Chapter 300 PUNISHMENT 1

Evelyn didn't know why she was worried, normally, she wouldn't mind where Beth had wondered off to, especially when she's with Cara. But today was different, she suddenly felt like something was off.

"She's in a place where she belongs." Noah responded, throwing more vegetables in his mouth nonchalantly and his mother narrowed her eyes at him. She understood every word that came from her son's lips because they thought alike.

Noah and Beth have been known to be sworn enemies while they love each other very much, she hopes he hasn't done anything stupid to his sister.

Lionel who had noticed his wife's sudden solemn look asked, "Are you alright?" His voice was soft and she turned to him.

"Beth is not dinning with us." She said.

"So? she's probably found something amusing that is more important than food." He said but his wife shook her head. She would have believed him earlier, but not this time. Her daughter cannot just wonder off, especially since she didn't want to be here in the first place.

Elizabeth who overheard their conversation asked, "What is wrong Evelyn?"

"Oh it's nothing. I'm just a little worried at why my daughter isn't here yet." She said.

"Yes, that is true. She had been with you before Anna arrived right?" Elizabeth asked to see the woman nod. "So where could she have gone?" She wondered, then she waved it off.

"Maybe she found something amusing, or better still decided to retreat to her room."

"That's what I said too, there's nothing to worry about." Lionel said and his wife shrugged. She just hoped their words were right. Even if she wanted to believe them, she was still in doubt. Why would Cara just decide to go to her room at the middle of an event, she's a party person and would find something entertaining to do, especially since Cara has arrived too.

"I don't think she's in her room." Evelyn said again. Elizabeth nodded and raised her hands and a guard walked up to her. "Go to miss Beth's room and check if she's okay and report back to me immediately." She ordered. The guard bowed before walking away.

"Let's confirm if she's there before we jump into conclusions." Everyone nodded. The royal family went back to their food and Evelyn anxiously chewed on her vegetables. Soon the guard returned. He whispered something in the queen's ears and she frowned.

"What's going on?" Evelyn asked anxiously.

"Miss Beth is not in her room." Evelyn frowned, she turned to Noah, "Where did you say you saw them again Noah." Everyone turned to Noah, including Anna who was seated next to him.

Anna remembered that when she left with Evelyn, Bath had stayed back with Noah. She had seen them speaking before deviating her eyes from them. Surely, Noah might have an idea where they are.

"Where did you see her last Noah?" Elizabeth asked this time, turning impatient at his slow response, but she knew Noah Declan. He always takes his time, before doing anything.

King Raven sat there quietly, staring at the young man. He was impressed. So Noah wasn't joking when he said he was going to use that seal on his sister. He thought and smiled.

Raven's brown eyes met that of Noah's, he was curious to know how the rest of the people in here would react when they find out what he has done with his sister. He also wanted to know how Noah had used the seal and what made him do it. But whatever the reason was Raven still had found his action stupid, and if he hadn't caught him cheating, he would have exposed Noah a long time ago.

Since Noah covered for him, he would have to cover for him too. He clicked his tongue. This cunning devil. He knew something like that would happen, it's not the first time Noah had caught him cheating once, but this would be the first time he has demanded something from him to keep him silent.

"In the tower with her friend." Came Noah's short words.

"Then I shall send my guards to check the tower." Came Elizabeth's words.

"There's no need for that. They're not there." Evelyn turned to her son, hoping it wasn't what she was suspecting. "What do you mean?" She asked.

"They're locked up somewhere far from here, where they belong." His words were cold and distant shocking everyone on the table. Evelyn didn't like the sound of this. She knew her children always fought, but she never knew it would get violent.

"How could you Noah, Beth is your sister and should not be treated like that no matter what." Her voice was a bit raised attracting the eyes of the people around and Lionel held her. He quickly got up and took his wife away. Elizabeth walked away too, so did the rest on the table, leaving Noah on the table with his wife who has refused to leave and Damien who couldn't leave Anna's side either.

She knew Noah wouldn't just hurt Beth. Even if she's never seen them speaking to each other so well, Noah was one person that never joked with his family, and would do anything for them.

Anna placed her hands on his thighs and he stiffened. In her defence, it was an attempt to calm him down, but she had no idea of the things she did to him.

This clumsy woman, did she think this was a joke. Seducing him in a serious time like this? Noah held her hands and wrapped his large palm around hers. At the same time, Damien held the next hand and Anna's eyes went slightly wide. She tried taking her hands off Damien's, but he held her still, refusing to let go.

"Anna, can we talk outside?" Damien said staring at her. Anna turned her gaze to Noah who didn't look her way, but still held her hands in his. They had agreed not to tell anyone about their marriage unless it need be, and right now, she couldn't hide it from Damien anymore.

Noah had been right all along, but she thought she could maybe make Damien her friend. Now she realized his intentions for her is far from being just friends. He wanted something more, something more than friends. The queen has been hinting it since she got here. She was not a child to not see everything going on.

"We have nothing to talk about Damien." Anna said calmly, finally removing her hands from his and he frowned.

"What are you talking about?" He had suspected something more than a boss relationship was going on between Noah and Anna, but he never wanted to believe that. He didn't see Anna as someone that would sleep around with her boss. Just how shameless is she.

Was all of the news online true? That's she's a whore and she shameless woman? He has decided to ignore all of that for her, but seeing her now, he couldn't do it.

"I know what your Intentions are, and I don't want that." Anna said. There was no need involving Noah into it, especially since she believed Damien is someone who understands, someone far from being aggressive.

"Why, because you're sleeping with your boss?" He asked, shocking Anna. She had been too quick to judge him. Maybe Damien isn't as good as she thought. There really is no man like Noah, even there is, they were so rare.

"I suspected Anna, but I wanted to believe you were different. You're the same with every other whore I've m..." Damien didn't complete his words as a heavy blow kissed his cheeks.

Over at summerlane, Mack had been walking for quite some time now, but was yet to find any means of escape. He had tried calling Nari so many times, but her line was no longer reachable. He didn't know what was wrong. When he called her before, she told him she would send help, but she still hasn't and it's evening now.

Mack sat on the quiet road in frustration as she stared into space. He was so lost in his thoughts. Did Noah really dump him in a jungle? Why has he not seen a single soul since he got here, and he has been walking in like forever.

Mack rose again and started walking, the more he walked, the more exhausted he got. He walked for a long time, his throat dried, leg soar from all of the trekking. Never in his life as his shoe given him toe sour before except today.

Mack was exhausted. All his life he has always tried to be strong and act tough no matter the situation, but right, all he wanted to do was sit and cry. He was tired. The torture is just too much for him. He couldn't take it anymore.

As he walked, he came to stand before a stream and he didn't hesitate to dive into it. He was so thirsty that he couldn't use his hands to scoop the water. He rather used his mouth to drink large quantity.
