And she even had to wear something as tiny as this?
"Ex husband." Anna corrected. She couldn't believe Noah was actually here, though she thought about it, but she didn't think he'd be crazy enough to actually come here.
'I thought he had signed the divorce papers?' Anna bit down on her lower lips at her thought.
If she had her way she would run through this well-trained guards and escape from him, but she had no such skills.
The last thing she wanted was to see Noah here, not after everything his family did to hers. Though her heart wanted something else, her family was more important than any stupid feelings.
"When did you stop being my wife? Let's go home." Noah said coldly.
"I'm not going anywhere with you, we don't have a home. We've signed the divorce papers Noah, leave me alone." Noah suddenly smiled downwards as he narrowed his eyes at her. By now, they were both drenched in the rain, but neither cared.
Chalamet and Janjan were long gone, leaving Anna and Noah to themselves.
"Says who?" Noah asked. "So bold of you to send the divorce papers." He moved his hands through his wet hair and let out a sigh. Never in his life did he think he would find a woman this troublesome.
"What did I tell you when we got married? For better for worse. There's no escaping from me my sweet girl." He smiled.
He moved a step closer and Anna suddenly raised her hands to stop him, "Don't you dare come close to me Noah, let me be. I don't want to be married to you anymore." Noah paid deaf ears to her and picked her up.
The chauffeur rolled the car over to the position where they stood immediately and Noah carried his wife into the car countering all of her attacks to be free from him.
"Noah let me go." Anna screamed as he placed her in his car and got in. "Take us to the hotel." He ordered the man and he started driving away.
Anna tried to open the car from her side but the door didn't open. "Don't bother trying it won't open." She heard him say and she frowned. She didn't listen and still kept trying but after a few more tries, she stopped.
She was exhausted already and didn't have the strength to fight him anymore. It's not like she could be free from him, Noah had his guards everywhere. He wouldn't be stupid to let her out of his sight anymore.
Anna stared out the window in silence as the car accelerated through the city. Seeing where they drove through, she realized she had been staying in the outskirt of the city. The part where normal people lives.
"You look tired." Noah's soft voice was heard and she turned to look at him. Her face suddenly contoured into a deep frown. And as if realizing herself, "Don't talk to me Noah." She barked.
"I should be the one mad at you for ghosting me for a whole week after that little misunderstanding with your grandfather." He met her blue eyes, his grey eyes staring back at her.
Little? Did he really call what he did little?
"You pointed a gun at grandpa's head. You almost killed him." Anna yelled.
"You know I wouldn't do that. I can't believe you'd believe anything they said."
"They're my family Noah."
"And what am I to you? A stranger?"
"You're the man who's family killed mine. You and your family are evil, you should stay away from me." She spat. Noah was silent for a moment, "I'm afraid I can't do that. Whatever my family did is not my business. Whatever happened is between your grandfather and mine, let them settle their differences."
"My parents are involved Noah, he killed my parents..."
"Your family killed mine first sweet. It's unfortunate your parents were victims of their games. This is all just a misunderstanding, I told you to call me." Noah sighed feeling really frustrated by this whole situation.
That general has brain washed his wife against him and his family. It's not like his entire family was involved in it. He feels terrible for whatever his grandfather did, but the elder did it out of retaliation for their stupid fight.
"Why would I call you when you hid such information from me? If you knew the truth all along, why didn't you tell me."
"And make you run away from me like you're doing now?"
"I... I." Anna couldn't find the right words. She bit her lower lips.
"If I had to hide that secret for the rest of my life I would as long as we live in peace."
"That's barbaric."
"The only reason I had that gun to your grandfather's head which I regret not pulling the trigger is because he promised to separate us because of his selfish reasons." Anna's eyes turned wide.
"You will not harm my family Noah." She warned.
"Oh I will if they try to steal you away from me." He threatened.
"O... Our family will never let us be together, it's best we go our separate ways." Anna said calmly.
"Then you'd have to kill me to keep me away from you. And even after that, my spirit will still haunt you till we're finally together." Came Noah's words. Anna didn't say a word anymore and just stared out the window. Noah is a stubborn man, it'll take more than just words to keep him away from her.
She needed a plan.
Even if she loves him darely, she couldn't be with him, not after what his family did to hers. She would be with her parents if they hadn't killed them.
