He let her be, he could handle her little stubbornness. It was nothing to him. He watched her apply red lipstick, adding a touch of cherry gloss that made her lips glisten like ripe cherries. Noah felt an overwhelming urge to kiss them. He knew they would taste just as he was imagining.
His wife had a knack for sweet lip gloss before he even met her and he always wondered why.
As she finished, Noah leaned against the doorframe, his eyes never leaving her. "You know," he started, his deep voice steady and seductive in the quiet room, "you always manage to surprise me, my sweet girl."
Anna glanced at him in the mirror, her blue eyes meeting his grey ones. She wanted to say something but recalled she was still very angry with him and stayed quiet. He had to know she doesn't play with her family but to Noah, her family needed to know he does not play with his wife.
He has let things slide for too long. He has taken different bullshits from people who are not worth his time. Noah pushed himself from the door frame as he found his way deep into the closet to find a nice outfit.
It was only this evening the president of Linco entertainment called him apologizing for whatever George Borne must have done. He pleaded over and over again saying that they had fired George. The only reason they kept him was because of their long term relationship with his father, but George had grown to become a menace in the industry.
A clown to young girls. He was doing too much, but this time he had stepped on the tail of a tiger. This woman was a cat by morning and a destructive tiger by night and he loved her.
Once Anna finished her makeup, she wore her jewels and picked a bag from her bag collection. She had more than enough item that she didn't want to use anymore and was still deciding what to do with it. She had thought of doing a resale on it, but Lola had advised her to do a charity organization. It'll make the public see her in a good light.
Anna stepped out of the closet once she was done dressing. She turned on her phone only to be greeted by the news about George Borne. Lola had released everything they had planned exposing the evil of the man.
The whole city bashed him, people laid curses on him. She smiled as she stared at her phone. This is her revenge. She would never let anyone mess with her again. It was time people realize she's not the same Anna Sui of before, she's a new Anna now.
Not the little cry baby that had let Nari and Mack play with her and destroy her career.
"It's about time you came out, we're already thirty minutes late, where's your husband?" Grace who was sitting in the lounge waiting for her neice and her husband said in hushed tone. She was dressed in her green dress, the one Noah had bought for her. Her body was adorned with her green jade jewel.
Grace looked so different tonight, beautiful and elegant. "You look so gorgeous aunt Grace." Anna said to see her aunt blush. It wasn't everyday she gets to dress up like a doll, tonight was exceptional, especially since they were celebrating a new life for her neice.
"You're looking even more beautiful Anna, stop flattering me." Grace said bashfully.
"I guess I took after the best then." Anna went to seat next to her aunt as both women smiled and talked. As always, they would only talk peacefully for a while before she gets scolded again for being a bad wife.
"How did you leave your husband in the room and you're here." Grace began scolding her neice. Anna bit her lips, she didn't know whether to tell her aunt she both she and Noah had an issue or not.
He had made her family broke for 24 whole hours. "W... We have little unsettled issue." Anna said so that her Aunt could stop scolding her. Grace eyes went wide at her neice's words.
"What happened? Did he try to harm you?" She checked her neice's body for any signs of injury even if she knew Noah would never do anything to harm Anna. She didn't know the man so much or where the hell Anna had found him before marrying him, but she knew he loved her neice better than Mack ever did.
That is one of the reasons Grace loved him at first sight. She knew every relationship had it's ups and downs, it could get really bad to the point of both couple exchanging blows and she had thought her neice had been in that kind of unfortunate situation.
"No, Noah wouldn't do that." Anna said. He was trying to protect her from her family like they are bad people while hurting them too. It was time she made Noah know that her family are not bad people.
They may not like him, but they will never hurt her. They'll never harm her. Maybe they had a little misunderstanding now, but they'll settle in no time she was so sure of it.
"So then why are you two fighting?" Grace asked feeling confused.
"Didn't you see the news?" Anna asked staring at her aunt. The woman's face contoured as she thought about it. She had been online but she didn't see any abnormal thing. "No." Grace answered.
"Grandpa called me this morning and I realized Noah had made them go bankrupt for 48 hours." Grace eyes turned wide.
