Chapter 197 SHE'S REGAINING HER MEMORY 2

1052words
The room was suddenly silent as no one dared say a thing. The ones who had no idea about it were too shocked to speak and the ones who knew tried to pretend.

Noah's careful gaze fell on his suspects, his eyes scanning their reactions even if they gave nothing away.

"If I hadn't returned when I did..." He paused, staring at his sister. It just dawned on him. Beth had been the one to give him a room, stating that area was isolated from the rest. So why did he see a man there?

Did his sister drug his wife?

"Did you employ extra servants for the event, Father?" Noah turned to his father, who had been invisible till now. His eyes lingered on the man. He wasn't one to lay false accusations on people without evidence, so that when he gave his punishment, he punished the right people.

Everyone knows he doesn't play about his wife, but they still try to tempt him. They still try to hurt her over and over and over again, testing his patience and pushing him to the edge.

"I don't think we did. I left Chalamet in charge of that," Lionel said to his son, watching him nod. Noah just wanted to find out who had drugged his wife. It was obvious someone had given the drugs to one of the servants who then gave it to her. All he had to do was find the servant, and he'd be able to trace the culprit.

Kate and Nari shifted uncomfortably in their seats as they stared at Noah. They feared Anna would remember they had both dragged her into his room to set her up. But if Anna remembered who did it, she would have said something to Noah by now.

If the man hasn't suspected them yet, then they have nothing to worry about.

Early this morning they had both sent Mack back to the slump he came from since he couldn't do his job. Kate was angry her plans had not work, she had almost succeeded last night. Anna was hers to use the way she wanted. She didn't know what this boy was doing at that sector, who had called him.

Kate drank from her tea cup as she stared at Noah. "I hear your son own an entertainment company?" Kate asked Evelyn initiating the conversation.

"Yes, and the biggest." Evelyn said proudly. "Noah did even say a word about it, it's quite unfortunate we heard it late." She added with a smile. One thing Evelyn would never miss doing even if she hadn't been the best mother to her children was speak about how wonderful and successful they both are in their field of study.

While Noah owned multi million and billion companies, Beth is a successful pilot. Though she has decided to retire herself and just fly her father's jet a few times.

"That is wonderful, I've heard a few things about it." Kate said with a bright smile.

"My daughter here. Nari, she's a beautiful young lady and the countries top model." Kate started the introduction and Nari smiled coyly. She wasn't actually shy, it's just her way of seeming so genuine, since she already had an innocent face, it wasn't hard for people to love her.

"That's so lovely." Evelyn said smiling at the girl. She was beautiful, and looked so gentle and kind.

"Yes. Since we're talking about entertainment company, the public had been mean to my daughter because of a little misunderstanding with Anna, I would be delighted if she's a part of Me Declan's entertainment company." Noah smiled at Kate's words. It's the first time Cara has seen him react to something and she glared at Nari.

"You see we have been looking for the best entertainment company for Nari and think Eclipse will be the best." Kate continued.

"Nari is Anna's sister isn't she? You can have this discussion with Anna, we're only here to have breakfast not discuss business." Evelyn sounded as polite as possible. The nerve these people have, after everything they did to her son and daughter in law. Just because she decided to be accommodating doesn't mean they are now one family.

"B... But Anna isn't the owner of..."

"Says who?" Noah responded this time shocking both women. Nari couldn't hide the shock that her mouth was left hanging open. She couldn't believe what she just heard. Anna Sui, the owner of Eclipse entertainment?

But no article was published about it. Not even the legit news blogs carried it. Nari felt so jealous. She should be her. If their plans had worked last night, she would be in Anna's position right now, owning everything she owns.

Nari gritted her hands under the table that she hadn't realized her fingers had dug into her flesh. How did Anna have such luck?

If it isn't for Anna, she wouldn't even be seating with people like the Declan's. One moment Anna was engaged to Mack and dumped horrendously and the next, she was married to the richest man in the country. Noah Declan.

In less than three months, Anna has become the country's top model, the new face of the country. She owns her own entertainment company, not just any entertainment company, but the biggest in the country right now. She owns the biggest beauty brand and is meant to cast as the lead role in the upcoming movie, which is already tagged as the biggest movie of the year.

Anna had used less than three months to achieve things Nari could only dream of. Nari couldn't forget the diamond necklace Noah had bought for half a billion for his wife. She had seen Anna wear the necklace just once before it was auctioned to someone else for charity.

Nari was furious. She couldn't let things go one like this for so long. If she did, she would be in Anna Sui's shadow for the rest of her life. She licked her tea cup gently and took a sip.

She knows she has to come up with another plan.

"How is Anna doing now Noah?" Evelyn asked.

"Better. She remembered a few things today." Three bodies on the table tensed as they listened to Noah.

Does that mean Anna was regaining consciousness?
