The camera men, reporters, interviewers and many more, dressed in their finest attire, gathered to witness the introduction of the models. 50 people are to be introduced tonight, but one one person will be crowned next Diamond of the City, a competition that would determine the most dazzling model in the industry.
The one everyone would work with for the next five years. The next queen of modelling. Everyone wanted this award so badly, everyone wanted to be the diamond.
Models began to arrive, each one more stunning than the last, embodying the theme of the gala, "Celestial Wonders: Heavenly Bodies." They glided down the red carpet, adorned in shimmering fabrics, their outfits sparkling like constellations against the night sky.
Cameras flashed, capturing the ethereal beauty and elegance of each contender as they posed and preened for the crowd.
At precisely 3:55 PM, the atmosphere shifted as Nari made her grand entrance. All smiles and exuding bold confidence, she walked alongside her designer. Screams erupted from the crowd as many people in here recognized her even if she wasn't even from this city.
Nari had planned her entrance very well, she knew no one would be bold enough to arrive this late. Everyone wanted to be a part of the show, so they wouldn't dare. But she's already a part. She wanted her entrance to be so grand.
Nari's gown was a masterpiece—a flowing blue dress that seemed to capture the very essence of the theme, she looked like an angel in a light blue dress. The fabric glistened with the pieces of crystal scattered all over it like how the stars scattered in the night sky.
Her poise and grace commanded attention, and she radiated an air of assured victory.
Nari couldn't hide her satisfaction, knowing that Anna, would not be present. To her Anna must be so scared from the mob attack at the airport, especially since she didn't fly with them. She could almost feel pity for Anna, but she didn't.
She infact loved that her biggest rival could not make it.
The security men were ready to close the carpet as they assumed Nari was the last. But the a black Van arrived.
As Nari walked the red carpet, granting interviews with an easy charm, she was interrupted by a sudden, piercing scream from behind. She turned to see the source of the commotion and was stunned to see Anna making her dramatic entrance at exactly 3:58 PM.
Anna had arrived, seemingly unfazed and as stunning as ever, drawing gasps from the crowd.
Anna's appearance sent ripples through the crowd as every camera man, the reporters and interviewers swamped to her. Of course the crowd wouldn't just know Nari without Anna. Her supporters were already screaming her name from outside the carpet.
The ones that had flown all the way from summerlane just to see her were already ready to see her as they waved their flags. Never has the media recorded such huge support for a model as they did for Anna. Her supporters loved her genuinely and it is one things one cannot buy.
Nari's confidence wavered for a moment as she frowned. The competition had just taken an unexpected turn. Anna, despite the ordeal at the airport, had made it to the event, and her presence was a bold statement of grace and elegance.
Nari tried to maintain her composure but she was gradually losing it. She couldn't believe it. She hated that no matter how hard she try to get rid of this bitch Anna, she just somehow finds a way to come back. And she comes back better.
Anna is supposed to be depressed. She supposed to be home crying and watching her win the award from her room. That's all Nari wanted. For Anna to pay for everything she's done to her. For Anna to be destroyed.
She had spent so much money and time setting the mob for Anna, only for her plans to fail so badly. It seems she's the one going into depression at the moment.
Draped in a white floral gown that flowed like a cloud, Anna looked every bit the angel descended from the heavens. The delicate floral patterns, carefully crafted from the finest fabrics, added an ethereal touch to her dress, making her seem almost otherworldly.
The dress sparkled under the lights, each petal catching the glow.
Walking beside her was Joanne Saint, the most celebrated designer in the city, whose reputation for creating masterpieces had attracted celebrities and fashion icons alike.
"Anna Sui, Anna please look this way." The cameramen called out as everyone clamored to capture a photo of her. There was no doubt Anna was beautiful, and anything she wore came alive. Already a fashion goddess in Summerlane, winning this award would only cement her status forever.
"Anna Sui, we saw the viral livestream of a woman being chased by an angry mob. Was that you?" a reporter asked. Anna smiled.
"Anna Sui, we know about your past history as a clout chaser. Did you plan everything that happened?" another reporter questioned. She maintained her composure, refusing to say a word. Lola had trained her to ignore certain things before they escalated.
"You should ask about my dress and how the designs came about." Anna said with the brightest smile on her face.
"Well, the person running in the news is not me and that is all I can say." She walked away with Joanne.
After the red carpet event, the live stream started were all of the 20 remaining models in attendance were asked to move to the main hall.
"And the last model of the night, "Anna Sui." The host said as Anna walked into the hall to seat next to Lola.
"You did great." Lola whispered and she smiled.
