She couldn't believe the Sui's had gone broke overnight. She couldn't do any of the things she wanted to do, she couldn't go for her movie shoot today because of how broke they have become. She couldn't begin to imagine how the people there would treat her when they see the news.
This news has made her miss her shoot today. She knew George would be angry with her, but she would find a way to apologize to him.
Nari gritted her teeth at the thought of it. Her reputation was on an eggshell. The reputation she has managed to build back again.
"And to think your grandfather has gotten so weak. Can you believe he wants to make amends with the Declan's?" Kate was yet to believe it. Rather than blaming Anna for everything as usual, her father had placed the blame on her.
Kate was the female version of the general, they can never take accountability for their actions. They would make others suffer if they could just so they dodge from their responsibilities.
"Mother, we both know Anna is very manipulative. She has managed to turn aunt Grace against us and now grandpa too?" Nari sighed as if concerned. When she came here she had thought it wouldn't be easy to break the family apart, but it seems they were already broken before she even had the chance to do it.
"Oh don't worry we'll get everything back. It's only a matter of time."
"We have a dinner party with the Declan to attend this evening Nari, prepare for it." Nari's eyes brightened as she stared at her new mother.
"They've invited us for Anna's welcoming dinner party." Kate said nonchalantly without noticing the slight difference in Nari's expression. She felt jealous instantly.
The party was in honour of Anna, while the general had refused to host her own introduction party to let everyone know she is now a Sui.

"How did the meeting go?" Noah asked his wife, his lips assaulting her skin making her shiver. Seeing her in this room like this with this man, no one would believe she was the same Anna who just put George Borne in his place.
Before this man, she loved being the sweet innocent Anna. Noah treats her like a boneless woman and she loved it. She loved that he did everything for her.
"It went well." He raised his head to look at her, his eyes narrowing. He quickly placed her on the table and a gasp escaped her lips.
"N... Noah." Anna called with wide eyes as she quickly pressed her legs close.
"Tell me why you're here." Noah leaned on his chair as he watched her.
"M... My father called." Anna blinked many times trying to stop her racing heart. Noah's intimidating gaze made her heart beat faster than usual and she couldn't tell why.
"What did he say?"
"That you did something to them and now there's news about bankruptcy everywhere." His expression suddenly turned cold as he stared at her.
"Does your face still sting or your covered it with make up?" He asked.
"I'm not talking about me I'm..."
"It's just for twenty four hours." Noah said nonchalantly riding from where he sat as he started walking out of the room, Anna quickly jumped down from where she sat and followed closely behind him.
She didn't understand why he would go this far to harm her family. She couldn't take it. Even if her aunt had slapped her, she caused it. If she hadn't said those provocative things to the woman she wouldn't be here now.
"Just 24 hours? It's my family we are talking about Noah." Anna reminded him just Incase he has forgotten.
"I know." Noah lazy voice was heard as he dipped his hands in his pocket. "That's it?"
"We have a dinner party to attend to my sweet girl, them being broke just for a day will not kill them. They should know not to mess with what's mine next time." He said giving no room for any more argument.
Anna sighed frustratedly as she followed behind him. She felt like hitting him but even she knew she couldn't.
"My grandpa didn't touch me, it's only my aunt." She tried to explain.
"Why didn't you tell me when you got back?" If he hadn't tried to kiss her, he would have never seen the mark on her face. Thinking about it again made his blood boil. No one had the right to hurt what was his, no one.
"Because I knew you would do this." Both people got into the elevator.
Once the door of the elevator was closed, Noah pulled Anna to himself only to trap her against the wall. "You don't know how crazy I can get when it comes to you. I don't care if it's your family or mine, anyone who tries to harm you will face the consequences." Noah declared causing her heart to skip a beat.
He has let things slide for too long and right now he didn't think he could take it anymore. Not even from her family.
Seeing Anna for two whole weeks fighting for her life angered him. Though he was yet to find the person who did it, the Shen's were paying for it already. He didn't know why they were protecting whoever had tried to kill his wife.
"I love you much to let anything happen to you my sweet girl. I very much don't mind killing anyone who hurts you." He let her go.
Anna had nothing to say to him, she just stared at him with bright red cheeks. No one has ever tried to protect her the way this man did. He was willing to destroy her family for her sake.
But isn't that going too far? Why did Noah hate her family? Did anything happen before the accident? Anything her aunt her left out?
