Anna didn't have a place in mind, but she knew she needed a little peace and quiet for herself. Her head and brain was clouded with everything that had happened today. She hadn't expected her day to be filled with so much drama but here she is.
"I don't know." She was honest, her once vibrant blue eyes now doll as she stared at him. "Do you have a place in mind?" She asked for her hubby to nod. She had asked him not to do anything this time since it concerns her family, but Noah, as always was itching to help his wife out.
He could just end this mystery with a click of his fingers. All he has to do was cough to make things happen. He didn't like seeing her this dispirited, but he had to respect her wish.
"A place you would love so much. Take that as our first date." Anna smiled and nodded. Noah could make her forget her name by just smiling to her.
Noah stopped his car at the entrance of the fashion house. He stepped out of the car and so did Anna. He had worn her face mask and shades while also wearing his. Anna had asked him the reason for it and he said he hired some paparazzi to take photos of them.
While dealing with a few issues, she needed to entertain her fans too.
People seeing Anna Sui with a man who's not Mack would spark conversations among and keep them talking about her for a few hours before the announcement tonight. Noah had everything planned and Anna couldn't thank him enough.
Keeping her career afloat as well as fighting unseen battles. He's the best gift nature has given her, and she was thankful for it.
Noah stretched his hands for her to take and a man approached them. "Welcome sir."
"Park the car, we'll be back soon." He threw his keys to the man and led his wife in. As the double glass doors closed, Anna phone rang. She quickly checked the caller to see it was her aunt Kathy. Why was she suddenly calling her?
Is her grandfather okay? Is he dead?
She could feel her heart racing so wildly, "I have to take this." Anna said to Noah before walking away calmly. She stepped into the wash room, took deep breaths before calling her aunt back again.
"What took you so long to pick my calls?" Came the demanding voice of Kate.
"I didn't hear you cal..." Anna tried to explain but was easily cut off by her raging aunt. "I heard you have a new entertainment company having a grand opening party tonight." Kate started and Anna frowned. She knew where all of these was going to and she didn't like it a bit.
"Yes." Her response was plain as she gritted her teeth. It's only so much she could take from her Aunt. She was at the verge of losing it.
"That's a wonderful news, probably the best I've heard from you since Mack. Anyways, your cousin Nari wants to start her career all over again. Since you were the one to destroy it, it wouldn't take you much to revive it." Came Kate's words. "After all, you did revive your career too." She concluded.
"I'm afraid I cannot help anyone." Anna said coldly. There's no way in this life she would let Nari come back to the limelight, not after everything she did.
"With everything that happened today I thought you wouldn't say no. Your grandfather got a heart attack from the accusations you made, the least you can do is help your cousin if you still want to be a part of this family." Anna didn't say anything anymore and just listened.
She could live without her inheritance, she had Noah but her family was more important to her. If she leaves, Nari would destroy everything her family have worked for years to build. She couldn't let them crumble when she could help them.
"Send the invitation card, we'll all be there to see Nari." Kate hung up without another word. She has to come up with a plan quickly to get Nari out of her family before things get out of hand.
Immediately her phone beeped with Lola's message flashing on the screen. Anna clicked on the message and covered her lips at the headlines.
"Nari A New Member Of The Sui's Family"
Anna couldn't believe her eyes, the news was spreading like wild fire. Her phone was buzzing with endless calls and text messages. She placed the phone on the sink and just watched it buzz.
One headline has turned the entire media into chaos as questions flew from one angle to another. Nari is always known to be her rival, and now she's her sister.
Anna scoffed rinsing her face with water as she stared at her reflection through the mirror.
Once again, Nari won and she lost. First it was Mack, now it's her family. What next would she lose?
Noah?
*Knock* The silent raps on the door distracted her from her thoughts and she turned to look at it.
"Are you alright sweetheart?" She heard Noah's voice, Anna quickly picked her cell phone and opened the door for him to step in. Worry was evident on his face. "I... I'm fine." She said calmly.
"The seamstress is waiting for you." He said to see her nod. Anna took in silent breaths as she picked her cell phone from where she had kept it and started walking away. She needed to calm down before she thinks of a way to get Nari out. And this time it had to be for good, before she invades her life the more.
Anna turned off her phone as they walked back in.
