"How can you be so heartless Anna?" Nari asked panic stricken. She had bragged about loving Mack a few minutes ago, now it's time for her to prove that love before everyone.
She doesn't love Mack enough to embarrass herself for him.
"No daughter of mine will ever kneel before a worthless fool. You can keep Mack, we'll find another way." Kate stopped her daughter from doing anything and Nari sighed. She would never kneel before Anna, not in this life or the next.
Anna laughed at her aunt's words, her soft laugh echoing in the room. "There is no other way Kate. Unless you want to take your daughter's place." Anna said shocking the people in there. Including the servants moving around the mansion.
"How dare you disrespect your Aunt like that Anna?" Chan spoke out this time, she has been quiet for too long but not anymore.
"Know your place Channel and don't get involved in matters that do not concern you." Anna barked back. "This is not the diamond show, this is my turf now." She warned. She had endured a lot from this woman, but not anymore. This isn't the diamond award, this is her grandfather's house, she would never let anyone destroy what is hers or try to control her.
"You don't speak to my mother that way Anna." Ava spoke up for her mother as she glared at Anna.
"Maybe I wouldn't if she respected herself." Anna retorted with her glare and Ava shrunk in her place. Never in their life did they think Anna Sui would be this bold to put them all in their place.
"Well since we're done here, I should take my leave." Anna stated and immediately the guards Noah had sent appeared in the mansion. She turned on her phone and responded to Noah's message at the same time, sent him another message.
"Keep Mack Yong wherever you've kept him for longer time hubby. I want to prove a point." Noah didn't wait a second to respond to her.
"Done." Anna smiled.
"You'll regret everything you're doing Anna, trust, you don't want enemies with us." Veronica said but the girl looked unfazed by her words.
"You're already my enemies, it would change nothing." Anna said nonchalantly as she started walking away with Grace tailing behind her. The guards by the door bowed the moment they saw their madam walk towards them.
Kate watched her neice's retreating figure with a frown. She took out her cellphone and made a call. "Call everyone you know, we need to find Mack as quick as possible." She said and ended the call.
"Anna, Anna Sui." Victoria rushed out of the mansion too with her friend as they followed closely behind Anna. She wanted to fulfill her daughters one and only wish but she never knew she would witness the drama she witnessed in the Sui's mansion today.
It seems like the Sui's family heiress is in fact not in acceptance to Nari being her sister, but on the news, they made it seem like she was. Everyone with eyes could see the game Kate was playing, it sure is indeed a dangerous one, but Victoria knows if Anna plays her card right, she would win.
Adopting a complete stranger to compete with the rightful heir over her inheritance is barbaric. But anyways, it's not her family, and it's not in her place to do anything about it.
"Hello." Anna turned to the woman who had the brightest smile on her face.
"I know this is not the right place to do this. But Anna, my daughter Helen is a big fan of yours. Tomorrow's her birthday and her biggest wish is to get a recognition from you, even if it's a little hello." The woman asked.
"What is her name again."
"Helen Gale." Victoria quickly said and Anna nodded.
"I'll definitely surprise her tomorrow. Tell her I said hi too." Victoria was very pleased by Anna's words. Even if she's the face of Summerlane or the newly crowned diamond, she was still so very humble.
When Anna reached the yard, she was shocked to see Lola standing with the guards. "Lola."
"I've been standing here for hours now, your guards refused me to see you." Lola explained. Anna could already tell the reason Lola was here. It must have been because of the news with Nari and her Aunt Kate.
"The internet is on fire, you have to make a public statement." Lola said staring at Anna. This is what they wanted from her. Anna knew this is what her Aunt had planned all along. If she says anything, the public will be quick to judge her and call her a bad person, and if she doesn't. They would still call her a bitter person.
Everyone was waiting patiently for whatever she had to say. "Well if it's news they wants, let's give them that shall we?" Anna said.
"What do you have planned?" Lola asked.
"We'll use your car for tonight, I don't trust my chauffeur." Lola nodded and they all got into the car. Grace watched her neice with amusement, she was watched Anna with Amusement ever since she stood up to Kate. At least now she knows, Anna is now grown enough to take care of herself.
"Anna." Grace called. She has decided to leave Noah's mansion and take care of her father. She doesn't trust Kate or her daughter to care for her father. Maybe him surviving everything they did is God giving her a second chance.
She can handle Kate and the stupid Nari like always. Whoever had tried to kill her father was still there somehow, so she would never leave him in their hands anymore.
"Yes aunt." Anna turned to her. Her neice is very respectful to people who loves her, and is disobedient to those she doesn't like. She would never be upset at An a disrespecting Kate. Kate deserves it, maybe a little insult would reset her brain.
"There's something I want to tell you." Grace started.
"What is it?" Anna gave her all of her attention as she spoke.
"I'm moving out of Noah's mansion. I need to take good care of your grandfather." Grace said. "You and your husband have been so good and generous to me, but I can't let those people treat your grandfather that way." After everything that happened tonight, Grace has determined to never let Kate take care of her father anymore. She would rather die, than let Kate close to the man again.
At this point, she trusted no one. Not even herself.
"You know you're free to come over whenever right?" Anna asked to see her aunt nod. She understood Grace's words, it's best she stays and take good care of her grandfather. No one knows who had tried to hurt him, and it seems Kate is trying to hide the person or she has no idea who had done it and is now trying to blame Anna for it.
When Anna and Kate arrived back at the mansion they were yet to see Noah around which had Anna wondering if he was too busy with work. But no matter what Noah would always return home to her or take permission if he would be a little late.
She brought out her cell phone to call him but her phone rang instead. Anna picked it up immediately, "Sugar."
"Where are you?" Came Noah's desperate words.
"In the mansion." Anna responded in confusion. She wondered why he was panicking so much as if something bad has happened to her. Noah sighed.
"I'm coming over." At his words he hung up.
Almost immediately, Lola called her. "Anna, something terrible just happened." Lola said causing Anna to panick. With everything Noah just did, she hoped nothing bad has happened to him. That's the last thing she wanted at the moment.
"What is it Lola, what happened?" Anna asked.
"Your car and the guards who escorted it last night were all involved in a ghastly accident with no survival." Anna was shocked at Lola's words. She wanted to use that car tonight, what did they mean they were involved in an accident? How did it happen?
"The world assumes you are dead. I guess you'll have to make a statement tomorrow." Lola said.
"Okay." Anna hung up and settled on the couch. As she sat down a frown marred her beautiful face that she didn't notice the man who just walked in. It's obvious who had done it. Kate has planned her death because she threatened not to release Mack Yong.
What if she was in her car? What if she hadn't left with Lola when she did?
