Chapter 254 THE FAILED MODEL

Even if she passed the quiz, her failure on the runway would automatically disqualify her from winning this competition. Their plans had worked.
When Ava told her about what Anna said, Nari immediately thought of a plan, she didn't want it to seem suspicious but at the same time, it would sabotage Anna since they couldn't harm her physically. Anna had ruined her chances of winning, it was her turn to ruin hers.
If she didn't win, Anna wouldn't win either. Everyone would see how much of a bad model Anna Sui is.
"I heard she fell, let's go see." The other girls ran to see the failed model, along with everyone else. Everyone knew Anna wasn't a newbie in modeling and should be better than them being that she's the face of Summerlane. But her performances were quite horrible.
What they didn't know was that the girl standing before them had memory loss. At first, Anna thought Noah was the only important thing missing from her memory, but she was wrong. She had forgotten Noah and a lot more. Things she used to know, a lot about her past.
The guest stared at the girl on the floor staring at nothing but the ceiling. Anna felt so embarrassed that she was unable to stand back up. She wished she could just varnish and maybe teleport to somewhere else, but she was still stuck to the floor.
"What is she doing?" Murmurs began among the crowd as everyone stared at her wondering if this was part of the show or just a failed catwalk. Anna could easily just leave the scene in shame and embarrass herself even more.
Noah frowned at this. Even if no one had seen it, he knew those two girls pushed his wife down. He wanted to stand up and help her, but Grace held him back. Anna is a known figure, not just a model, but an influencer and a soon-to-be actress. His help would spike rumors and bring unnecessary attention to himself.
She knew her niece wouldn't want that. Even Noah wouldn't want that either. He loved his wife so much, but there were some battles he needed to let her fight herself. And so far, Anna seems to be doing a good job. She had grown from a weak girl to a strong one.
Grace was more than proud of her niece. To her, whether Anna wins the competition or not, she'd still be the best model.
As the murmurs grew, Anna tried to stand but something kept her on the floor, as different flower petals kept falling on her face and body. She looked like a fallen archangel in the holy garden. Yet to frail and innocent.
A woman in the crowd got up to see her pose on the floor and she took pictures of Anna. It was breathtaking the way she laid. Everyone got up with the woman and started taking pictures too. And immediately, they all saw the girl rise, her dramatic expression was everything.
Slowly, Anna got up and started walking again, like a lost angel broken and disoriented and everyone started clapping. In their head, Anna was acting according to the script she was given and was doing it perfectly. But Anna knew she had failed.
The other girls hearing the crowd cheer for Anna all frowned. They had wondered how she would come out of this and she did, so effortlessly. Nari gritted her teeth. Just why couldn't this girl just give up already?
She has down everything, she's tried every trick in the book to make her fail, but somehow she still keeps rising. Nari could readily see her victory tomorrow. It is obvious Anna is going to be crowned. But that would be over her dead body.
Anna struck a few posses before the camera and the crowd erupted again. The best model to ever exist. Who could pull such stunts on a runway without looking like a failed model?
Only Anna Sui could do that.
Before she ended her walk, her dress alone had gotten more than a thousand orders. Everyone wanted the dress Anna wore. Both fashion icons and non-fashion icons.
"My God Anna, you did it." Ava rushed to hug her friend excitedly even if she was dying in misery. Now she knew what Nari was going through, this bitch was really so annoying.
Anna knew she wasn't dreaming and had clearly seen the menace on Ava's face when she pushed her down. She had been the one to push her with her shoulder. But how is she still smiling with her? Anna smiled back.
This bitch is playing mind games with her. It's obvious she hates her, but why is she pretending like she likes her? Well, two can play that game perfectly.
"Nari..."
"It's alright Ava, her karma will come," Anna said sweetly. She had trusted Ava and considered a friendship but who knew she didn't like her. She lied to her, told her to walk on the wrong side, and still has the guts to pretend before her. Maybe she would be lonely in the industry because it's always so hard to find genuine friends around.
It's always so hard to trust people because they make it hard every time. Every time she lets her guard down she gets hurt.
"Of course. I'm just glad you were able to still grace the floor and turn the show to another level." Ava said. Immediately Ashley rushed to Anna's side. "Come with me, Anna." He held onto her hands and he started pulling her away.
"Your performance was magnificent." Ashley and the rest of the crew had marveled at how outstanding Anna was. She might seem so weak when you look at her but she is something else when it's time for her performance.
