It was almost midnight, and everyone, including the newly crowned diamond were exhausted. They have all been partying through the night, mingling and chatting with different people. Anna who had just finished talking to different brand owners walked over to her families table.
The gifts and congratulations have been in abundance. Everyone who attended the after party attended to celebrate with her, most of them wanted to be an acquaintance in some way, whether it was fake or genuine love Anna didn't care. She knows the industry is a wild place, it is either you use or get used. No hard feelings.
Anna looked so exhausted as she walked towards her hubby. All Noah wanted to do at this moment is hide his wife away from the media and everyone. To take her far away to an unknown land where no one would see her. She would need a long vacation after this. A place where they can both hide from everything and everyone.
"Where's Aunt Grace?" Anna asked Noah as she sat next to him. All she dreams about is to fall into his arms while he carries her to their bedroom or bathroom to bath and freshen up. And then carry her back into their bedroom and she falls asleep in his arm. He would cuddle her and place his sweet kisses all over her face as a reminder of his endless love her her.
Anna missed home. And not just any home, but Noah's mansion. It's the only place she finds peace recently.
"She couldn't make it tonight. Not after the news she heard." Noah said briefly handing her a glass of drink and she took a sip. Her last experience with parties and evening events made her wary of drinking in any gathering anymore, but since Noah is here. She could do whatever she wanted because her hubby is here to protect her.
There were large tables set for everyone in the hall, and they ate and chatted with each other. Staring at everything in here, Anna wondered how much Noah had spent to set up everything for her. He has done so much for her and she has done very little for him. In other to make it up to him, Anna decided to do something stupid.
"What news?" She asked worriedly. Was it about her grandfather, was he alright?
"It's about your grandfather." Noah said as he adjusted the mask on his face.
"What about him?" Anna asked, her words desperate as they left her lips. She could already feel her heart beating so fast already. She hopes her grandfather is okay, she didn't know what to do if anything happens to him.
"There's no need to worry he's fine. He just woke up, though he hasn't said anything to anyone, the doctor says he's getting better." She laughed and rubbed her chest at his words. She had been so scared earlier. "Don't scare me like that anymore." Anna said.
She couldn't believe how the day had turned out for her. Everything was going so smoothly. As they talked about her grandfather, she recalled Kate's words. "My aunt said something about you taking a document from the mansion the day of the incident." Anna chummed in, but she didnt see Noah's lips curve into a smile. Just the trap he wanted.
He picked on of the vegetables with his fork and brought it up to her lips. "You don't have to." Anna peeked around, a few eyes were on them, especially that of Evelyn who had her mouth hanging open. "Open up." Noah said and she did as instructed. She started chewing the vegetables. A few people took pictures of them and smiled, while others stared at them with envy.
"What else did she say?" He asked as he brought another vegetable to her lip and she ate it. "She accused me of harming grandpa stating that a maid confessed about me sending her on the mission." Noah frowned at this. That stupid woman, whoever is telling her to come up with these lame lies is probably setting her up for destruction.
"I took your grandfather's will that day when Bean called me. It's the reason I stayed back that day." Noah explained.
"I'm sorry but I think your aunt knows something we don't." Noah said.
"What do you mean?"
"I think she has a had in your grandfathers accident." Anna saw some sense in what Noah had said. But why will her aunt try to kill her father? She had suspected Nari and had also thought that the reason Kate was behaving this way, is because she was trying to cover up for Nari. Anna didn't want to believe her Aunt would hurt her grandfather.
Those two are too close to harm each other.
Noah brought a glass of juice close to her lips and she took a sip. If one looked closely, they would see how much she was blushing right now. She could already tell what the headlines will be.

"You have nothing to worry about, she would do nothing to you." Noah said to see her nod. Anna gave signal to Paul who nodded her way. She was ready for the final act of tonight, and that's surprising her hubby.
