Chapter 203 HE'S ALIVE???

1012words
When Noah had gone through the documents he took from the General's office, he had seen his wife's name boldly written on them. He had his suspicions, but he didn't want to think that far.

The General had not done wrong, but he hadn't done well either. Not giving his daughters a dime in his properties—what was he thinking? Setting his wife as their next target?

Instigating family fued and conflicts, was that his plan before he would die?

He clicked his tongue unable to hide the disdainful look on his face. He knew one thing for sure, he would never let Kate lay her hands on his wife. He wouldn't mind dealing with her himself this time if she does.

Their black limo arrived at the entrance of the Declan's grand mansion. Beth didn't waste anytime and stepped out of the car the moment the guard opened the door.

Cara couldn't shake off everything she had seen with Noah and Anna. The bitch was really showing off Noah like he's hers before her and she couldn't hide her jealousy as she glared at Anna too.

Helping his wife out of the car. Noah contemplated whether to tell her yet about her grandfather's accident or not, but he knew he had to. He had decided not to hide anything from her ever again, especially after what happened before.

"Welcome back, Master and Madam," the butler of the mansion greeted with a deep bow as all five people started walking into the mansion, including Lola, Anna's manager. They hadn't gone directly to their mansion but decided to drop Beth and Cara off.

When they arrived, Anna had insisted on greeting his parents since she didn't get to spend time with them last night.

She felt bad they had hosted a party for her and she couldn't attend. "After this, we're going to the hospital for a check-up," Noah said. He needed to know what drug they had used on his wife and wanted to be sure there was no residual drug in her system.

Anna nodded. As they walked into the mansion, Evelyn and Lionel were already waiting in the lounge which was so unusual. Vincent who had only just heard about everything that happened to his daughter in law from his son was furious.

"Anna, dear, how are you feeling now," Evelyn asked worriedly as she walked up to her daughter in law, hugging her tightly.

No matter what Anna is now a part of their family, and the woman Noah holds dear to his heart. She has never seen him care for anyone as much as he cares for Anna, and for that, she was special to the family too.

"Better." Came Anna's response as she smiled at the woman. Even if she's barely spent time with Noah's family, she knew they cared about her as much as she did for them.

"I'm glad you're okay." Lionel hugged his daughter in law. He had been guilty his father had to take her parents away from her from a very young age, and even if she had her grandfather, he knew she would miss her parents too.

From the grand stairs, Cara could see how much the Declan's cared about Anna. She had walked in earlier yet no one acted like anyone walked in. But when Anna came in it was different, they all surrounded her like she's some big shot.

Cara felt so jealous. She once was in this position when everyone thought she would be Noah's bride, but it's unfortunate he had picked someone else over her. Someone who was not worth it even after seeing her nakedness.

Cara wasn't ready to move on as she still believed Noah is meant to be hers. Lovers are always like this. First they hate each other so much and then all of a sudden, they fall in love and be together forever. That how she imagines her love with Noah would be and she would not let anyone come between them.

She glared at Anna and at the people who pet her like a kid. Beth who saw her friend stop moving, placed her hand on her shoulder as she pat it gently. After last night's failed plan, Beth didn't think she wanted to continue with this nonsense anymore. Her bother is already married, and for the first time, Noah looks genuinely happy.

It was clear to everyone he was in love with his wife just by his looks. He stared at her the way she stares at her diamond bracelet. He cares so much about her and gifts her the most expensive things.

"It's okay." Beth whispered next to Cara's ears and it seemed like her words only ignited her friends anger as Cara started walking away without a word to her or anyone else.

"Did you find out who did it?" Vincent asked his grandson.

"Not yet, but we're working on that."

"Come with me boy." Vincent called his grandson as he started walking away. His third leg clicked on the floor with each step he took. Both men started climbing the stairs as they went away from the people in the lounge.

"This is why I wanted to be at the party but your mother insisted I stayed back home. I would have kept my eyes on my daughter in law." He said furiously.

"She did it for your good." Noah said to hear his grandfather click his tongue. Age had done a good number on Vincent, if he was still as you g as before, he would not let anyone play with his daughter in law this much. He knew Noah was trying, but there's still so much he has to learn.

"It's enough we have lost one of us Noah. I'm pretty sure he would have looked so much like me." Vincent said and Noah frowned. He didn't want to be reminded about the child they had lost.

"Only a fool repeats the same mistake twice, I don't want anyone harming my daughter in law ever again."
