Chapter 109 FROM LOVERS TO ENEMIES

When they arrived at the hotel, both people stepped out of the car and were both escorted by the guards into the hotel.

Noah led Anna to his room on the last floor, "I want a separate room." He heard her say when he opened the door.

"So that you can run away as always? Never." He dragged her in and closed the door. It irked him that the little bond they once shared was now broken by that stupid old man.

Just when he thought his family had finally dropped their pride and apologize to the Sui's, his mother has refused them, saying they will never stoop so low to apologize to nobodies.

The feud between both families was too much and he hated that he and his wife were both at the center of everything. He didn't imagine his life would be this way, if only his wife isn't rooted in family, they wouldn't mind at all.

He understood her anger, but she is taking it out on the wrong person.

Noah walked over to his closet to get a few clothes, he dropped them on the bed and turned to the woman still standing close to the door.

This was her chance to run away, but Noah's guards were standing outside. Trying to escape is like causing more troubles for herself.

"You can have your bath now and change those wet clothes." Noah said softly even if she barely looked at him. Anna wanted to ignore him like she would for the rest of her life, but she knew she had to bath and change her clothes too.

She was drenched in the rain and was freezing so badly. She walked into the bathroom and settled in the warm water Noah had prepared. He was being all sweet as always and it warmed her heart. Noah is a good man, that's the reason she loved him in the first place.

He has been genuine since she met him if only her family wasn't involved. Her parents... She has always sworn to take revenge on whoever had killed them only for it to be the man she loves.

When Anna stepped out of the bathroom with a towel hanging on her breast, she picked the clothes Noah had picked for her only find him lying on the couch with a cup of coffee on the table.

He has changed his wet clothes into one of the dry ones he got and was already fast asleep.

She fought the urge to wake him up and force him to lay with her on the comfortable bed. He isn't the only one hurting this way, but she knew she needed to protect her heart from the worst.

Anna wore the PJ and went to bed too. She would have to come up with more tactics to make Noah sign those divorce papers for good. She'll never accept him as long as her family hasn't.

When Anna woke up the next morning she found herself in a different room entirely. It didn't look like the room she had gone to last night, or the master's bedroom in Noah's mansion. She hadn't been to this place before. Has she been kidnapped.

She jumped out of the bed to find herself in a more comfortable night dress. This was different from what she had worn last night. Anna searched for the door and ran out immediately when she found one.

"Madam." Paul greeted with a bright smile. I was just about to bring you your breakfast, but since you're already here. Do you want to join master Noah..."

"No." Anna said quickly. She strained her neck a little to see Noah alone eating quietly on his seat. They were in his private jet and Anna couldn't help but wonder how they even got here.

Paul still stunned at her reply then said, "I... I shall keep it in the room then." He walked away.

He had been shocked when his master brought her in unconscious and was still shocked he hadn't slept in the room with her rather had slept on one of the seat over there.

Noah had asked him to give her options of joining him for breakfast or staying in the room and she choose the room over him. He didn't need anyone to tell him something was wrong with them. The fight they had must have been a big fight.

Paul on the other hand has accepted his faith with the Shen daughter. He has never been a match for her, what he felt before was a mere fling and he regrets his actions.

He has never seen Noah this frustrated in his life, and he hoped his madam will come back to her senses before things gets worse.

He wouldn't blame him. His boss was good at almost everything except heartbreak since he's never been in love before.

Paul dropped the tray of fresh bread, fruits and a glass of milk on her table and then walked out. Anna walked into the bathroom to freshen up before heading back into the room to eat her food.

Once they landed, Noah took her back to their mansion before leaving her for work. She finally turned on her phone after a whole week to see her phone buzzing with text messages and calls from both her family and Noah.

Noah had called her more than 500 times and had sent several voice notes and messages to her but she hadn't responded. He was genuinely worried about her.

Anna checked her most recent messages and noticed a call from her aunt Kathy. She wondered if she had called because she was worried about her, but this call only came in last night.

She quickly dialed her aunt's number, "Anna where have you been why aren't you picking your calls?" Kathy's demanding voice was heard from the other end.

"I just turned on my phone."

"After rejecting the divorce papers your husband and placed a restraining order against us. He said we're manipulating you and want to cause you harm and that we're no longer allowed around you."
