"What about Mack?" Henry asked with a frown. It was indeed strange they haven't heard from their son, rather they were both given an invitation to the Sui's mansion and some clothes.
All Henry thought was that his son was already living with the Sui's and they had nothing to worry. He thought their invitation to the Sui's mansion was to officially celebrate them and welcome them as the new family members. He didn't know the invitation was about humiliating the general and forcing Nari on Anna.
Henry had been disappointed by everything he saw. He shifted his gaze to Kate whose eyes were already on him. Since they didn't come to her, she walked up to them. At this time, the remaining guest in the mansion had already left, leaving, Chan and Ava who conversed with Victoria and a friend of hers.
Victoria Gabe had stayed back because she wanted to request something of Anna. Tomorrow is her daughter's birthday and since the little girl is Anna's biggest fan, she wanted an autograph or a little notice from Anna. Victoria has liked Anna because of her little girl and all the baby wanted was a little notice from a favorite celebrity.
"I'm afraid we haven't found Mack since the diamond competition." Kate said as she got close to them. She didn't bother to hide anything anymore, since the remaining people in the lounge were either family members, relatives and close acquaintances.
"Why, what happened to him?" Henry frowned. It is no wonder he had tried to call Mack but he didn't pick up. They almost thought their son had abandoned them until this invitation.
"Where else will he be?" Kate asked. "Noah Declan has your son and it is all because of Anna." Kate said bluntly staring at her neice. This is all she knows how to do, put the blame on Anna.
Anna is the only person that can bring Mack back from wherever Noah had kept him, but rather than begging her, Kate wanted to blackmail her into doing it. Like she has always done, she would force Anna to make Noah release Mack.
After all, her neice is a naive fool and would do anything asked of her.
Anna smiled at her words. She has taken more than enough bullshit from them tonight. When she said she wasn't going to get Noah involved in her family affairs, it was because her family matters are not something she couldn't handle alone.
"How is that my fault Kate? If Noah has Mack it's because he works for him. Do you still want me to remind you how much of a useless son in law he is?" Kate clenched her teeth and raised her hands to slap the girl but Anna held it. The humiliation she had gotten tonight is enough.
It's high time she puts an end to this madness. Enough of Kate treating her like a fool. She was fed up by it. She pushed Kate's hands away, causing her to almost stumble to the floor.
"Anna, how can you be so heartless..."
"Safe the act for someone who actually cares Nari. We're not friends, neither are we sisters. The only reason you're using my image online is because I didn't want to cause a scene earlier." Anna cut Nari off.
Veronica was stunned at how much Anna has changed. The girl was someone who wasn't always this outspoken. Hell, even a toddler could step on Anna Sui.
"You used to love Mack Anna. You used to love the same useless son in law." Veronica yelled at her. She was scared for her son's life now she knows Noah is involved in his disappearance. Veronica has seen how ruthless that man can be first hand, no one wanted to go to war with him. They all know he's the one who had destroyed the Mongrel's empire recently.
"Isn't it a shame. I was blind, I guess I have eyes now." She said coldly. The sound of Mack's name made her feel a certain anger she's never felt before.
"Anna I beg you in the name of God, please talk to your husband to release my son." Veronica fell to her knees and Nari rushed to her side to help her. "Don't do that mother. Don't kneel before this girl." Nari said. This act attracted the attention of the few people in there.
Chan who had been engrossed in a conversation with Victoria untill now frowned. "Excuse me." She said and walked up to where Anna and her family where.
"What's going on Nari?" Channel asked the girl and the dirty looking woman on the floor.
"Oh it's nothing much Chan dear. We're just trying to settle a little problem." Kate said.
"Even if I was to help you all, after the humiliation before everyone tonight. I'll never help Mack. That will be your punishment, I'll make sure Noah keeps him wherever he is for days and make sure he suffers." Anna said proudly, even shocking her aunt Grace who stood next to her.
"Just say you're jealous Mack is now married to me. Ever since the competition you've been jealous of I and Mack." Anna laughed out loud at Nari's accusations.
"How barbaric." She muttered.
"Say it Anna. Say you're not jealous of us. You even have to fake a relationship before everyone because you want people to think you're okay. It's not my fault Mack choose me. It's not my fault our love conquered." Nari continued.
"Why would Anna be in love with Mack?" Grace asked.
"Isn't it obvious Aunt Grace? You always pick Anna's side no matter what without knowing the truth. She had threatened I and Mack at the competition and now she's sent her goons after Mack." Nari accused Anna.
"I'll expose you Anna, if you don't release Mack by tomorrow morning. I'll make sure you pay for everything you have done." Nari said but Anna only laughed out loud. Noah has told her she could be a menace however she wanted. He said she could cause as much trouble as she wanted and that when she's done, he'll clean up her mess. Maybe tonight would be the first night she'd do it.
"You can do nothing Nari and you know it." Anna said and Victoria who had been listening to their conversation smiled. Now she understood why her daughter loved Anna Sui so much. She has seen her family bully her, just one woman against four others, yet has refused to back down no matter what they did.
"The only way you can be able to see Mack again is if you kiss my foot before all of these people. If you don't, you'll never be able to see him ever again." Nari clenched her hands into fist. She didn't like the sound of this.
"What right do you have to declare such? You're not God Anna Sui, don't think because you're Noah Declan's toy, you can do whatever you want." Veronica yelled at her. She now recalled why she hated this girl.
"I'm not God. But your son's life depends in my hands and in any decision I make. Choose your words wisely Veronica." Anna threatened. She had no idea Noah had Mack before, but right now, it feels good to use that against these people.
"You better tell your daughter in law to hurry up with the apology. You love Mack so much don't you Nari. Why don't you kiss my feet to have him back?" Anna asked with a sinister smile displaying on her lips.
