Chapter 178 DINNER PARTY 1

Anna finally stepped out of the car when she reached the Declan Group organization. She let out a heavy sigh as she stared at the proud building standing so tall before her. The glass facade reflected the morning sun, creating a shimmering beacon of corporate power. There were a few people moving in and out of the building.

As she adjusted her sunglasses and smoothed down her elegant dress, and removed her nose mask contemplating whether to keep it on or just take it of. After standing there for a while still trying to decide, she wore it back. Anna picked her purse and started walking towards the building with the guards that had arrived with her.

She has never been to an organization this big before, she wondered if she did before the accident. Even if she did, the people in here did not know her as Noah Declan's wife. Infact to the public, the man was as single as any other single man around. It's not like anyone knew of his true identity.

Until she found herself married to him, she had no idea who he was or what he looked like.

"Welcome to De-Declan." A woman came by her side the moment she stepped in glancing at the two bodyguards calculatively.

The woman had a tag on her dress which had, 'Zibal', written on it. Everyone in here fought and tried the fish out new investors everyday, the more investors your register the higher you pay.

"Zibal is it?" Anna asked to see the woman nod gently with a bright smile. "Yes I am, may I know what you're here for madam?" Without waiting for Anna to respond she started, "You see miss, De-Declan group is an organization..."

"I'm here to see Noah Declan." Anna said cutting her and the woman's eyes turned wide. She sized the masked girl with her eyes. She was with two huge guards, her dress was pretty decent which meant she was someone of importance, but they've never seen a woman visit Noah Declan before, unless his mother or sister, or the notorious Cara that had been band from visiting.

"Please let us handle this madam." One of the guards said quietly, just enough for her to hear and Anna let him. She didn't have the strength to argue with anyone at the moment, she was already exhausted from everything that happened with George Borne.

She watched her guard take Zibal to a corner to speak to her but Anna was far from being in the mood to wait. She didn't care what anyone had to say as she started walking towards where she thought to be Noah's office.

"Miss Sui, Mr Declan is in a meeting you have to wait in other to see him." Zibal ran after her but Anna didn't stop. "Where is this meeting taking place?" She demanded.

"On the last floor but Miss Sui..." Before Zibal could say a thing, the girl had already started walking. She didn't care about any meeting. Even if she had issues with her family, Noah has no right to hurt them, they are her family. He couldn't make them go bankrupt because he can.

Arriving at the top floor, Anna found herself facing two imposing black doors. She walked to the first one and quickly opened it, only to be greeted by the intimidating faces of the men inside. The room was filled with elder statesmen, all seated around a large conference table, and only one young man sat among them, next to his father.

Their intense discussions came to a halt as every pair of eyes turned to her. The confidence Anna had felt moments before shattered under their scrutinizing gazes.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I... I sorry for..."

"Come here." Noah commanded her and her ears turned pink immediately. Most of the men glared at her, others got uninterested easily and withdrew their gazes from her. It's obvious they were all angry she has disturbed them.

Her legs carried her slowly to where Noah sat. She tried her best to ignore the piercing eyes of the men on her and focused her attention on the grey eyes staring down at her. Anna knew she had done a terrible thing interrupting their meeting, but there's nothing she could do now.

When she got close to him, Noah pulled her to seat on his lap and Anna felt like burying herself into the ground.

Her eyes were so wide as she stared at him. This man was doing this to her before these men in here including his father. She tried to stand but he held her down.

"What are you doing?" Anna whispered to the man who acted like he didn't hear anything she had said.

"You don't apologize for seeing me sweetheart." Noah said to his wife staring at her and her alone. He didn't care if she had interrupted a very important meeting, the only thing he cared about is her well being. Seeing her here he knew it was for something important, Anna isn't one of the dumb girls he's met who acts without thinking.

He wondered if her meeting went well. He had asked to help but she blatantly refused.

"I'll always be available when you need me." He held her hands in his like a fragile egg.

"Uhh, due to unforeseen personal circumstances, I must reschedule our meeting. We will reconvene next week to continue our discussions." Lionel said to the board of directors who frowned upon his words. This girl had just barged in her to disrupt an important meeting and rather than sending her out they were adjurning the meeting. Just who the hell does she think she is.

"This is not how things are done Lionel, no one dares disrupt our meeting. This should not be accepted." One of the men said gingerly trying to avoid the affection Noah was pouring on the girl. He eyed Anna disdainfully.

Youth of this days. They now shamelessly do the bedroom stuff before their elders. He was so sure she is another whore moving around like a leach, looking for any rich man to feast on.

Lionel led them out of the conference room as he sighed. He let the men pour their frustrations on him all because of his son and his immature wife. Anna was a good girl, no doubt. The best girl Noah has found, but walking into the conference room in a middle of an important meeting and disrupting everything was not nice.

These men have every right to be angry at the moment. Lionel looked at the two love birds one more time before closing the door.
