Chapter 308 DUNGEON GIRLS

1535words
It's been almost a full day since Beth and Cara have stayed in that dungeon. They were both tired of the tortures from the guards or from the tiny insects that bit them.

Beth slapped her skin from another insect bite. She used to like those little creatures but not anymore. She couldn't stand them. They haven't even had anything to eat yet, Noah has decided to punish them like this all because that wife of his. Oh how she'll deal with Anna when she leaves this hell.

Coming from the wealthiest families and living a peaceful and classy lifestyle, Cara and Beth who weren't used to this form of torture, cried. They've tried to endure, but not anymore. They couldn't continue like this. There's no way Noah is willing to punish them this much. All they've done all day, was part to an image and get locked again.

"Beth, maybe we should just apologize to Noah. Maybe he'll forgive us." Cara said. She couldn't endure this pain anymore. She felt so cold, her hands and legs sore from kneeling and crawling on the concrete floor. And above all, she was hungry. So hungry that she could eat anything at the moment. Cara, the proud daughter of Hannah Goldenrod, was now locked in a cell crying and begging for food.

Her father would lose it if he finds out his daughter was locked here. But how the hell will she pass the information to her father? How will he even release her, it is Noah's order that she's in here? No one will free her unless he does.

Her parents didn't even know she's in Crownsville, they'll never let her come close to the Declan's. After the humiliation Hannah had gone through that day, she swore to never return to the Declan's mansion and she never did.

Cara was running out of patience. She bit her lower lips, trying to endure the cold she was going through at the moment.

"Nonsense Cara, we can't let that bitch win us. We can't give up just yet, there must be a way to bribe the guards to let us go. Even if we don't have the strength to fight, we have other means of escape." Beth suggested and Cara's eyes went wide.

"Are you suggesting..."

"Yes, I am. Unless you want to stay here longer than you have you would do nothing. Come here." She crawled close to her friends cell and Cara have her listening ears. After a while of planning everything they would do, both girls but their lips and stared at the guards. Once it was time for their worship, they were both led out of their cell with handcuffs in their hands.

Beth started at her friend and Cara nodded. They are partners in crime, whatever they did, they did together. They would both kick Anna out of the Declan's family and Noah will end up marrying Cara.

Last night, their plan had been very simple, but Cara unfortunately could not do the needful. Beth regretted not hiring someone to take the task. Today, Anna would have already left the Declan's family. From the little detail Beth heard from her mother, Anna Sui is now fertile, which means, Cara has to get pregnant for her brother.

They were going to take Noah out while Cara did the deeds and then the him down with the news of her pregnancy.

Even if they had failed last night, the next time, they will not fail.

Beth watched the guards untie her hands with the key and placed it back on his belt. He brought out his sword and pointed it on the girl, "Now, pray." He commanded. Raising the sword meant she had no say and had to do what is asked of her, else, she would be slayed by the man. Noah has put her in a life and death situation, but like other times, she would escape from this. She would never give him what he craves so much.

She had thought his punishment with her would be like the rest. Her apologizing before their parents and she could go on with her life. But her brother had shocked her. Never in a million years did she think he would ever have the heart to lock her up in a dungeon.

Elizabeth Declan, a daughter of a reputable family, turned into a criminal overnight because of her brother.

She clenched her hands into a fist and fell to her knee. Cara stared at her friend waiting for directions on what they had agreed to do, but Beth didn't even look at her. When they made that plan, they hadn't thought of the guards being so aggressive and unapproachable. Beth had thought the previous guards from before will be here, but they weren't.

These are new faces, working according to the other of the man with the seal. Noah had instructed that no one come in here to visit them. She had seen his eyes when they took her away. It still made her shiver.

Anna has turned her brother into a complete stranger. He would do anything for that girl, I clouding harming his own family. Anna doesn't deserve any of the treatment she was facing.

Cara mistook Beth's silence as a god ahead and she turned around to seduce the guards as planned only to be hit on her arm by the sharp blade. The cut was deeper than anything she could imagine.

Shock, fear, despair didn't let her say a word as blood kept pouring out of her hands.

"Cara," Beth screamed and was about to rush to her side but she was stopped by the next guard. "Kneel and pray." He commanded.

They had both forgotten these men aren't just ordinary men. They were well trained defense force used to protect the king. Noah has just signed her death and has abandoned her in a completely different land with no help or assistance.

With teary eyes, Beth watched the men take Cara away for treatment. After her silent prayer, she was escorted back into her cell where she waited for Cara to return.

Meanwhile, as both girls struggled to escape, back in the Declan's mansion was Evelyn who was in her bedroom still crying. She had begged her son countless times to free Beth but Noah has refused to listen.

She had even gone to the dungeon herself to see her daughter but the guards didn't let her in. They denied her all access to the dungeon. Evelyn didn't know what else to do.

She has pulled all of her dramatic stunts but is still unable to convince Noah enough. Noah was mad this time and she understood him. But his punishment was too extreme for his sister. No matter what she's his sister. His baby sister.

"Noah why don't you listen to your mother and release Beth? Only you have the power to do so, please do it for her." Lionel begged his son. He never imagined things would go this way, no matter what Beth is their little baby, and there's no way they'll sleep well at night knowing she's somewhere suffering.

"Is that why you called?" Noah asked in a nonchalant tone. They had told him his grandfather was Ill and he was here to see him, only to witness this madness.

"Noah, your mother has not eaten anything since we got back. Do you want her to starve to death?" Lionel asked. He couldn't stand to see his sweet wife starve herself to death.

"I'm not doing that," Noah said bluntly. He had somewhere to be so he couldn't stay here any longer. Anna had told him about visiting her father today. She must already be there, Noah didn't want her to visit those people alone.

They're no longer her family. They're people who had bad intentions for her. If only Anna would listen to him and not go close to them.

"You can't treat your family that way Noah. You have punished your sister enough, it's time to let her go. Whatever she did should be forgiven." Vincent said. He had been avoiding this conversation, but Noah's punishment for his granddaughter is enough. No matter what Beth has done, she doesn't deserve to be treated this way.

"I won't do that," Noah said. He knew this people would stall him here longer than usual and he wouldn't be able to go with his wife as planned so he went her a text.

"In an important meeting right now, I'll send my guards to go with you and protect you until I get there." He sent the text but never go a response. Anna didn't respond to him and he turned worried. He could only hope she's okay.

"Noah you can't be this heartless towards your sister."

"I can and I will." He said. "Beth needs to learn to stay away from my wife. It's enough she had tried to drug her at the party, but threatening to still harm her, was the height of it." Both she and her friend need to stop their foolishness and he will be the one to end it.
