She was so good at breaking things, she would break this family, the same way they broke hers.
She would have had her child by now, she would have been married to Mack if Anna hadn't destroyed everything. Now it's her turn to destroy them back.
"Anna, I understand you don't like me because of everything I did to you in the past, but I'm really sorry." She started. "It's just that," she bit her lips. "Mack really love me and not you, I should have told you." Nari concluded.
"Who cares about you and Mack? I don't know what you and Aunt Kate are planning but you better stop." Anna glared at her. She would never stoop this low to talk to Nari, but today was exceptional. Seeing her worst nightmare become her family was outrageous.
"That's disrespectful Anna. Your aunt..." Nari paused. "My mother can never plan anything against you. She's always loved me since we were kids but you were just all about yourself to notice." Nari blabbed.
"Y..."
"That's enough Anna. You have no right to judge whatever I did. Don't forget your place, you stopped being a member of this family the very day you decided to stay with that man. I have a daughter now, so watch your inheritance, it's not like you were interested in it in the first place." Kate threatened.
"Don't say that Kate. Whether you adopt a child or not, Anna is still the first grandchild of the family and still the right heir." Grace scolded.
"We'll let father decide then, I know he'll be more than welcoming to my new daughter."
"Madam Grace, master wants to speak to you." Bean announced standing next to Grace. He stared at Anna and sighed. He knew she couldn't do anything to stop this madness, he should call Noah before things get out of hands.
"He's back so early?" Grace asked for Bean to nod gently.
"Oh your grandfather is back Nari, let's go say hi to him." She pushed Anna out of the way with her shoulders and started walking away.
Grace who was being called upon turned to her neice, "Let's go Anna." She started walking but Anna stayed back to stare at the girl before her.
"How does it feel to own everything you once had, everything you think?" Nari laughed. "You never thought I'll be back to take my revenge did you?"
"Don't you dare hurt my family Nari." Anna warned.
"What do you take me for? An evil despicable being?" She placed her hands on her chest as if shocked.
"Don't you dare hurt my family Nari." Anna didn't wait for her response and started walking away. When she arrived in the lounge, her grandfather and aunties were already heated in a serious conversation and all stopped when they saw her.
For the first time in her life Anna felt like a complete outcast. She's never felt more alone in her life, and she hated that she couldn't do anything about it.
"Anna what are you doing standing there, come here." Her aunt Grace called and she went to seat next to her. "Grandpa." The general said nothing to his granddaughter to show that he was still so angry at her.
"Father meet Nari, my new adopted daughter." Kathy smiled stretching her hands for Nari to take it. Anna has never felt more jealous, she hated that someone else was stealing her place.
"Isn't she beautiful father?" General Sui smiled at his new granddaughter. He adjusted his glasses as she stared at the girl. "She is." He nodded.
"Like I was saying father, there's no need to adopt a child now, we already have Anna." Grace proposed.
"I don't see anything wrong in that. Kate is happy. You should try to adopt a child for yourself too."
"Not if the child is the one who hurt Anna. You both know what she did."
"Nari apologized publicly to Anna twice. If we cannot forgive Nari for the past, why should we forgive Anna for marrying a Declan." Kate started. "If Anna is allowed to be married to that man, then Nari stays."
"Anna is the true member of this family Kate, you have no right to take her out." Grace yelled.
"She stopped being a member of this family the very day she decided to be with that man. If you want to still be a part of this family Anna, then you'd have to accept Nari as your sister."
"This is so unfair and unacceptable father. Anna should be forgiven no matter what."
"And so should Nari." Both women glared at each other. "It is high time you respect my daughter and learn to accept her as a member of this family now. She's now a Sui." Kate roared.
"Nari had talked about picking her career again and going back fully into the industry, she would need support father." Anna almost scoffed at her aunt's words. She couldn't believe her ears. This is the same woman that had asked her not to be a model or be part of the industry but here she is supporting someone else for it.
"So you adopted her just to be spiteful?" Anna asked to recieve a glare from her grandfather and she pursed her lips.
"How dare you question my actions. I've liked Nari from the first day she stepped her foot in this mansion."
"To the point you'd rather endanger the life of your neice?" Noah walked in and Anna's eyes turned wide. "You adopt a menace into your family to hurt you own..." He drawled. "How barbaric." He clicked his tongue. Kate got up from where she sat immediately, glaring at the man that just walked in.
"How dare you call my daughter a menace? Like you and your family aren't menaces enough." Kate spat boldly to Noah. He has wanted to shut this woman's mouth, but his soft wife loves her so much to let him harm her. Kate has tempted him to the edge but he still controlled himself.
"Noah didn't kill Papa and Mama."
"Oh Anna don't keep opening the volt I already sealed. Don't remind us of what you have done." Kate barked. "You sleep in bed every night with a man who's parents murdered yours yet you preach about morals."
"If it's anything grandpa killed his grandmother first." Anna defended her husband. She knew the truth now and wouldn't let them deceive her anymore for their selfish reasons.
"Anna!!" The general screamed and in the next moment he held his chest. "Father." Kate and Grace called sonically rushing to their father's side as they held him.
"Grandpa." Anna and Nari called too, seeing the general struggling to breath, "Get his treatment kit and get the doctor now." Kate yelled at the maids and butler who rushed to do their duties. Anna quickly rejected saying anything.
Everyone was scared and nervous for the old man except Noah, who could see through the old man's act. He almost scoffed but held himself. Not because of what the family would say, but because his wife would get mad at him. He would do everything to avoid her scolding and silliness again.
He didn't want them to get home and start fighting anymore.
Supplemental oxygen was placed on the general's nose and slowly, he started breathing normally again. But the general didn't open his eyes yet.
Soon, the doctor came and he was rushed into his room.
Anna and the rest remained in the lounge while they waited impatiently for the doctors words. "If anything happens to father I'll kill you Anna. Just pray nothing happens to him." Anna wiped her tears at her aunty's words.
"You would do no such thing, you wouldn't dare lay a finger on my wife." Kate frowned at his words.
"What are you doing here? You're not even welcomed in here?" Kate asked.
"Here to get my half, you can't live with just a part of you now can you?" Noah smiled. His voice calm and collected, making him so mysterious and Nari couldn't help but blush at him. He did things to her even without looking her way since he got here.
His charisma and powerful aura seemed to impress her a lot. A man as powerful as Noah, shouldn't be seen with a woman as weak as Anna.
Noah stretched his hands and Anna got up to take it. She ran into Noah's arms and hugged him as she sobbed quietly. "Why didn't you tell me where you were headed, you got me so worried." He whispered just for her to hear.
Anna knew what he meant by getting worried, only God knows the damage he must have cost at the moment. She doubts Noah would let her out of his sight ever again
"I... I had to rush down here." Came her soft voice and Noah hugged her tightly. "That's okay, you don't have to cry anymore." He said pressing his lips on her forehead.
