Chapter 229 LATE FOR BREAKFAST 1

Noah Declan was really out for them, and the funny part is that nobody knows he's the one behind it. Such a powerful man, yet before his wife he looks like a harmless puppy. Lola's eyes followed the girl sitting on her bed lost in her thoughts.
Anna's lips twitched from one angle to another as she thought of the task at hand. She used to have so many talents before, but how did she loose all of it?
"That can be said if I have any talent." Anna sighed. She wishes she really did remember even if it's a little 'cause right now, she isn't qualified to be a beauty queen at all. She's more like the ordinary talentless girl with a nice body playing dress up.
She could only see a little image of her holding those instruments but never her performing each key note like she used to. Maybe she could practice singing, but even she herself knows she can't sing. She was terrible at singing.
She would have to think of something else and she has to do that quickly.
"What do you mean?" Lola asked.
"I've forgotten everything I thought I knew and now I don't have any talent anymore." Anna said. She couldn't afford to win the first stage of the competition, not now.
"Was it after the accident?" She saw Anna nod.
"Don't get all worked up, we'll find something for you by morning. There's always something for everyone. Just tell me the things you knew before, maybe we can help revive your memories."
"I knew how to play a few instrument, including my native one." Anna said. Her grandfather made it a tradition that she learned music and everything about it from a very young age, it's sad she has forgotten all about it. Why does it have to be only the important once?
Anna started sleeping again and by the time she woke up the sun was already seeping through the window. She quickly jumped out of bed, "You're not late, no need to be worried." Lola said wearing her shoes.
"How many minutes do I have till our first gathering?"
"About an hour." With quick steps Anna was inside the bathroom. She quickly wore her dress and stepped out of the room ten minutes to the time with Lola who was walking behind her. Anna adjusted her hat and sunglasses that matches her beautiful sunflower dress.
Right now, she looked nothing more than a ray of sunshine.
"Where are we going to again." She turned to Lola who checked her cellphone.
"The dinning area meant for you all." Lola said. Where the hell could that be, she was already late.
The resort they stayed in was so big and beautiful. It reminded her of an ancient property in Summer Breeze, with its sprawling gardens and charming architecture. The serene environment made her momentarily forget she was in a competition. It looked like she was just on a vacation having fun.
She would definitely bring Noah here with her. As Anna thought of him, she smiled. She didn't think she would ever miss that man and their beautiful mansion but she did. She wished she could go back home, but Noah would not be proud of her if she returns without the diamond crown on her head.
She had promised him she would get it.
Thinking of her hubby, she quickly brought out her phone and texted him.
'Hey Sugar', Noah didn't take long to respond to his wife's text immediately. He had been too busy the previous night that he had forgotten to call her since Paul gave him the information she had arrived safely and he even watched a clip of her red carpet event that went viral the night before.
'My sweet girl', Anna smiled at his text, a pink colour forming on her lips. Lola who was walking beside her sighed. This two love birds, once they start, nothing in this world can separate them. She rolled her eyes.
Noah didn't send her another text, he rather video called her and she didn't hesitate to pick it up. "My sweet girl." He called when he saw her and the little cute paint he had caused on her face. The angel of his, she would always give this reaction whether he's around her or not.
"Good morning." Anna said bashfully. Just a few hours without Noah it already feels like eternity.
"How was your night?" He moved his wet hair to the back, water dripping down to his shoulder. Anna's eyes traced the water and she started imagining the things she shouldn't imagine for her knees to suddenly turn so weak. She shouldn't feel this way when she's far away from him.
It was evident Noah had just had his bath. "Are you alright?" He asked worriedly and she quickly nodded.
I... I'm late for an important event I'll call you later." She hung up before he could respond. Anna took in a deep breath and let it all out, before wiping the sweat that had formed on her head as she hurried to the dinning area.
The guards they placed by the door, opened it and she stepped in.
She was the last person to step in and the moment the door opened and closed, everyone turned to look at her.
Murmurs and silent whispers began among the girls as everyone stared at her.
While some were starstruck, others sent jealous glared her way.
One thing Anna knew how to do more than anything was steal a show, whether she tried to or didn't try at all. She moved with elegance to the empty seat next to Ava and sat there.
Anna was one of the few people in the world that didn't have any flaws. Skin as white as snow, the perfect figure and the perfect facial features every woman wanted. She was beautiful.
"Calm down girls." Laura clicked her glass with a spoon as she frowned at the tardy girl.
