"You're her employee?" Elizabeth was taken aback by the sudden revelation. Is that the reason the Declan's have come to this city? Because of Anna? But why didn't Anna's family come?
Then she answered her questions, the moment she recalled her right hand man telling her about a few details of the girl. He had talked about her bad reputation online and that she would not bring good things to the family, but Elizabeth still insisted Anna becomes her daughter in law. The girl looks okay, plus her son is in love with her.
Anna's family aren't in the best state right now, her grandfather had been reported to be in the hospital after an accident and her Aunts... They had no information about them.
Elizabeth found her closeness with the Declan's rather suspicious. From what she knows, Evelyn Declan hates models and celebrities, so how is she so close to Anna and even trying to introduce her to them?
Why will they all waste their precious time on a girl that is just signed to their entertainment company? Is Evelyn also trying to court Anna for her son? She frowned. She won't let that happen, Noah can go find somebody else, her son has chosen Anna and Anna he would get.
"I was." Noah said confusing them even more. "Not any longer." He added relaxing on the couch as he crossed his legs. The last thing he wanted is to be found in the gathering of women, he should let them gossip and laugh, but this stupid boy was here, and he's sitting next to his silly wife. As time past, he turned even more jealous seeing her still sitting next to Damien.
His eyes were on her, he didn't dare take it off, giving her mixed feelings. And her reaction satisfied him. Anna bit her lips, wondering what she has done wrong this time. She tried to communicate with him, but he still didn't say a thing to her or make any reaction.
Anna thought the reason Noah has not spoken to her is because they're in public. He's trying to hide their identity so that more people wouldn't know about it. She wishes she could enter his head and actually see what he's thinking.
"Damien, didn't you say you have something to say to Anna?" Elizabeth asked her son who smiled.
"Yes, I was hoping we could go out for a stroll so that I can show you around?" Damien asked. He understood his mother was trying to help him, on his own, he's still so very shy to talk to speak to any woman. Even he has grown, and would be king something, his nature is not and will never be the outspoken type.
"Uhm..." Anna bit her lower lips, thinking of what to say. She glanced at Noah who had a grave look on his face, he couldn't hide his disdain anymore and she was scared he would do something stupid any moment now.
"We..."
"Evelyn." A voice came from behind and an average looking man with a golden crown at the top of his head appeared from behind. His pressed his lips on his wife and she smiled.
"You're here." Elizabeth said giggling even. Noah has never been more disgusted by anyone in his entire life, this old fool. He thought. After kissing and fucking a damn maid with that lips, he dare use it on his wife. He clicked his tongue and the king met his gaze.
"Noah." He called staring at the boy turned man who had caught him red handed. It's not like Kings didn't have the right to cheat, but he has promised his wife he would never because he loves her so much and even changed the law of a king having more than one wife. He thought his decision could keep him at bail, but he was wrong.
Now more than ever, he has become addicted to cheating with the younger girls. As women get older, they tend to fade to their husband, sex becomes so had because both parties are no longer attracted to each other. That's why most men cheat on their wives for younger women, and most women cheat on their husbands for you ger boys.
"Your lordship." Noah greeted with a slight bow. The kings announcer immediately interrupted their conversation with his announcement. "It is time for dinner, please move to the next hall everyone." He dropped the mic and walked away.
"Ah, I was here to invite you all personally, but it seems Bonny has already made the announcement. Please come with me." Raven held his wife by her hands. As he walked away, he stared at Noah who stared back at him, but deviated his attention to the prince talking to his wife.
"Let's eat together." Damien said stretching his hands.
"You go ahead, I need to ask my boss something important." He nodded and started walking away. As he left, a small frown settled on his forehead.
Anna waited for the other women to leave, and once they were all gone. She took in deep breaths and stared at Noah warily. "Why did you wait?" He asked taking his mother's hands.
"Why are you without your mask?" She interrupted his question with hers. He's meant to be with his mask so that he doesn't leave her side.
"Something happened." He said and held his mother's hands as they started walking. Noah leaving her all by herself meant he was upset with her, like she has deliberately sat next to Damien. She rolled her eyes feeling slightly agitated.
"Come Anna." Evelyn held her daughter in law's hands and they headed to the hall. When they got there, the servants led them to the special table made just for the royal family. Only the Declan's are meant to be seated next to the royalties for this private dinner occasion.
Lionel and Vincent were already at the table, which Evelyn frowned at. Her father in law is now so old, he didn't need to attend all of these gatherings or events anymore.
