Seeing that the Declan's were the only people invited to seat and dine personally with the royalties, a lot of people didn't take it lightly. They were jealous of the relationship between the Declan's and the royal family, forgetting that Evelyn herself is related to the royal family.

It's bad my old time friend could not make it to this dinner even if it's his birthday." Vincent said and Elizabeth smiled.

"Indeed, but father has lost interest over this things through the years, at this point, he just wants to be happy with a lot of grandchildren roaming around him." Elizabeth said staring at her son but Damien gave no reaction to her words. It wouldn't be the first time she's hinting this conversation to others, and he knows it would not be the last if he doesn't get married soon.

"That's the same thing I want for my Noah. I need to be a great grandfather soon." Vincent said proudly.

"Kid's this days, so stubborn and nonchalant about life. In our time, we were married at twenty." Lionel said. He was twentytwo when he got married because of his father's business and Evelyn was only 18. She wasn't even in college yet.

But they started having children, once they were both done with their studies.

But this days, Noah took over his company without even getting married. Everyone knew his son was more than capable in handling the company, without him getting married. To Noah, marriage is just a plus to his achievements.

"Oh of course you will have a grandchild soon, elder. Noah has a wife now, doesn't he?" Elizabeth asked. "Why didn't you come with your wife Noah? I know you're a private man but bringing her to private events like this will not do anything to her or even put her out there since it's clear you two don't want that." She said. Or was he ashamed of her? She wondered.

Maybe she isn't all that, and is probably pregnant, the last time she heard, they said a girl was running after him. Maybe she's the one and the Declan's are hiding her now. Or maybe she isn't from a reputable family at all.

Noah didn't say anything to her and just kept eating his food. Anna who was seated next to him didn't say anything either.

"Anna." Elizabeth called to hide the embarrassment and Anna turned to her. "Yes."

"How do you like the food dear?" She asked the girl to see her smile. "It's wonderful." Anna responded and the woman returned the smile.

"Everything has to be in other for future purposes. Who knows if you'd get married to Damien in the future." Anna couldn't control herself as she laughed out louder than usual to the queen's joke. Enough to draw the attention of a few others close to them. She quickly composed herself.

The queen's words had been funny to her, but when she saw the woman wasn't smiling, she stopped. Noah chuckled softly at this, curious to know what Elizabeth would do to his wife. Oh how wonderful it would be if he reveals she's his wife.

He didn't want to, but situations like this requires honesty before things gets out of hand. But Noah's amusement suddenly came to an end when Damien added a few vegetables to Anna's plate. He wasn't at all hurt at her action.

"What's so funny? Is it a bad thing if you're my daughter in law?" Elizabeth asked and Anna shook her head.

"No not at all. It's just, I and Damien are mere friends and nothing more." She said. Evelyn who was already irritated by the conversation finally peeked around the table, in search of someone who she usually use as an excuse for these kinds of conversation, but she couldn't find her around.

Beth isn't the type that just leaves, she always stuck to her mother in every event they go for. She turned to Noah and whispered to her son, "Where's Beth?" Evelyn recalled the last time she had seen her daughter, she was with Noah. They seem to be having an argument but she paid it no mind.

"With Cara." Came Noah's short reply. Evelyn wanted to ask more but was briefly interrupted by the king Raven. He clicked his cup with his small spoon, gaining the attention of everyone in the hall with him.

"Good evening everyone." He started. "It's unfortunate my father could not make it here tonight, but he has asked that the party and celebration go on without him. So without further Ado, let's get on to the event tonight. I would love everyone to sing him a birthday son, that's one of his wish tonight." The king said and everyone rose to their feet.

At the sound of a tiny click of glass, they all started singing.

'Happy birthday to you,

'Happy birthday to you,

'Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you.

"Thank you all. Please enjoy your party." Raven said and everyone clapped. His father didn't make such demand, he just wanted to do it himself, to seem like a caring son, when in fact he isn't.

He stared at Noah once again, only to notice him staring at the girl by his side. Raven didn't pay attention to her or anyone in the room since he arrived. He had been so scared Noah would expose him to his wife, but it doesn't seem that way.

The girl was beautiful and young. And that is when he noticed Damien adding more vegetables to her plate. He smiled. This silly son of his.

"Who's daughter are you?" The king asked and Anna met his gaze.

"She's a Sui, dear." Elizabeth quickly responded before Anna could. She loved the way both Anna and Damien are getting along. If it continues this way, their marriage will definitely happen faster than she thought.

While the king and queen continued to interrogate Anna, Evelyn who didn't seem in peace with herself as she hasn't seen her daughter turned to Noah again. "When last did you see Beth and Cara?" Evelyn whispered worriedly.

"Before I returned." Noah responded.

"So why didn't they come for dinner?" She asked. She had remembered coming here with Beth alone, how the hell did Cara even get here?
