"You'll talk to her some other time, right now we have something important to attend to." He held her hands as he led her out of the mansion. The general was already waiting for their arrival, Anna and Noah stepped into the car with Lola who had also been waiting too as they left.
"What's going on?" Anna whispered next to Noah's ears. She didn't know why she was suddenly so scared about all of these. Something was not right and she had no idea why.
"We'll reach the mansion to get your aunt before we leave."
"What's going on Noah?" Anna asked again, her heart pounding so hard. She couldn't think of anything but she knew something was up.
"Your grandfather got into a little accident and is in the hospital right now." Anna's heart skipped at his words. Her grandfather? What the hell is Noah talking about?
What accident is he talking about?

"What do you mean he was here? Who invited him?" Kate yelled at Bean, glaring at him as she placed the useless documents back in the drawer. She had given simple instructions, 'Don't do anything, don't let anyone into the mansion until I'm back.' Were her instructions so hard to follow?
Why was Noah even here?
The Declans were having a dinner party; there was no way he would come on his own. Someone here had called him, but who?
Bean remembered Noah taking the documents and saying it was the right thing to do, he wondered what documents they are and why Kate was so upset.
"How did that boy get here, Bean?" Kate asked furiously, staring at the butler.
"I... I."
"Did he come in here too? Did he take any documents from this room?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am." Bean said not daring to meet the gaze of the furious woman who looked like she could strangle him right now. Kate's breathing turned shallow, her face turning so red. He was sure if he had extra eyes he would have seen invisible smoke evaporating from her head as her nose flared in anger.
Noah had destroyed all of her plans. She hadn't seen her father's will yet, but she knew he had willed everything to her niece. There was no way she would let Anna inherit everything, no matter what. Her body shook.
"What's the problem, Mother?" Nari, who thought she had broken the internet with her little mysterious message and picture, had gone straight to her room to change the moment they got back. Kate had talked about putting her A game by acting all sad and crying before their relatives who would arrive to sympathize with them.
She had thought Kate was already crying to their relatives about the General's death, but when she arrived in the lounge, she realized there were no relatives and Kate was yelling at the workers. Bean along with his maids.
"Bean here was just telling me Noah Declan was in this mansion last night and had taken your grandfather to a hospital along with important documents," Kate said through gritted teeth.
Nari's eyes widened in shock. "Noah Declan? Why would he come here?"
"I know that man does not come here unless his wife is here. Anna was at the party last night."
"This is a disaster." Nari said.
"Someone must have called him, and now he's taken your grandfather to the hospital. He'll know everything soon, and that will make things even more complicated." Kate clicked her tongue. No one knew a thing about it unless the general wakes up himself or this stupid butler says anything which he wouldn't dare. She'll make sure she isn't the only one going down. Bean must go down with her.
Bean, looking thoroughly intimidated, stammered, "I... I don't know who called him, ma'am. He just showed up and insisted on seeing the General. There was nothing I could do to stop him." He lied, hoping it would be enough to convince them.
He couldn't just stand to see the general die the way they wanted. He didn't care about their family feud but he will do everything to keep the general alive. That old man has been more than generous to him. He was grateful for everything he has done for him.
Kate's fury simmered as she tried to think. It was obvious Noah knew about the will and he would do everything to ensure his wife received her inheritance. Her blood boiled at the thought. She would never let it happen; she would rather destroy everything than let Anna get any of it.
She could claim those documents Noah had were forged. The media had seen the publications about Anna being disowned from the family; she would use that against them. Her only problem right now was Grace. She would have to make her sister disappear if she tried anything stupid.
Kate couldn't let her father survive if she ever wanted her plans to work. She needed to get to the hospital first and do what was necessary.
"Nari, come with me. Let's pay your grandfather a visit," Kate said, her voice cold and emotionless. She didn't like the way things were going, right now she needed to be very careful with whatever she was doing.
As she and Nari started walking out of the general's office Kate noticed a few known faces stepping into the mansion. She turned to Bean who explained, "I called your relatives as instructed, I had no idea we wouldn't be needing them anymore." Bean explained.
He still couldn't tell how things went this bad. From a little money issues they could all resolve to murder in the mansion. He wanted to save his madam so bad but she is already so gone that he doubts she could still be redeemed ever again. Noah was right, Nari's presence in their family has destroyed a once peaceful family completely.
And here she is acting like an innocent person. Seeing the strange faces, Nari went into acting.
"Kate, how are you feeling? We heard what happened to Gabriel."
