This woman could ignore him all morning and give him attitudes, but cannot attend a little dinner party hosted for her?

Where the hell did all that confidence go?

He stared at her as he took another long drag and let it all out slowly. Her blue eyes stared at him innocently and he could already imagine her request.

"Noah..." She started, biting those cherry lips that drives him crazy everytime.

"No." Noah said without letting her say a word. Anna stared at the man in disbelief, unable to comprehend that he would turn her down the moment she needed him the most.

"No one would notice." She defended her request even if she has yet to say a thing to him.

Noah shook his head, his expression unwavering. "They will, everyone knows who you are. Plus, I just found out Father did this to use your fame for the publicity he needed for his new yacht business." Noah dropped the cigarette on the floor and stepped on it, done smoking for the night.

"He didn't pay for it," Anna said, a hint of bitterness in her voice.

"Hmm, but I'll get your money. He isn't as sleek as he thinks he is," Noah smiled. Anna brushed it off. Her father-in-law using the fame Noah had helped her achieve was the least of her problems.

She wanted to get rid of the anxiousness and surprisingly, talking to Noah had helped shake off her nervousness a little.

"I... I should go now." She said to her hubby who dismissed her with a wave of his hands.

Anna took a deep breath, turned, and started walking away, leaving Noah standing there. She got into the speedboat, and as they headed towards the yacht, the soft music grew louder. The closer they got, the more apparent it was that everyone was already enjoying themselves.

She glanced back at Noah, who remained behind, his back was now facing her as he spoke to two men in black attire. She couldn't make out their faces clearly because of the distance. She wondered what they were talking about.

Why Noah had chosen to stay back, but she was already here and needed to face the evening.

As she stepped onto the yacht, the festive atmosphere enveloped her. Laughter and conversation mingled with the gentle strains of music. The guests, adorned in their elegant masks, moved gracefully across the deck, lost in their revelry.

Anna took a deep breath, steadying herself as she quickly wore her mask. Photographers snapped photos of the glamorous attendees, their flashes lighting up the night. Her eyes scanned the crowd for her Aunt Grace, but she was nowhere to be seen. Grace had come ahead, and Anna had hoped to convince Noah to accompany her, but that plan had fallen through.

"Miss Sui?" A large man in a black suit approached her, and she nodded, acknowledging him. According to Noah, this was supposed to be a small celebratory party with friends and family, but Evelyn had somehow transformed it into an elite ball. That was likely why Noah had ditched her and run off.

That cunning man, Anna thought, a small smile forming on her lips. Did he hate parties?

She knew this was going to happen, but she never thought they would throw such an extravagant party on a yacht.

Anna had never been on a yacht her whole life. Despite coming from a wealthy family, they weren't the kind that explored such luxuries.

"Yes," she responded to the man.

"Please come with me. Lady Evelyn is waiting for you." This was the Declans' first open party where unknown paparazzi and photographers were in attendance. They could take pictures of anyone at any time, which was why they had made the party a masked one.

The guard led Anna through an open space and inside the yacht where the music was coming from. The further they walked in, the bolder the soft sound became. When they reached an open space, they both stepped in.

Anna was greeted by the presence and faces of prominent men and women in society. Their identities were all covered by masks, but she recognized a few, especially the celebrities she had worked with in the past. She wasn't the only public figure invited; Noah had told her it was to blend the party. If the Declans invited her alone, that would raise eyebrows.

The room was filled with elegance and opulence, the guests mingling and conversing under the soft glow of the chandeliers. The music, now louder and more vibrant, added to the lively atmosphere.

Tables and chairs were arranged and decorated from one end of the room to another in another open room. Anna followed the guard quietly till she was standing before Evelyn Declan's who's face lit up the moment she saw her daughter in law.

She loved Anna like a daughter now, and could already see her younger self in the girl since she loved the things she like when she was her age. Evelyn can be two things to people, the proud and rude filthy rich woman, or the beautiful and caring mother which she hasn't been more than half of her motherhood life.

"Anna." Evelyn greeted with the brightest smile and Anna smiled back. "You look so gorgeous." Evelyn said.

"You look even more gorgeous yourself." Anna said her eyes shifting to the girl who sat next to her mother and rolled her eyes.

She shouldn't be sitting here but Cara was yet to arrive. She hopes her friend could make it so that everything they have planned for the night wouldn't go to waste. Anna stared at Beth and the girl stared back at her, both ladies exchanging subtle glares.

They hated each other and they didn't bother hiding it.

"Where is Noah?" Evelyn asked looking around. "He said he'll be here soon and that I should come this way." Anna said to see her mother in law nod.

Maybe they aren't as bad as she thought they are, she had no idea why she was so nervous earlier. Maybe it isn't because of them, maybe it's because she hasn't attended parties in a long time.

"A drink for the beautiful lady." A waiter approached her flashing his tray of different drink in front of her. Anna who had been absent minded until now picked a glass from the tray.

"Are you sure you want that one?" She froze at the voice of the person. When she raised her head to look at the person he was wearing a mask. But beneath the mask, she could see it was Mack Yong.
