Yes she has Mack, but he isn't the richest anymore. He's no longer the best, neither is he the king of the media as he used to be. And there's no way in this world Mack will be able to dethrone Noah. The only way he would be able to to that would be if she wins tonight. That way, Anna Sui will never be able to speak before her ever again.
She clutched her hands till her fingers dug deep into her flesh as she stared at Anna with hate. Pure hate. That's the only thing she felt for Anna at the moment.
Anna was about to walk away when Nari spoke, "Goodluck on winning the show tonight." She laughed.
"Oh I will win trust." Anna said politely and then started walking away. She had given those two losers too much of her precious time when she should be planning her husband's birthday party for tonight. Even if she didn't want to win that crown before, she would make sure she does now because of Nari.
She didn't care if they would rig it, the public were voting already, and whoever they wanted is who shall win no matter how much bots they use in voting. As Anna walked away, she clashed with Kate who was also searching for Nari. The elderly woman lost her footing and fell to the floor.
"Can't you see where you're going, don't you have eyes?" Kate yelled at whoever had pushed her down. Anna quickly realizing it was her aunt, helped her up. "I'm so sorry aunt Kate." She quickly apologized. Kate got even more angry upon hearing her neice's voice, the girl she hated the most in her life. In all her life, she has never hated anyone as much as she hates Anna, she even hates her neice more than she did her mother.
Kate has refused to tell anyone why she hated Anna so much. Everyone knew she used to love Anna very much before, so why did she change all of a sudden.
"Can't you see?" Chan who was behind her asked.
"I swear I didn't see her..."
"Oh please you can drop the act now. We both know you pushed me done on purpose. Since when did you become so clumsy?" Kate asked her neice.
"I didn't push you on purpose Kate." Anna finally dropped the act like her aunt asked. And the woman scoffed. "You here that Channel? That's her true nature. This is the real Anna Sui, not the miss nice little thing you saw earlier. Now why did you push me down Anna, are you planning on killing me too?" Kate asked confusing the girl.
When she looked behind Anna, she didn't see the bodyguard Nari spoke about. The one who was always around Anna no matter where she went to. There was no one guilding Anna, who h means she's all alone and they can do with her whatever they want right now.
Kate smiled. They have her now. She would never let this girl win the show over Nari, she will never allow that.
"What are you talking about?" Anna asked staring at her aunt.
"Come on Anna, everyone knew you tried to kill your grandfather, stop feigning innocence."
"Does that even make sense to you? Why would I try to kill grandpa when I wasn't even in the mansion?" Anna laughed out loud this time. She knew her Aunt was stupid but she never knew she was this level of stupid. Trying to accuse her of hurting her grandfather because right now everything points out to her? She and Nari are the only ones who stays with the old man, so how did he get hurt under their care.
What Anna didn't know was that recently, Noah had hired a detective to investigate on the matter and a maid had already confessed that the only thing she remembers was Kate being in a heated argument with the general before he was found unconscious. It's obvious who did it. It's obvious who had tried to kill the general. Kate knows all fingers are pointing at her, so she wants to blame her neice in any way she can.
"It's alright Anna, you can stop pretending now."
"No. You should stop pretending. We all know you did it and you're looking for who to blame." Anna's words earned her a heavy slap that left her cheeks stinging for a few more minutes. She couldn't believe she was being accused to harming her grandfather, Kate wants her out of the family so badly, but why?
What has she done to deserve this harsh to treatment from her Aunt?
"I already made my findings you insolent child. A maid said you hired her to kill your grandfather, the same maid that tried to harm him. You should tell your husband to return everything he took that night, else, I'll lock him up." She started walking away.
Anna couldn't believe what she just heard. Noah never talked about taking any document, did he harm her grandfather? Was he the one? Why would a maid lie on her name? What really is going on?
"Anna, it's time to dress up for the first show." Lola approached but noticed the deformed shape Anna was in. She wondered what had happened, especially after seeing Kate and Channel walk through the same corridor just now.
"Are you alright?" She asked and Anna quickly nodded. She gave a reassuring smile, and even if Lola didn't ask more questions, she could see the red mark on her chin.
"Then let's go." Lola said and started leading her to the dressing room. As they walked through the resort corridor, Anna tried to forget what has just happened. She had a performance tonight, she needs be the best if she really wants to win tonight.
