"I said your father just woke up this afternoon. Though he's yet to say anything to us, maybe he'll speak when he sees you." The doctor responded enthusiastically, unaware of her change in attitude.
"Is everything alright?" Nari turned to her mother, at the same time, Kate's assistant walked up to her and sat next to her. He had an urgent news to tell her. Something she would want to put into consideration.
"Did you tell anyone else about it?" She asked. No one has to know he even woke up so that she could exact her plans of killing him. There's no way she would let the general expose him. She would rather kill him and kill herself in the end.
"Oh yes, we did inform Mr Declan, he's the one that brought the general in here anyway and also your younger sister Grace is it." Kate ground her teeth in frustration to the point the taste of metal filled her tongue. If the doctor had told Grace about it, it's obvious she's headed for Summerlane already.
"I'm on my way back from Crownsville, we'll visit the hospital when we get back." She hung up and pressed stress out of her forehead. The past few weeks had been so stressful that she feels she's getting older by the minute because of how much wrinkles has appeared on her face. Kate so wished for the life she had before, but she knew all of it was gone now. It's either she's in charge of her father's company and inheritance or Anna is. And she will never let her neice ride her or be in charge.
"Is everything alright mother?" Nari asked against when she got no response the first time.
"We're not on speaking terms now Nari. I'm still very disappointed in you." Kate said calmly.
"What is it?" She turned to her assistant and the man began, "More investors have left the company within hours and more are threatening to leave." He said. It's not that the company wasn't doing well, they were leaving because of the recent bad press from Nari and because Kate isn't trust worthy enough. For someone who isn't always in the company or cares about it.
All is does is spend more than they were earning. If this unnecessary spendings continues, then they will definitely go bankrupt.
"Call for a meeting with the board I need to address the issue. And also, I just got a call that the general is awake." After hearing about this, Kate was contemplating whether to sell the company off right now, or keep her father alive. Handling the business is the only thing she needs him for anyway.
The man nodded and found his way to the back.

Mack was handcuffed and pushed in a truck as they deported him back to his city tagging him a criminal and a fraudster. That's the tag Noah had placed on him and his family since Anna destroyed his career. He used to be smart, he was always ten times ahead of his enemies, but not this man.
Noah had once again ruined his life and this time publicly embarrassing him and his new wife. Just how long will he continue to live like this? Why doesn't that man have any weakness? No one, not even the devil have any information about him so that they could strike him.

From the information Mack has gathered, his ex Anna could even own the company. She had turned from his little toy, to the wife of the richest man and the best model in the world in less than a year.
Anna had mocked him today, she ridiculed him like he was nothing. Even if a few months ago, she is still the same girl who ran after him and fought people because of him. He had stared right into her eyes today, and the look in this eyes showed that she's still very much in love with him. He could see it and feel it.
Though he never valued her when she was with him, right now, Mack realized what he had taken for granted. The girl who used to run after him and cook him the best meals even if he never wanted it, is so beautiful. After she left, he realized how much he missed those times they were together and wanted her back. But she's already taken. If only there's a way he can reach her again.
He's willing to do the things she wanted him to do back them. He's more than willing to kiss her, and hug her, and whisper promises of love to her ear. Mack sighed. He loves Nari, but not as much as he does Anna anymore. He cannot just see her with another man. He'll never let that happen.
Mack tried to free his hands and chew through the piece of fabric used to tie his mouth but he couldn't. Mack felt so frustrated. He was tired of the endless suffer, he wanted Noah off his neck but the man wouldn't.
