If he hadn't arrived when he did to that party, he wondered what would have happened to her.
The thought alone angered him but he controlled his temper. He always does around this woman.
"Four days is enough for her Noah. Don't you think?" Anna met his gaze and his eyes softened even more. Many times he's asked himself why he had fallen in love with a soft woman, but he cannot get the answer for it. Anna has a good heart even if the world and people around her has made her act so tough.
"When do you want her to be free?" Noah asked casually even if that's the last thing he wanted. Even if he reminds of the vile things his sister did, she would still forgive her and request for her release.
Anna was stunned by his question. If Noah willing to let go of his sister on her demand?
"Tomorrow." Anna said hesitantly to see her hubby nod.
"Tomorrow it is." Noah agreed with a small smile. He then changed the conversation quickly. "What will you do with JK entertainment?" Noah asked. He had heard about their threat from Paul and the stupid company doesn't seem to be joking,but Anna has told him she can handle it like she has been doing her other problems and he trust she can handle this.
"I have a plan, just wait and see." Anna smiled. She had come up with this plan not a while ago as Lola called. She will never work for JK entertainment. They had done so many nasty things to her in the past, especially when Labels still feared to be with a black listed celebrity.
She wasn't yet in the celebrity status, she was an ordinary model back then when her image was being tarnished and both Lee and JK has cut all ties with her immediately because of one scandal.
She popularized scandalous models still being on top and now everyone wants to do that.
Their stay in the balcony would have lasted all night if Noah hadn't carried her inside. Evelyn had requested they all have dinner together in celebration for the new child.
Since she wasn't getting pregnant any time soon, Anna didn't find it funny anymore. She infact felt so bad for Noah's parents. She could already picture the sadness on their faces when they find out she isn't pregnant at all and it was all a misunderstanding that would have been cleared if Noah doesn't want to play his games.
He had told her to pretend like it was true to test her acting skills for the upcoming movie. If she pass this test, then he would believe that she was a good actress. But Anna didn't want to practice with his parents and grandfather.
