Everyone wanted to know who and what they were but so far they haven't seen anyone come in yet. A man in black suit rushed to the side of the car and opened the door and a man in well ironed black suit stepped out. He had a black mask on his face, so no one could make out his identity. The camera men took pictures of him, but they noticed he hadn't moved from where he stood yet.
He stretched out his hands and a smaller hand covered in light pink gloves held his. When her stilettos stepped out of the car, the crowd erupted as flashes of light bath their faces. Hidden behind her own mask that covered half of her face, Anna was equally stunned when she saw a carpet event. Lola and Ashley said nothing about this.
This is only an after party, but someone has successfully turned it into an elite ball. She turned to Noah who was also staring at her, the look in his eyes were questioning and she responded. She hoped he isn't forcing himself to do this because of her. Noah is one that hate parties or social events, but yet, he is attending her after party because of her.
She had no idea the motive behind his attendance, but she hopes it's for the best.
"Anna Sui, please turn this way?" One of the camera men called and she turned to his direction. She held Noah's hands as they started walking together, both showing their love and affection for each other without even trying.
"Anna who's the mysterious man? Is he the new relationship you spoke about?" One of them asked as they took pictures of Noah and Anna together. The flashes of camera were eyes blinding and Noah had to blink each time he walked. This is the reason he rejected interviews and media rounds, because of this. He hated this lifestyle more than anything, but this is who he married.
He has fallen in love with something he hates. What he hated the most has now turned out to be his lifestyle because of the woman walking beside him. He turned to look at her again, only to see her eyes on him. She smiled at him and he returned it. Too bad she couldn't see it because of the face mask on his face. It covered his entire face, leaving just his eyes to the media.
Noah blinked his eyes again, the contact lens he wore were so uncomfortable. It's Anna's idea that he wore it if he wanted to walk with her. In her words, they had to conceal his identity in any way they could, to make sure no one even recognize him in any way.
As Anna walked past the last flight of stairs, reporters surrounded them, but it's a good thing Noah already had it planned out, as his bodyguards rushed to their side pushing the reporters aside. Seeing bodyguards appear, news flew from one corner of the world to another of the mysterious wealthy man Anna had brought to the carpet.
Many fans already started shipping them together, and others just said she's a whore and that Mr Borne was right all along even if he's about to be in jail for what he did. Hate started spreading online about Anna and Noah. Many speculated he isn't as rich or wealthy as they all think and that he could be an ordinary man Anna is fucking or decides to attend the event with because she saw Nari with Mack.
They called her jealous because Mack and Nari only just announced their marriage tonight even if it's in the worst way. Even if Anna is still very young, many called her old and bitter and that she'll die single. One thing you can never do, is change the public's mind about you, no matter how hard you try.
Anna and Noah started walking into the hall filled with other guest. The hall suddenly turned silent the moment both people walked in. It was already on all the news outlets and blogs about the mysterious man with Anna Sui. Fans took it as a medium to match him with every man known to them.
They could say he's another male model, but the man looked too build to be an ordinary model. His skin, without getting close to him, looked so soft, he looked too powerful to be described as just anyone. His aura was deadly even if they couldn't see his face.
While others insulted Anna, many recalled her saying she was over Mack and that she now has a new boyfriend but she would appreciate her love life being private. Anna's grip on her hubby's arm tightened as the stepped in. The hall looked so grand, decorations flew from one part of the hall to another. It was all decorated with gold.
"Did you plan this?" Anna finally asked the man beside her to see him nod. "I just thought the party they planned wasn't so grand or fitting for you." He hummed as he stared at the guest.
Now she understood why there was several change in location, it's because Noah was looking for the best place. Just who did she marry to yield so much power that he can do whatever he wanted.
"You didn't have to." Anna said softly.
"I had to sweetheart." Immediately people surrounded her one after another stealing her away from her hubby. Noah nodded for her to go on as he went ahead to a corner to wait for her to finish. It is her party, so it's normal she's occupied.
The Declan's arrived after a while too, all in their mask. Beth who didn't want to attend the event in the first place was dragged by her mother to attend. In her words, it was her sister in law party, plus her brother's birthday so they had to attend it.
Evelyn held the hem of her white dress as she walked in. No one had to tell anyone she wasn't an ordinary person, her dress, shoes, Pearl necklace and her gloves gave her out. But no one knows she's Evelyn Declan. The only person the world does not to is her so , as for her and her family, there are a few images of them online, which is the reason she has been unable to congratulate Anna for her win.
But now no one knows them, Evelyn saw it as an opportunity to congratulate her daughter in-law, but there were a lot of people around Anna. Especially reporters who questioned her. It's obvious they are looking for information from her, especially since she had arrived with Noah. Evelyn smiled.
What the queen did didn't leave her eyes, pushing her son to Anna, if she didn't know the woman personally she would have fought with her. No one can steal her daughter in law away from her son, that is why she must make sure Noah loves Anna more than anything. Like right now, he shouldn't just watched his wife get bullied by the reporters, he should save her and help her out of their hands.
Evelyn started walking towards her son, she had a small smile on her face as she approached him. Noah scratched the back of his head trying to stay sane as he watched his wife. Just then, he noticed a familiar figure walking towards him and he frowned a little. This woman will never give him a little breathing space, what does she want this time? He thought.
"I don't know you as someone who likes to party Noah." Evelyn said adjusting her mask. "I I didn't know how sturdy you look, I would never guess it's you." She pat his elbow.
"What do you want?" Noah asked the obvious as he watched her. There were a million thoughts running through his head about what she wanted but he couldn't just figure out what.
"Nothing. I just came to wish you another happy birthday. I know I already did." Evelyn smiled. To the people around, Evelyn looks like a stunning model or celebrity, or better still she looks just like Noah's elder sister. No one would believe this is his mother even if he says so.
"I hope you're not this hostile around your wife." She mummured taking a glass of drink from the waiter walking by.
"Why?" Noah asked already losing interest in the conversation.
"You can't let a woman as pretty as Anna face those beast alone. Don't you think it's time to save her, or do you want someone else to do it?" Evelyn chimed and sighed at the same time. She hated that her son was a sucker for love, but she had no idea he's the most caring and loving person in his marriage. As both people turned to Anna's direction, they both frowned. Another man with black mask was already saving his wife from the reporters.
