"What do you mean?" Anna turned to look at her, her blue eyes bright as always.
"In this stage of your career, you need a team that can do your job efficiently and accurately and I thought to come up with the best team during our stay here and these is our team. So from now, you don't have to do your make up anymore or attend events late because we're looking for a glam team. This is your glam team." Lola said. She hoped she hadn't offended Anna.
Even if to others she's just a huge model that can easily be destroyed in the industry, only she knows who Anna is and the power she holds. Lola is even sure this girl doesn't know who she is yet. It's a privilege to know and talk to someone like Anna Sui.
At this stage, she's almost at the position of being one of the heads in the industry.
Anna was impressed at Lola's decision and she was glad she had picked the people she liked. It's almost as if, she knows her thoughts and just does it.
"Thank you." Anna said politely and hugged the girl before her. She might be a year or two older than Lola, but the girl is smarter. Looks can really be decieving.
"Alright miss Sui, I think it's time to freshen up and step out. We have only thirty minutes to prepare for the after party and so far, you have wasted 10." He noted staring at his watch. Anna nodded and was about to walk away when she stopped in her track.
"Welcome to my world and life everyone, let's hope we get along to create the best work environment." Anna said and everyone cheered for her. She's totally different from how the media portrays her and they could all see it now.
Anna walked inside the bathroom and after 5min, she stepped out in her white robe. She has practiced the fast showering for years now, and has mastered them. But it only happens while she's working and needs to freshen up. When she's alone, she will always get her beauty bath.
Ashley led her to seat before the large dressing table as the glam team surrounded her immediately. They started with her hair and after drying it, the makeup artist started decorating her face all over again.
They only had 15 minutes to do something lovely, and so far they seem to be doing a good job. These are professionals, they would never make mistake and would always keep to time.
In no time, they were done with Anna's glam procedure and as always, she looked so beautiful. She is the star of the show tonight and has to look her best.
"It's a black and white party tonight, but you'll be wearing beige pink tonight." Ashley said. "A star has to always stand out. We don't follow procedures." He said staring at his nails.
Anna held the hem of her dress, to create space for her legs as she walked hurriedly through the halls. Ashley and Lola followed behind her as they walked away. This is her cue to escape, but not with both people around. With only Lola yes, but with Ashley, she couldn't jeopardize Noah and the entire Declan family image for nothing.
A lot of people already knows so much about her, the more people knows, the more information will be given to the public and she doesn't want that.
"The new team Lola, did they sign the NDA?" Anna asked. This is the reason she was yet to let so much people in her team. She doesn't want any information about her going out to the public ever again. Whatever happens to her, must stay with her. She wouldn't let the Nari mistake happen again.
Anna stepped out of the resort, there was already a limo parked just outside the resort waiting for her. "Did the other girls leave in a limo too?" She asked because this car seemed all too familiar. By now, Noah should be at his birthday location, there's no way his car is here to carry her.
"No, they all took normal cars." Lola responded staring at her. She had been the pioneer of the whole birthday surprise party, so why was she suddenly acting like it isn't Noah's birthday and they don't have a party to attend.
She found everything going on suspicious, maybe Noah hired a car for her to attend the event with. She thought. She hasn't gotten the chance to talk to him, he also didn't come to her room to tell her congratulations. She wondered if he was really proud of her for winning. She knew compared to Noah, winning a crown like this was nothing since he had so many things to his name, but for her little career, it meant so much for her.
Or is he mad at her for ignoring his birthday party?
Anna suddenly thought of an idea, she would attend her after party only for a short while and after that, she would sneak out and leave for Noah's party. They must all be waiting for her. She thought. She had thought of a gift for Noah, but Evelyn said he didn't really like anything and would appreciate whatever she got.
Anna was still so confused. Noah had everything he wanted, getting a gift for a man like that was almost impossible that is why she asked Paul for help. He's supposed to meet her at the surprise party and give her Noah's gift, but here she is attending her own party rather than Noah's.
The guard by the door opened the door for her to step in. But when she was about to step in, her eyes met a familiar grey ones and went wide. Anna froze by the door, staring at those eyes. "Are you stuck?" Came his deep voice and she stepped in. Anna found her seat opposite his.
She was right after all, the car belongs to Noah and he's here to pick her up. "Where's your mask?" She stared at him.
"Y... You're attending the after party?" Anna asked shocked herself. He was all dressed in black attire with a black mask on his face, concealing his identity. If she didn't know who he is, she would have never known it's Noah Declan.
"You need a partner to get into the party and here I am." He shrugged. Anna didn't say anything to that, she only nodded at his words. The guard by the door suddenly closed it and the car started moving immediately. She wasn't surprised Lola and Ashley didn't come with her, they had this planned with Noah. She should have known they would do this to her. She felt betrayed her own team and hubby.
"Are you still mad at me?" Noah asked. She had been mad at him today but not anymore. After their massage together, she didn't see the need to stay mad at him, plus today's his birthday. She had no idea what he was thinking, but she felt like this was not a good idea.
Noah doesn't like the media, yet he's willing to go through the stress for her.
"No." Came her short reply. "You don't have to come with me Noah I'm fine with Lola and Ashley." Anna said. She was really fine and understand if Noah doesn't come with her.
"Why wouldn't I?" Noah asked shocking her.
"I couldn't celebrate you tonight after your victory and now I'm not allowed to attend your after party?" He clicked his tongue feeling irritated. He has been this way since he saw that stupid body with his wife on that stage. The same stage he couldn't climb to congratulate her on because of his identity. He has been okay with it before, but right now, it just doesn't seem okay anymore.
"I couldn't even tell you how proud I am of you tonight. My beautiful wife being the best of the best. I'm honoured to be married to you my sweet girl." Anna blushed at his words.
"Stop flattering me Noah."
"Oh this is just the beginning. Only that I'm telling you the truth, not what you want to hear. Do you know how frustrating it is for me not to be able to flaunt my wife to the world?" He tapped the corner of his seat and she crawled to seat next to him.
"You don't also know how frustrating it is for me to not be able to flaunt my man too." Noah didn't give her head start and just pressed his lips on hers. "Noah my make-up." Anna tried to pull out of his kiss and he held her still.
"You'll still look good either way. Now let me kiss you." Noah said, gently pulling her close to himself.
