Chapter 270 NOT THE FIRST FIGHT

Anna frowned as she stepped out of the museum. Her steps were quick as she wanted to be anywhere else than with Noah at the moment. "We've looked everywhere for you." Lola said panting as she approached both people. One minute they were standing in front of the fashion house as Noah instructed they bring the car, and the next minute they were not there anymore.
They couldn't tell where Anna and Noah wondered off to.
It's a good thing Lola recalled this museum as Anna had told her before she would love to bring Noah here. But seeing her now, she doesn't look so happy at all. Maybe they had a fight, she thought. Because while Anna frowned, Noah smiled behind her.
"The car is ready sir." Paul said quickly ignoring the drama brewing between his boss and his madam. He knew how it always ended up anyway.
Anna and Noah started walking towards the car, she was ahead of Noah as she walked quickly, till she was in. Lola and Paul glanced at each other before stepping inside the car. With Paul at the passenger seat and Lola next to Anna, the chauffeur started moving.
The car was dead silent as Anna's face didn't go back to normal anytime soon. Noah was hellbent on embarrassing her before Damien and he did. He had just one little job to do, just one job, pretend to be her bodyguard while she speaks to Damien but he failed. He kept bugging into their conversation, invading her life and almost expose them. She should not be angry at him on his birthday but she was.
After much contemplation, "Are you alright Anna?" Lola asked and regretted asking immediately.
"Of course, I'm already used to people embarrassing me wherever I go." She rolled her eyes.
"That's not embassment, it's creating boundaries you couldn't create." Noah said calmly staring out the window.
"If I created the boundaries you want, how would I improve my social life?" She barked unable to control the rising anger, but the man next to her didn't change his expression. He was still as calm as always.
"You have a social life?"_" Noah turned to meet her gaze and Anna's mouth was left hanging open. He doesn't know about her past, but from what he knows, Anna barely had any social life. She rarely attends celebrity events or parties, or throw some herself. That's why he wonders how she's able to climb so far before he met her. She used to be one of the best models in the country.
He has seen her a few times during social gatherings and events, but that was all. He never paid any attention to her.
"You don't even have a social life yourself." Anna retorted glaring at him. How dare he try to judge her when he's guilty of the same thing.
"Mine is way better than yours. I'm not a model or a celebrity." He shrugged and then continued, "You want to improve your social life with a man who's clearly flirting with you?" Anna met his gaze, his eyes blood shot, it's surprising how his mood turned from normal to gloomy in seconds, but the woman beside him didn't flinch one bit.
Lola who was seating next to the couple suddenly shrank in her seat.
"There are women to create social life with, well deserved women, not predators." Noah moved his hands through his hair. He swears the next time he sees that boy, he would kill him himself.
"I don't need your help to improve my social life, you have no right to decide my life." She rolled her eyes.
"Hmm, it seems you have to be reminded you're my wife and should not be seen with any other man except me." He sounded serious now and she trembled slightly. Even if Lola and Paul tried to distract themselves, they couldn't ignore both people fighting in the car.
"I'm still going for the party whether you like it or not." Anna finalized her words.
"You go and I'll kill that man with my bear hands and then maybe give you his head to hang out with. Maybe that would improve your social life better." He said calmly finally scaring the woman beside him and she turned to look at him in utter disbelief. Lola who had been seating so quietly froze too. She had seen Noah being so brutal with the man that drugged Anna, so she knew he would actually do what he say he would.
"You would do no such thing." Said Anna.
"Watch me." He smirked. "Now will you be the good wife and attend to your husband, today's my birthday, you shouldn't be stressing me." He ruffled her hair and she slapped his hands off her hair.
"I hate you."
"And I love you too my sweet girl." Anna sat in the car quietly, staring out Lola's side of the window.
Few minutes after their verbal fight, Anna received a text from someone and when she opened it, it was Evelyn stating they had arrived and where now at the beauty joint. Noah's family coming over to celebrate with him is one of the surprises she had for me. She noticed how distant he was from his family and wanted to bring them together.
"Take us to Bay Beauty." She said to the chauffeur and the man changed directions immediately.
"What are we doing there?" Noah asked as if he hadn't just threatened her with killing someone and giving her the head.
"It's a surprise Sugar." She smiled at him almost immediately. Noah is right, she had no idea why she wanted to attend Damien's party in the first place knowing Noah would not let her. But he shouldn't have embarrassed her that way before the man.
When they got to Bay Beauty, all four people stepped in. "Anna." Evelyn called and rushed to hug her daughter in law. They watched the live broadcast too since they heard Anna was a part of the competition and so far, she seems to be doing well.
"Mother." Anna hugged her back.
Noah who was behind his wife frowned on seeing his mother and other family here. He should have known Anna's surprise would be his family.
"Son." Lionel greeted his son, so did Vincent who walked up to his grandson to hug him.
"What are you all doing here?" Came Noah's question.
"Today's your birthday son, plus Anna's going to be crowned today." Lionel smiled.
"Since when do you care about my birthday?" Noah sounded serious. They made him hate birthday till this day, but here they are now acting like they've cared since the beginning.
"Don't be like Noah, we're your family and we're here to celebrate your birthday with you."
"I know I've neglected you in the past Noah. We didn't get to bond the way we should have because..."
"Sugar, it's time." Anna calle with a smile and Noah followed suit. Evelyn had just booked a couple private spa time for both of them. She had confessed about being so upset with Noah, but it's good Evelyn had calmed her down.
After their spa section, the workers there were leading them to another sector when they came across Nari and Mack stepping in too. Noah frowned on seeing the man. He recalled keeping someone in charge of him, so what is he doing here.
Mack has wanted to run when he saw Noah, but Nari held him back. After all, she's a Sui now, Noah wouldn't dare harm her husband or anyone related to her. She lowered her gaze a little and walked past both people.
Noah picked his phone and was about to make a call when his wife stopped him. "You can call tomorrow, tonight is your night." Anna said to see him nod as they started walking away.
They stayed in the beauty salon all day getting massages and other beauty things. By the time they were done, it was evening already. Lola arrived in the room where both people layed with their eyes closed. Anna had just an hour before the show and she also had a red carpet event to attend to before the show starts.
"Anna." Lola called calmly and Anna raised her gaze to look at her. "We have less than an hour to your red carpet show, we should leave now." Anna jumped up immediately. When did time go so fast. Just now they arrived and it's already time?
Noah who heard the muffled noises got up to to see his wife changing her clothes.
"What's going on?" He sat up.
"I have less than an hour to prepare for the final event and I'm already late." Anna rushed her words as she zipped her zipper and wore her shoes.
She hurried to Noah's side and kissed him before stepping out of the room. But when she and Lola arrived at the car sector, they realized all the tyres of the car had been deflected. Someone had burst all of their tyres.
Oh the devil really Wants her to miss her final show tonight. How would she meet up?
