"Was it that great?" She asked. She had been so embarrassed, who knew the person she considered an acquaintance would turn out to be someone else? Ava had shown her true colors.
Ashley led her through another turn as they approached a room. The room where Lacey sat waiting for the girl. As Anna and Ashley stepped in, she was greeted by the woman's stoic expression, and then all of a sudden, Lacey smiled.
Anna blinked to be sure she was seeing correctly. "Anna my darling, what an astonishing performance." Lacey walked up to her and hugged her. Judging by years of experience, Lacey was bigger than Anna, but when it came to all aspects of life, Anna was a million times bigger than her. And mostly because she's Noah Declan's wife.
If only these people knew who they were talking to. Channel who had only just discovered the news today stared at Anna in utter disbelief. She was still yet to believe that a girl as local as Anna, was married to such power. Yet, somehow, she didn't know how to enhance it. She didn't know how to utilize it.
With such power, she could get the crown without competing. Noah could just drop a couple of millions and a show could be organized where they would crown Anna the winner. But it seems the girl wanted to play fair and square.
Chan still wanted to believe Nari had lied to her, but why would Nari lie? She's not a child to lie to Anna.
"You did great tonight. Wow." Lacey remarked impressed by the girl. She had looked down on everyone tonight judging them by their appearance, but she was wrong. Every girl in there has embodied their piece very well. But Anna added spice to her walk. The drama and everything involved in her actions were unique.
Right now, Lacey is glad that she listened to Laura to make Anna the last act. The girl was good. So good.
"Your reward will be given to you later, but you would need to change your outfit and appear in the main hall for the final announcement," Lacey said for Anna to nod. After their talk, Ashley took her back to the dressing room where she changed her outfit into a more beautiful one before heading to the main hall.
All of the designers that had arrived wanted to speak to Anna but the security wouldn't let them. They all wanted a deal with her, especially with her being the hottest topic out right now. Everyone wanted her to model their designs so that they could sell as much as Lacey.
Without wearing the crown yet, everyone called Anna the diamond. They didn't need a competition anymore, could they give her the crown already?
Every girl stood at the podium as the love broadcast started again. The air seemed tense as everyone anticipated the winner of tonight's competition even if it was so clear. Chan stared at Nari in pity, they had told her not to put any effort before because they never thought someone like Lacey would ruin everything.
And who told Nari and Ava they should try to ruin Anna's performance? Rather than ruining it, they made the girl stand out again. She's now the most talked about, as everyone couldn't stop talking about her, Including the other judges seated beside her. She had tried to poison their minds against Anna, but right now, they all looked drawn to the girl.
Anna doesn't deserve all the love she is getting. The girl is just so good and it was so annoying. No human should be this good and should always mind their business. But they didn't know the secret of her attitude.
The grey eyes were sitting amid the crowd, his eyes on none other than his wife. He didn't like what had happened tonight, Noah was indeed pissed, but he let her fight. And so far, she seems to be winning.
"Welcome back after our little break everyone." Laura greeted and the crowd cheered again. Only a few people from the crowd had been allowed to watch the runway physically as the rest watched the live broadcast and we're still impressed by the extraordinary Anna Sui.
Anna's name has been changed from just Anna to the living goddess. The public believed no one could do what she does, she must be a witch or some goddess to be able to do the things she does.
"The votes are in and it's time to declare the winner." Laura began and the tension in the air rose. Even Anna who had performed very well was still very much scared for herself. She had put in a lot of effort to win today's competition. She really wanted to win to impress the man staring at her.
She couldn't wait to see him again, to hug him because she missed him so much.
"With me here are the votes for the quiz. Our very own Lacey here would be the one to announce the winner of her runway show and the prize." Laura announced and the crowd started clapping again.
"The winner of tonight's competition is..." Laura wasn't done when the crowd started chanting Anna's name.
"Anna!"
"Anna!"

She had been the best performer for the night. It's only right she wins the competition. The public was on her side, they wanted her to win.
"Annaaaaaaaaaaa." The crowd erupted as they rejoiced with Anna. It's almost as if she has won the crown already with the way they cheered with her. Anna's fans all over the world celebrated her victory both online and offline. Lacey and the rest of the judges clapped for her as she received her flowers.
Noah and Grace both smiled staring at her. But amidst the jubilations were people who were dying in silence. No matter how much Nari and Ava tried to smile, they just couldn't. They couldn't hide the anger than boiled in them.
Kate who was still in Summerlane decided to visit her daughter for the final victory. She was pissed that she wanted to be there herself to sabotage everything that was happening. She knew if she relaxed for even one second, Anna would snatch the crown away from her daughter.
