According to Paul who had arrived at the scene, he said there were no survivors. He said his guards were chased by paparazzi to a hidden tunnel and crashed. But that story seems tricky and old, ateast whoever did it would have come up with something else.
He knows the paparazzi games so well, whoever did this, must have planned for his wife. The story was simple.
'Anna Sui, dies in a car accident. Our sources says she was being chased by a group of paparazzi who still remain unknown.'
The news was playing out in his head over and over again. What Noah didn't understand was how his wife escaped such fate.
He clicked his tongue. He was glad his wife was okay, but he was still mad he had lost important lives in the process. His best ten men are all dead, including the chauffeur.
"Send a message to their families for my condolences, we'll have to compensate them for the lives lost." He said to Paul who nodded and left.
"Welcome back Master." Lurch arrived with his usual greetings and Noah passed his bag to him. He started walking inside the mansion, removing the first three buttons of his shirt only to see his wife already seated in the lounge waiting for him. Noah smiled. He saw her move her hands through her hair, her face held a frown that still made her look cute.
"My sweet girl." Noah called moving next to her and in the next minute, he saw her stand to hug him. Anna sobbed into his arms and he hugged her protectively whispering, "It's okay, I'm here now." He said.
"I... I almost used that car." She muttered softly.
"Thank God you didn't. I would have died myself is anything happened to you." Anna looked up at Noah admist her swollen red eyes and running nose.
"Don't say that Noah. I will never rest well knowing you hurt yourself."
"There will be no need for that. Not when. I'll meet you wherever you go." He smiled as he used his hands to wipe her tears. "Let's celebrate that nothing happened to you tonight... I truly don't know what I would have done." He confessed, thinking of all of the possibilities.
At that moment, even though he would have loved to die with his wife, he would also crave revenge for whoever had tried to kill his wife. He would never let them walk on the surface of earth freely.
He would have to find out what problem she has caused that made this happen.
"How are the guards?" Anna asked even if she knows the truth. She wanted to confirm it from Noah again.
"Dead." He said briefly. "I asked Paul to meet with their families and compensate them." He added.
"You didn't come like you promised." Anna said softly as she buried her face further into his chest, squeezing his shirt with her hands. Noah opened his mouth to speak but before he could. "It's okay. Kate turned his return into a party to mock father. The guest all left because of that." Anna started and Noah listened.
"Tell me more." He said calmly and she started speaking. She gave out every detail of everything that happened. After her long talk, Anna finally calmed down.
"What do you want me to do with him?" Noah asked, knowing his silly wife had something in mind against them. Anna was tired of her family playing and toying with her emotions every single time. She would make sure Kate gets the taste of her own medicine.
For planning to kill her, she would humiliate them herself.
"I want a picture of Mack gifted to my Aunt tomorrow morning. He needs to look in his worst state." She stated.
"Done." Noah responded. "Now let's get you to bed, we'll deal with the others tomorrow." Noah carried his wife in bridal style as he walked through the stairs and into their room. The maids and servants, even if we're already used to this lifestyle from their master and madam still blushed each time they saw them together.
They have seen both people through the best and worst times. Many of them are still starstruck by Anna's presence but that didn't make them not do their jobs.
Noah tucked his wife in bed after cleaning her up. He laid next to her and brought out his phone.
'I need a photo of Mack sent to the Sui's mansion by morning', Pail who was about to sleep recieved a text from his boss and quickly responded.
"Okay." He went ahead to do his job, before going to bed.
When morning came, Anna and Noah arrived in the dinning room only to see Grace seated there already. She smiled the moment she saw them and Anna quickly recalled her request from last night. This is the last time she would see her Aunt eating with them like this, but it is for the best.
She couldn't trust Kate with her grandfather anymore. Grace has to be there to monitor everything going on.
"Aunt Grace." Noah greeted the woman and she smiled at him. He's the best son in law anyone could wish for and she's so happy her neice had found a man like Noah. With everything going on, Anna really needs Noah by her side.
"Good morning Noah." Grace finally greeted him.
"Morning aunt Grace." Anna greeted her aunt as she found her way to her seat.
"You look so happy this morning Anna." Grace turned to her neice and Anna smiled. She was happy because she couldn't wait to see Kate and Nari's reactions when they finally see the little gift she had for them. She had everything planned.
Infact, she had called Lola early this morning to arrange everything. But she couldn't tell Grace, Grace would scold her for playing with her Aunt and lecture her on not taking revenge on a family member no matter what they do. Anna clicked her tongue at her thoughts.
"I heard what happened last night Anna. I'm glad nothing happened to you." Grace said.
"That's been settled." Noah quickly cut in. He didn't want his wife to get all emotional and sad again over what had happened.
"That's good." Grace commented and took a sip of her tea. Half way to the dinner, Grace brought out her napkin and dapper her lips with it.
"Uhm, Noah." Noah turned to meet her gaze.
"I will be returning to my father's mansion today. I already spoke to Anna about it last night. I just want to say thank you for having me here when I needed it the most." Noah nodded.
"It's nothing, you're welcome here whenever. Be careful when you get there." He said. Left for him, he would have asked her not to leave now. Kate is not in the best state of mind and she can do anything to hide her tracks. But since Grace is eager to go there, there is nothing he can do about it now.
"Thank you so much." Grace said.
After breakfast, all three of them went out of the mansion to see Grace off. Anna even suggested of going with her Aunt and even if Noah didn't stop her, he wasn't at peace with it. It is only last night Kate had planned for her death. He didn't want anything to happen to her.
"Don't worry hubby, I'll be fine. Lola and the rest of the crew will be there to take me for the press conference." Anna said giving him the big cat eyes and he couldn't say no.
"I'll ask my guards to go with you just Incase." He said to see her smile brightly. It is a dangerous decision but he can't say no to his wife no matter how much he tries.
Anna got dressed and followed her Aunt back to the Sui's mansion. Her grandfather's mansion, the place she grew up and spent more of her lifetime in is the last place she wanted to be in. It's amusing how a place she once used to call home has turned into something else in time.
Her Aunt Grace used to say her grandfather caused this and only him can change it. But right now, her grandfather is in his worst state. He can barely recognize any of them.
They finally arrived at the Sui's residence, the guards by the gate didn't hesitate to open it the moment he saw them.
The chauffeur drove into the huge yard and kept moving till he arrived at the entrance of the mansion. As always the butler and maids came around only to see Grace and Anna. They hurriedly walked towards their car and started offloading Grace's luggage.
When the maids were done. Anna and Grace were about to step inside the mansion when they heard a loud scream...
