Why didn't he think of these sooner. He would be in charge as always, especially now the general was not around.
"What?" Nari asked.
"You're desperate Nari and I can help you. I Have the contacts of the man in charge of the award sweetheart. You know that's my specialty, but what do I get in return of I help you?" Mack asked.
Nari couldn't believe it. Mack was right, he had been the one planning this award with her from the beginning before Anna destroyed their plans. They thought had everything under control but just when they relaxed, Anna struck.
"Why, you cannot help me even after everything I've done for you?" Mack asked.
"My mother Mack."
"I went against my both parents to keep you close Nari, why can't you do the same for me? I love you and you know it. You're the only woman I love."
"And Anna?" Nari paused as if realizing the other women seated beside her, both staring at her strangely. She would never let Anna win that crown, the crown belongs to her. She would do anything to make sure Anna doesn't win the crown even if she doesn't get it at the end.
"What about her?" Mack asked.
"I saw the way you looked at her that night. You were willing to have sex with her..." Nari blinked her tears back in. Even if she pretended not to be hurt that night, she was. She was indeed hurt by everything going on.
"That night meant nothing Nari, I was only acting before your mother. You saw the way she treated me, yet you couldn't stand up for me." He said.
"Marrying me used to be the one thing you looked forward to in the past, what changed?" He asked, his voice filled with pity which broke Nari even more. Mack Yong is a past she didn't want to remember yet here she is.
"Your mother doesn't have to know Nari, we could both get our marriage license today and then the crown is yours. Remember, you'll be labelled too old when the next diamond competition comes again, this is your one and only last chance."
"But you're far away from me." Nari said.
"I'll be there before the show starts. All I need is a little money to fly." Mack said trying to hide his excitement. It's always too easy to fool a desperate woman.
"I'll send everything to you." Nari hung up and texted Edward immediately.
'i want Mack Yong in Crownsville in the next two hours, make it happen. I'll send any amount you need.' She turned off her phone after the text.
Edward who received the message went to work and in no time Mack received a message about his flight. He hurried back home to pack his bags and prepare for his trip.
"Where are you hurrying to Mack." Veronica who was talking to the other women around her turned to her son. She had learned to mingle other low class women, the ones she thought were disgusting and roo local for her. She realized these woman have peace of mind and we're genuine people, unlike the rich people.
They were filled with drama and envy. Somehow, Veronica was glad she had met these few beautiful souls even if she hated the part of not having money.
Mack held his mother's hands as he took her away from the other women. "Pack your clothes and get ready, we'll be leaving this place soon." Mack said.
"What are you talking about? Have you found someone willing to help us?" Veronica spoke in hushed tone, so that the other women will not hear them.
"I have a plan and if it works we'll be out of here in no time." Mack said.
"But wouldn't Mr Declan find out about it. Don't forget he's blocked all ways for us?" She was worried for her son. He's the only joy she has at the moment she didn't want anything to happen to him.
"Not this one. He can't touch this plan, besides he's out of the country right now. I have left money on the table for you and father, please buy anything you need before I get back." Mack said to see his mother nod. She understood if her son doesn't want to tell her about his plans just yet, she would wait and see how things turn out.
Veronica bid her son a good bye before rushing into their little house to get the money Mack talked about, but when she got there her mouth hung wide open. It's been months since she saw this kind of money. Is Mack involved in any illegal thing? Veronica wondered as she stared at the money.
After Nari called her assistant, she had sent Mack a little money for his trip, but he gave some to his parents. They needed it more than he did.

Nari, Ava and Chan arrived in the fashion house and both stepped in. When they got in, Nari was surprised to see her mother seating there.
"Mother!!" She screamed and went ahead to hug Kate who hugged her back.
"How are you doing my dear?" Kate asked the girl before her and then her bright face turned all gloomy once again.
"Did you see the news?" Nari asked and Kate nodded. "That's why I did the interview, but it turns out that didn't work either. We have to get that girl before her husband arrives." Kate said. Stopping Anna from winning was all she had come to do, she would never let her neice win the crown over her daughter.
