The Sui's quickly settled their differences knowing other people were watching them, but that doesn't mean Grace has taken her eyes off her sister. She was still upset Kate had to show her father to the world without her consent. Kate has no right to do that. Embarrassing their father for her selfish reasons, was way too much.
Grace has been with the man since she returned, and the one time she went back to Noah's mansion to change her clothes, she got back to her father was missing from his room. She had asked the doctor and he said, Kate had demanded he's released and that he'll be treated from home. She didn't expect her sister would be dumb enough to embarrass their family like this.
Not only will they be ridiculed right now, they will be the talk of the town. Especially now that Anna is on the news. She just won the diamond crown. Grace knew why her sister was doing this. Since Nari didn't win, Kate wanted to ruin Anna's image every chance she gets. She couldn't just let Anna go freely, she would do everything in her power to destroy her.
Her intentions tonight was humiliate her grandfather first, she had no idea her neice would make it here tonight. Well, she can kill two birds with one stone.
News about the general will never be ignored, since he's Anna's grandfather. Grace wanted to call Noah for help, but her son-in-law has done more than enough for her and her neice. He has protected them so much. Noah has his own issues to deal with, but he still does things for them.
She'll have to fight this fight alone this time. This is her family after all. Her father had been hurt because she left him alone, but not this time. Kate has to stop this madness, she will never let it continue.
Grace watched Anna escort her father and the maids into the room with a smile. No matter what her neice has been through, no matter what the general has put her through, she still loves him so much. Most times Grace wonders if Anna will ever forgive him when she finally remember everything that happened. From what she heard from Noah, they had hurt her the night of her 'Face of Eclipse', party that made her almost lose her child.
Grace felt so sad. Her neice doesn't deserve all of this treatment. And now Kate is trying to accuse Anna of harming the general, but for what? Why is she so hellbent on destroying Anna?
Grace might be trying to protect her neice, but what she isn't aware of is that Anna already knows Kate's plan and is already working towards it. Though Noah has promised her he wouldn't let anything happen, this is her family. Anna knew Noah too well to let him get involved, she would handle this like every other problem of hers.
Her phone suddenly beeped and she saw Noah's text, she wanted to respond, but at the same time, "Everyone thank you for being patient with me through this time." Kate's voice rang through the silence and Anna gestured her hands for the maids to take the general in without her. For some reason she wanted to see what her aunt wanted to do this time, after the humiliation they just caused her.
"There have been rumors around about me adopting a child. Yes it is true. I want everyone to know that I have adopted a daughter." Kate started with Nari beside her, smiling innocently to the camera. "For years, my neice Anna has been so lonely. We feel so sorry for her and decided that she needed a sister. Anna had picked Nari as the best option herself. I want you all to stop the rivalry between both girls, they both love each other like sisters." Kate said and Anna rolled her eyes.
She should have known. Kate was using her to uplift Nari's career again because now the world has turned against her. It's the only reason her aunt let her go easily, to use her.
"Yes, mother is right." Nari added. "Whatever happened in the past has been settled. I forgive Anna, my now sister for leaking my nude pictures even if they were all fake." She said softly that one would think she has never committed any crime in her life. The photographer captured every word, every moment of it. They had both planned it, but what both people didn't think was that it would be tonight.
Kate was someone who didn't play with oppurtunities, and would turn every opposition in her favour. Tonight, while they fought with Anna, she suddenly realized something. Rather than putting a show before these gossip mongers, she would do something else.
"I just want you guys to know, for every reaction there is a provocation." Anna was stunned at this. She smiled. These women, they really think they're smart. Nari was playing a victim and also turning everyone against her. The camera man quickly shifted his camera to Anna's face after Nari's words, but the girl only smiled innocently too. She has been in the game too long to fall for this little tricks.
"I love you Anna." Nari declared.
Anna followed the maids inside to ensure her grandfather was well rested before returning to the lounge. It didn't take long for her phone to start buzzing as everyone talked about Nari and Kate's little video. That little video had gone viral in less than 30mins since it was uploaded.
Anna's reaction have nothing and because of that, many people started calling her different names.
Most people weren't pleased with Nari and Kate's move, others insulted Anna for provoking Nari and Nari being innocent all along. The two blogs that usually drags Anna carried the news immediately as they victimized Nari as usual.
Lola tried reaching out to her, but she ignored. She wasn't in the mood to address anything tonight. The guest who were still celebrating with the Sui's, congratulated Kate and her new daughter. Now she has officially announced Nari of being a Sui, so hence, Nari will no longer be addressed as just Nari. She will be addressed as Nari Sui.
Veronica didn't like the sound of this. Though she didn't like Anna too much as she saw the girl to be disrespectful, she hated Nari more. Right now, she regretted ever insulting Anna or trying to push her away. Anna had done nothing wrong, it was all Nari. She's still the reason they lost everything, yet she acts like they've done nothing for her.
Veronica found her way to where Anna stood with Grace by her side. "Anna." She called admist the new mother and daughter dou embarrassing themselves before everyone.
Anna frowned on seeing the woman. She had told herself not to let Mack or his family come near her every again, especially after everything they did to her.
She had wondered why Veronica was invited to their party, and then she remembered Nari is now married to Mack. In the past, she used to love and adore this woman, but after everything they did. To think she had lived lika a slave while she was still engaged to Mack.
"What do you want?" Anna asked. Her tone was rather indifferent. Grace also frowned at Veronica. She didn't know if her neice remembered anything, but she would never let this people come close to them. Not after the humiliation the Sui's gave to her neice.
"We have been wanting to see you and at least talk to you." Henry appeared from behind. He had seen his wife walk towards Anna and had followed her immediately. Anna is the girl they have been looking for, the key to their freedom. All they needed was a word from her and they would be free again. But when Henry reached the girl, he didn't like the look on her face.
"It is nice to see you again Anna." To think has been right about his son all along was really interesting. Henry wished she was the one Mack had married. Aside being beautiful, Anna had a wonderful character, but once she's taken for granted, she changes. He could understand her hostility towards them. They haven't been the nicest to her.
"We have been looking everywhere for you, hoping to see you and apologize for everything we did."
"We don't need your apology Veronica. Anna is doing fine without them." Grace spoke for her neice.
"Anna, our apology comes from a good place. We are truly sorry. It's okay if you don't forgive us right away." Veronica said. "To prove that my apology is genuine Anna, I want to tell you a secret about Nari."
"Mother in law." Nari called from behind.
