She knows would have nightmares for weeks and never fly commercial ever again. She had been genuinely scared today, even if she had tried to be strong and tough, she wasn't, she wasn't at all strong for such experience. She thought her life would come to an end, and luckily, it didn't.
She could already imagine how in war the media back at summerlane will be because of her. Everyone would cuss her out and even insult her family too. They would call her every name known to man and judge her character.
But she did mind, it's not like they would be calling her things they have already called her before. Some might support her, especially her true supporters, and other would just keep cussing her out, especially the blogs Nari has paid to do so.
If one was to erase all the blogs she pays, Anna wondered if she would have real supporters. Everything about her life and career has been fake from the beginning. Most times she feels pity for her, and other times she knows Nari deserves everything she's going through.
She could already tell her Aunt was her number one supporter. Kate will get her karma soon and she will be that karma.
As they rode in silence, Anna's attention shifted to the road.
Crownsville is a really large city, filled with tall buildings, tall trees, vast street light, the best coffee shops known to man and many more. It was beautiful, with a warm atmosphere. There were truly places she would love to explore here.
Now she knew why the award show was being hosted here. Crownville looks so beautiful.
Anna's blue eyes followed the billboards on the street and then her eyes fell on a certain billboard. The one that had the image to a girl advertising a cream. What attracted her to the picture wasn't the cream, but the girls herself.
She reminded her of her upcoming days. The time where she thought the entertainment industry was the best place to be, till she was destroyed in the blink of an eye.
The industry isn't for the weak, it's a place where everything you see are all lies and illusions. Those men at the top can decide to take you down in minutes and they will.
You don't believe anyone and you have to be careful of what you do or say because it might come back to bite you. No one is truly your friend cause the same people that laugh and cheer with you, will be the same people to run away from you when you're involved in a scandal.
The women there are expected to sleep around with the heads to secure a position in the industry.
She had been too naive two years ago and let people play in her face. That time, everyone wanted to be friends with her, everyone wanted to be in her good Grace because she was Mack Yong's girlfriend/fiance until she was destroyed.
Mack's entertainment company had dropped her back then and made Nari, her assistant then to be the next top model. Nari had used her to gain popularity.
Anna called herself a fool and thousand and more times to not have suspected a thing back then. She had been so stupid not to see the signs even if they were right in front of her till the day she finally caught them.
"The carpet is starting soon, we have less than an hour to prepare you for the introduction party before the real task begins." Lola announced distracting her from her thoughts and she turned to look at her.
Lola had been watching her for some time now and even asked her something but Anna didn't respond. She had gotten to lost in her thoughts and her manager had to bring her back. She understood why she was that way. Anna is indeed so strong.
No one can go through half of the things she has gone through and still be so strong.
"Do you know what the task will be about?" Anna asked. She was a little nervous, she has never been to this kind of competition before. Though she has won several awards, she hadn't done competition for it. It was always the public votes.
"You would be on live broadcast for three days. Don't worry, the task isn't something you cannot do, you are talented." Lola informed and she smiled. Before becoming a full time model, she was a beauty queen, she knows everything there is to know about fashion.
She even made her dresses back then, and did her make ups, so doing it now wouldn't be a problem.
"How many girls will be there?"
"50 girls. According to the letter sent, elimination begins tonight for the girls who cannot make it in time." Lola said.
"When does the event start?" Anna turned more nervous. Lola had mentioned she was less than an hour late, there's no way she would make it if they go back to their hotel.
"The red carpet begins by four. The first judgement is punctuality and you red carpet choice of dress."
"Do they have a theme?" Lola shook her head.
"They haven't sent the theme yet, they said it will be sent 30 mins prior the red carpet event." That is barbaric.
How are they meant to prepare in thirty minutes?
"If we're this late, there's no need going to the hotel, we'll need to find a designer shop or something." Anna knew she wouldn't make it if they went to the hotel first. She'll just have to dress up in the car and arrive.
