Anna was about to stand when she received a call from her grandfather. "Tell your husband to stop whatever he's doing to us. Making us go bankrupt is not funny." He hung up before she could say a thing to him.
Anna wondered what that notorious husband of hers has done to her family this time. She was already exhausted from the stress of talking to George and right now couldn't handle that.
She should have known he would try something when he saw that mark on her face. She blushed as the memory of what had happened last night flashed into her eyes.
"Are you okay miss Anna?" Lola asked and she nodded quickly. She felt embarrassed for letting herself get carried away in foolishness.
"Lola, check what is going on with my family," Anna said changing the conversation.
Lola quickly pulled out her phone and opened the internet. Her eyes widened as she scanned the news. "Anna, it looks like your family's company is in serious trouble. Stocks have plummeted, and there's talk of hostile takeovers. It seems like there's been some aggressive business moves against them." Anna sighed.
She knew he had done this, calling him will not solve the problem, she would need to see him in person.
"Find out where Noah is at the moment, I need to talk to him." Anna started walking away and Lola trailed behind her. She placed her nose mask on her face and wore her shades as she left the hotel. She hoped this would be the last time she would be visiting a hotel because of George, she hoped she had settled everything.
The little lesson she has taught him should be enough to teach him not to mess with her anymore. She had no idea why her old self had hidden her marriage from the public but she was willing to keep it that way. Though making it public that Noah Declan is her husband would go a long way to help her career.
"He's still in a office, but he's about to attend a meeting." Lola said.
"What office, Eclipse?" Anna asked to see her manager shake her head. "The Declan's group. He would be in a meeting with his father and other shareholders of the company." Anna nodded.
"I'll see you later then." She waved at Lola and got I to her car, while Lola used hers and they both parted ways. Two convoys followed closely behind her, "Take me to the Declan's Group." Anna said to the chauffeur who raised his hands in reply.
They have all been asked not to interact or talk with their bosses and he wouldn't dare go against it.

"What did she say?" Kate asked her father who was seating in his office. She had woken up this morning to her card and all of her financial means declining. There was news online about the Sui's sudden bankruptcy and she didn't understand any of it.
Kate wanted to know why her cards and bank transactions are all blocked.
"I hung up before she said a thing."
"Arghhhhhh Annaaaaaa." She grumbled with gritted teeth. They already knew the reason for this sudden shake on their empire, it's a warning from Noah telling them not to touch his wife again and if they did they would face more consequences.
"You shouldn't be speaking when you caused this?" The general said to his daughter.
"What did I do?" Kate acted innocent, her neice has annoyed her that day, she knew what she was doing when she said those things to her.
"Anna planned all of these. She knew her husband will do this to us that's why she tried to annoy me."
"It's high time you take accountability for your actions. Anna just got discharged from the hospital, and the first time she came her you slapped her."
"She came at me. She challenged me. I would slap her over again if given a second chance I do not regret anything that happened." The general held himself from slapping her this time and turned his face away. His health was not getting any better, the last thing he wanted was to die with a disorganized family.
He wasn't getting any younger to keep grudge against his granddaughter and the Declan's. It was time they made amends. He couldn't continue to punish Anna over something he did. She was right. He's the cause of everything that happened to Vincent as his wife. He caused his son's death.
He had tried to put the blame on Vincent but he couldn't anymore.
"It's time to get rid of that fake daughter of yours, I'm settling with the Declan's soon." The general said to his daughter who stared at him with wide eyes.
"What?" She yelled. "You're settling with the people who killed my brother, your son."
"You and I know I caused it. If I hadn't killed his wife then your brother will still be alive. It is time you stop your plays and childish acts and come back to your senses. The Declan's have invited us for dinner tonight and we will be in attendance." He declared leaving no room for more arguments, but Kate was not ready to back down.
"Then I think it's time you realize Nari wasn't just for fun, she's my daughter now and will be a part of the Sui's family whether you like it or not." Kate declared, she was yet to believe her father's words. Was he seriously making amends with the Declan?
Oh no, she has to do something about this. She wouldn't let things go this easily, she will have to put a stop to all of these. Kate stared at her father one last time and stepped out of his office.
