Chapter 158 SHE'S AWAKE 1

1136words
The bright morning dawned with hope and activity. Nari was the first to wake up in the Sui's mansion and according to her usual morning activities she quickly turned on her phone to check the number trends. After the whole catastrophic event that happened the previous day she had gotten a good night rest and managed to escape from the paparazzi following them.

The day had started off great only for that stupid Grace to destroy everything with her big mouth. Nari frowned as she sat in bed. But the first message she saw on her phone made her smile again.

"Mother!" She jumped down from the bed as she stepped out of the room, excited about the good news.

"Mother!"

"Mother!" Nari kept calling as she ran through the stairs. Kate who had just given the last invitation card to the Butler turned to her daughter.

"Calm down Nari, you might get yourself injured. What is it?" Nari hugged her new mother tightly.

"I got the role mother. I got the role to the movie." She jumped excitedly and Kate smiled.

"I knew you would, you're a born actress." Kate said.

"Did you get the lead role?" Kate asked and when her daughter shook her head she frowned. She had specifically asked George for the lead role paying him double of what they had agreed. She didn't even know how to cover up for the expenses before her father knew about it.

"That stupid deceiver, he couldn't even give you the role even if that girl is in coma right now." Kate spat.

"Mother this role is enough for..."

"Don't say that Nari, you're a Sui, no daughter of mine would be second option." Kate declared.

"Then she should learn to work harder if she doesn't want to be second place." The general walked into the lounge, he was fully dressed in a black suit, ready for work. He had not seen his daughter since their altercation and the way she glared at him right now proved that she was still upset with him.

"I'm working hard grandpa." Nari responded.

"If you are, you wouldn't spend close to fifty million in three days from buying unwanted items and paying for fame." He clicked his tongue. "Anna didn't spend this much money in all her years of modelling."

"It's high time you realize Anna and Nari are two different people. Anna is local." Kate defended her daughter and the general only shook his head at her words. He didn't have the time to argue with them, he had better things to do at the moment and would not sit at home to argue with Kate and her daughter.

"I dare say, if you lavish money on unnecessary things one more time, I'll be forced to lock your accounts." The General started walking away.

"So annoying." Kate remarked.

"Anyways mother, I'll be going out later. I was also informed that the shooting begins today."

While a few people had the best mornings, over at the hospital, sunlight streamed through the hospital windows, casting a warm glow on the sterile white walls and bringing a semblance of life to the hostile clinical environment. Birds chirped outside, their songs adding a cheerful soundtrack to the new day.

Inside the hospital, nurses bustled about with their morning routines, checking on patients and ensuring everything was in order. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the corridors as doctors and staff prepared for another busy day.

In Anna's room, the sunlight gently illuminated her face as she watched Noah sleep on her thighs so peacefully. She removed her hands from his hold gently, careful not to wake him up. The different machines attached to her body made her uncomfortable but she still managed to adjust to it.

She moved her fingers into his soft familiar hair gently to hear him groan then she smiled. "Mack?" She whispered to hear the person mumble a few unintelligible words as his faced her direction. Her eyes immediately went wide.

This is not Mack.

Who is this? And what is he doing in here with her?

Where is she? How did she end up in a hospital?

Is he her bodyguard? But why would he sleep on her legs?

Anna stared at the face of the man warily. He looked intimidating, at the same time, he's as handsome as hell. She quickly pinched herself from day dreaming. She's dating Mack not him, if Mack sees her in here with a man what would he think?

Their relationship would be over before it even started. She's been through so much already to jeopardize the relationship she has already. Mack is doing her a favour by not tossing her to the streets after everything that happened between her and Nari.

At her thought she quickly shook her legs, forcing the head of the man there off her body. But her actions didn't do much, Noah stirred and slowly opened his eyes. His gaze met hers, and his expression shifted from groggy confusion to relief.

"My sweet girl," he breathed, sitting up quickly and taking her hands in his. "You're awake."

Anna pulled her hands back, instinctively folding it. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling. This man here even referred to her as his sweet girl, she is the his, she's still dating Mack. Did he mistake her for someone else?

He looked so familiar, but she couldn't just tell where she's seen him before. She was confused at his words. She's never seen him in her life, yet it looks like she's lived with him her whole life.

Noah's face fell, and he looked devastated. "You don't remember me?" He asked. She could hear the underlined frustration in his voice. Anna shook her head gently, "Who are you?" She asked again staring at him.

"Your husband." Noah said flatly finding it impossible to believe she couldn't recognize him.

"Husband?" Anna repeated, shaking her head. "No, that's not possible. I'm dating Mack."

Noah's eyes widened with shock and pain. "Anna, we've been married fot a few months now. You... you don't remember?"

Anna shook her head again, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't understand. How did I get here? Where is Mack?"

"Alright, no don't cry, I'll get the doctor okay?" Noah pressed the little emergency button on her bed as he wiped her tears with his thumb.

"Anna!" Grace called as she stepped into the room. "Oh my God my baby." Grace rushed to her neice's side and hugged her.

"Aunt Grace." Anna called which had Noah almost cackling. She remembered her aunt but couldn't remember him? He's never felt more stressed in his life. But he deserves it. If this is nature's way of punishing him, then it's done good.
